Page 5 of 5. Weasel words are the true victors. There was no inferring even being attempted or insinuating until BB lost the bet. Then he weaseled out of it. Under technicality, @jrossis correct. It was clear that BB weaseled out of having to pay by saying he inferred a different set of dates. There was no reason for anybody to believe otherwise aside for himself which was a deliberate attempted at being a turdbiscuit (you know what I am saying here, gents). I must applaud his tenacity in claiming he won that exchange. He lost. Everybody lost and left the thread even more stupid than before they entered it as a direct result of his (BB) poor attempt at being a turdbiscuit. For that and that alone he should have to donate $2k to CKWC for having wasted my time twice now. The first time in 2012 and the second time just now.4 points

I like having Ban around because then I’m not the dumbest person allowed to wander outside The Zoo walls. He’s like the husband in my wife’s friend group that swears by crypto - I look good by default with that knuckle head at the dinner table.3 points

News used to be just presenting information and not an opinion piece. Everything now is an opinion piece.3 points

I have learned one thing today. Ban was just as obnoxious and stupid 10+ years ago. Either I'd forgot this fact or I put him on ignore much sooner than this go around.2 points

My guess is Ban Basketball just disappears for awhile now. Then he will pop up on a new wrestling forum, with same exact handle, talking smack about the Hawkeyes while simultaneously sucking Cael's thumb. Then someone like me will clapback a little towards him, and his insecurities will result in a meltdown, accusing everyone of attacking him for the last 20 years. Rinse and repeat. He is the definition of dishing it out, but can't take it.2 points

I've made countless bets on wrestling forums over the years, never shaking one hand. I'm a diehard Hawkeye fan and have paid my hard earned blue collar money to the Nittany Lion wrestling club several times. Suck it up buttercup2 points

why does it matter what their status (illegal/legal) ? the point is that a massive influx of humans into a city wreaks havoc. (whodda thunk?) and that city is thousands of miles away from said border. now think about how municipalities in the southwest must be affected. i love the irony of people advocating for open borders and sanctuary cities going insane when their town actually becomes a sanctuary city. you can't make up this kind of stupid.2 points

Yes, forum users over the last two decades have their own collective Mandela effect in place. That sounds logical. I'm 100% unbiased here.2 points

Joined the forum on Monday and based on the replies, there's no way this will be a fair vote. Some of the responses were humorous, but some were deluded. I learned that the conjecture was all in the name of "banter," more rhetorical than any thing else. Somehow having 2 individual champions in 10 years not named Spencer Lee instead of 1 rendered the position that Tom Brands and the Hawkeyes underachieve moot. That's just total bias IMO. Hawkeye fans will run over Ban, he has no chance.1 point

Ah now we see the reason the estimable BobDole has relegated BB to the hinterlands on the boards all these years. I never figured it was a personal vendetta but the possibility is compelling. I'm sure BB did not make it too difficult for BobDole to make those decisions. I vote BB free and clear based on Jross's very good analysis of the situation. Plus BB has done his time in purgatory. Let him be free!! mspart1 point

A coda to this conversation from the Knight Foundation (link below) - schools are spending more for their football coaches than they do on all costs for all athletes across all sports. You won't be surprised by one of the teams on this list: According to the report, nine of the 51 public Power 5 schools (18%) hit the crossover point in fiscal year 2022. Of those nine schools, four were in the SEC (LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss), three were in the Big 12 (Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas) and the Big Ten (Iowa) and ACC (Florida State) each had one. I'm a Syracuse native. Jim Boeheim has an accurate take on the latest ACC expansion: “And the ironic thing is (schools) used to make $10 million and spend it all, now they’re making $50 million and they spend it all. So, it doesn’t matter how much money they make. They’re just going to spend it anyway. There’s no money left over.” https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38338910/many-schools-track-spend-more-coaches-player-needs1 point

Because Ryder is spending his senior year at M2/NLWC and will have as much time at PSU as Barr before Starocci leaves. I see the lineup at 157-184 in two years time as: 157: Haines/Sealey 165: Sealey/Haines 174: Messenbrink 184: Ryder/Barr Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
