You’re more likely to have 0, 4 time champs than 3 or even 2. Spencer Lee, Mark Hall, Kyle Snyder, Dustin Schlatter, David Taylor, J’Den Cox…. Being a 4X champ rarely happens, and it’s not usually the guys you’d think it would be.3 points

Israel needs to take a genociding course if they are ever going to get serious about it. Horrible genociders. Proportional response, retreat, negotiation, robust missile defense, and every other technique Israel has tried to stop from being indiscriminately killed has failed and now they are showing their weakness at genocide. Of course, they could genocide themselves as seems to be the preferred solution in Gaza, south Lebanon, and American university faculty lounges. Then, for sure, the Muslim world would instantly fall into a blissful state of peace.3 points

There are things to criticize with any coaching staff outside of State College, but you invalidate your own criticism when your starting place is "they can't coach." It's a ridiculous statement that doesn't even really merit a rebuttal, but because you've annoyed me I'll do it anyway. The "getting off bottom" criticism had some merit a few years ago but has largely been corrected. I think that can definitely be attributed to a lack of focus on that area historically which was definitely worthy of examination. Front head or head under I don't know where you're getting that. There are a number of wrestlers in their lineup that score frequently from both positions. Mat returns I'm assuming you just threw in their because you needed a third example and you picked it out of a hat. Tomasello went 1-3-3-3 with losses to Gilman, Clark, and Lee at NCAA's. Wrestled a great tournament his freshman year but was lucky to have Moisey in the finals. Martin had an all-time run as a true freshman to win it from the 11 seed, but only faced the 6 seed and three unseeded opponents until he knocked off an over-zealous Nickal in that final. He improved every single year thereafter. Bo Jordan was hampered massively in the back half of his career by injuries, and dealt with an unplanned launch into fatherhood while still in college. Your criticism is lazy, and if you really want to criticize Ohio State you're not even picking the right examples. You also completely ignore the many many positive examples that support an argument that not only can TR and staff coach, but they can coach quite well.2 points

Not a lot of action this morning with only three events, but there was a big upset. #1 seed Sam Short of Australia seems not fully recovered from recent illness as he fails to make the 800 final. Meanwhile, our hero, Bobby Finke will look to copy his world championship swim and win it from an outside lane. As a recovering distance swimmer, I love to watch this guy bring it home like a runaway locomotive. But beware as only 3 seconds separated first from eighth in an 8 minute race. On the women's side McIntosh eased her way into the 400 IM final where she will be the prohibitive favorite. The 100 back will be another barn burner as 4 of the 5 fastest swimmers ever are through to tonite's semi.2 points

With Michael North moving on from college wrestling, Dario Lemus completing his redshirt and ready to start at 141, the younger brother Kal Miller is bumping from 141 to 157 while Ethen stays at 149. Separately David Szuba, heavyweight MAC champion last year is redshirting this year as a senior.2 points

Also if Mesenbrink was so smart, shouldn't he have known the score in his own finals match? Or maybe he's better with the arts than sciences?2 points

Crazy to look at that list and say zero, but if I had to pick one, I’d pick Mirasola. I think he is great today and will compete in a weight class with less high quality competition. The other guys will likely cross each other or other 2-4x champs in their way.1 point

This was the exact process that one university used that recruited my son. In fact, his official visit was during the team roster wrestle offs. We got to attend the wrestle offs. Let me tell you, it was intense and you could cut the tension in the air with a knife.1 point

If you disagree with him, fine. But where is your argument? I guess you aren’t able to say what is you disagree with him on so you just throw out insults, hoping that will discredit him? Is that the best you can do?1 point

Come on man. The border is secure. The crime rate is the lowest in history. The border numbers have gone down below Trumps numbers. So, they say but I doubt it.(every since Biden put Trumps executive actions back in place).1 point

Every 4 years since Reagan was President the Heritage Foundation has written up proposals for incoming Presidents. This one is 950 pages. I firmly believe Trump knows exactly what he is going to do when he gets elected on Nov. 5th. I'm sure there are things in the proposal that are similar to President Trump ideas.1 point

It's interesting seeing JD Vance call for Biden to resign while I believe Trump hasn't done this yet. Trump, as flawed as he is as a leader, has incredible political instincts. I think he recognizes that calling for Biden to resign is a de facto endorsement of Kamala for being President.1 point

OK…so I tried my best…I went to the NBC link above and this is what I have for coverage of mens freestyle at the Olympics…as usual with wrestling, nothing is straightforward, explained or logical but here goes: Olympic wrestling 57k 8/8 5am ET Eliminations (Elim) 11 am Elim 8/9 5 pm Finals 65k 8/10 5 am Elim 8:30 am Elim 8/10 10 am Finals 74k 8/9 5 am Elim 8:30 am Elim 8/10 12:15 Finals 86 8/8 5 am Elim 8/9 12:15 pm Finals 97k 8/10 5 am Elim 8:30 am Elim 8/11 10 am Finals 125k 8/9 5 am Elim 8:30 am Elim 8/10 4 pm Finals Notes -There is no 86k second round of Eliminations listed -57k Finals for men and women listed for 5 pm on 8/9 but women 57k also listed for 12:15…my guess is that mens will be wrestled then as well but who knows? -On 8/11 at 5 am it says “Mat B: Repechages and Finals” and at 10 am it says M 65, 97 so my guess is that 5 am is live and 10 am is a rerun -The nonsense continues…by and for Sherlock Holmes would retire trying to solve this riddle but I tried my best1 point

NO ONE voted for kamala. she dropped out. Biden picked her for one reason only. usually, the VP is someone who actually scored well in primaries1 point
-
I honestly don’t know. I spent a small amount of time googling it….. and I only found articles about other sort of related stuff like ….. Kamala is the new person running for president. When I say a small amount of time like 300 seconds before I decided idk or the Google search engine is pushing the answer down far enough I’m not going to find it. I ask cause …. If Biden died today the vp is 1000000% the pres. it’s unclear to me if that applies to incumbent pres dropping out of next years race. I.e…. Did Kamala get vote via “Biden” being pres or is it more ambiguous.1 point
-
That would be relevant if he was vacating the Presidency. He is not doing that. He vacated his campaign for the 2024 election, which has not been voted yet.1 point

It doesn't negate uncle bernards point about the fact that the system that appointed biden assumed Harris would replace him...but this is so true. He literally picked the grossest most incompetent person he could so he would have a shot at a second term.1 point

Kamela wasn’t ever considered biden’s replacement. She was his insurance against being impeached.1 point

LOL...you telling me I am misunderstanding a problem is rich...by the way, my opinion and what I said stands on it's own, I couldn't' give two rats behinds what you THINK it should be. Anyway, if you need to think everyone thinks about their vote like you do go ahead...hopefully it gives you your warm and fuzzy's and you can sleep better at night in your tent at some college protest encampment than go ahead...it isn't going to change the way I think.1 point
