In the dimly lit corridors of a wrestling summit, Cael Sanderson—head coach of Penn State and an a secret Sith Lord—stood cloaked in mystery, his reputation as the most dominant figure in collegiate wrestling undisputed. With twelve NCAA team titles under his belt, Sanderson's achievements were unparalleled. Facing him were Tom Brands, the venerable Iowa coach known for his fiery passion and three NCAA championships , and MPhillips, the insightful journalist from TheMat.com As the discussion intensified, Brands cautioned, "Cael, your dominance is impressive, but remember, power unchecked can lead to downfall." MPhillips added thoughtfully, "Balance is essential, even in wrestling. The force must be used wisely." Sanderson's eyes glinted as he responded, "I am wrestling." In that moment, the room fell silent, the weight of his words echoing—a declaration of his unparalleled mastery and the enigmatic aura that surrounded him.3 points

I haven't checked the math but someone on the PSU board says PSU returns 144 points, Nebraska 98, and Iowa 73, making both Nebraska and Iowa clear favorites for the title.2 points

Jimmy is slacking today. I expected two new threads by now.. "Is Ferrari the favorite next year at HWT?" and "Will Beau Bartlett end the PSU era?... If Beau exposes what's been going on behind the scenes at PSU, will Cael be fired and the PSU era be over?"2 points

Not sure who Bartlett is referring to, but Mineo call me an a hole. I may get t-shirts printed up.2 points

Because raging leftists will find and post their personal information on the internet. They cover their names often too for this reason.2 points

True to the dancing bears of old, Ferrari never takes shots then just smothers his guy on top without ever doing anything to attempt a turn, and he isn't active on bottom unless he has to be. Lots of 2-1 matches coming up this year. Also jacked out of his mind and will be the favorite. If you told me he prefers a parallel ride and spiral ride then I would have to blink to make sure you weren't telling me Tony Nelson magically found another year of eligibility.1 point

There was no way he was starting there, so it makes sense. The guy has more miles on him than an albatross. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Given that Bartlett raised the issue with higher-ups and it was not addressed makes me think it's someone more influential than a fellow team member - maybe a coach.1 point

Ya. Giving stupid irrelevant lucrative contracts to your buddies is just. We’ll just Normal. We as tax payers should just look the other way. Guys like you who pay nearly nothing in taxes don’t care that those of us that pay have to support this nonsense.1 point

I've heard that there was a serious beef between Bartlett and Starocci regarding Bartlett's girlfriend with Starocci's opinion that Bartlett was more concerned about her than wrestling i.e. Bartlett wasn't putting in the extra effort to be a champ. Carter allegedly said some really crude/rude comments about her There were a lot of rumors around December/January that a girlfriend was causing issues for a Penn State wrestler if anyone remembers.1 point

You're right, unless Arnold knew he wasn't going to get the PSU start when he called out starocci which i think is likely, but then again AJ seems to sit down at the beginning of the year and prioritize hiding from competition (why else is he reluctantly going to nebraska over UNC).1 point

This reminds me of something really funny. Many years ago, in the early days of the MMA/BJJ scene, they held submission grappling tournaments at the North Phoenix Baptist Church. A guy named Richard Hamilton who ran a club there held them. And a who's who of early MMA talent was there at various times, or participated in those early tournaments. Kerr, Coleman, Frye, Severn, etc. The tournaments were pretty competitive, and there was always at least one fist fight that broke out. The church is huge, they have 2 gyms, a roller skating rink, etc. So one of the tournaments was going on alongside some kind of Karate point sparring tournament in the other gym, the kind where you really don't hit the other guy. One local BJJ instructor has never seen this before, he was an old school guy, and he was fascinated by watching it because he didn't understand why they didn't really hit each other. So another guy who was involved in the early MMA stuff out here comes up to him and says "And all these guys think they can kick our ass." while pointing out a prominent karate instructor explaining that the guy was a multi millionaire from this. I think we know who the suckers are in this case.1 point

Evidence of Nazi persecution of socialists: Outlawing socialist organizations: The Nazi Party outlawed socialist and communist parties, dissolved trade unions, and arrested or killed their leaders and members. Targeting of socialist leaders and members: Prominent members of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and Communist Party (KPD) were arrested and imprisoned in concentration camps. This included individuals like Ernst Thälmann, leader of the Communist Party, and Rudolf Hilferding, a leading theorist of the Social Democratic Party, both of whom were killed. Concentration camps: Dachau, the first Nazi concentration camp, was specifically built to imprison political opponents, including communists, trade unionists, and social democrats. Violence and intimidation: Nazi forces, like the SA (Sturmabteilung) and Gestapo, targeted and persecuted socialists, communists, and others who opposed the Nazi Party, leading to violence, arrests, and murders. Suppression of opposition: The Nazis' actions against socialists and other political opponents effectively eliminated organized opposition to their regime, solidifying their power and establishing a one-party dictatorship. Nazi rhetoric against socialism: Hitler and the Nazis often used the term "socialism" in their party name, the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP), but their ideology differed significantly from traditional socialism. They rejected Marxist concepts of class conflict and internationalism, instead promoting a form of "national socialism" that aimed to create a racially pure society based on racial hierarchy and nationalism. Hitler aimed to discredit and dismantle actual socialist movements, portraying them as enemies of the state.1 point
