  1. Referring to Biden as honest and competent. Kudos to your humor.

  2. As we all know the left is in turmoil because they can't find a decent candidate to run against Trump, who is a pretty absurd figure. Why can't they? 1) All the momentum within the democratic party is on the extreme, economically moronic, oppressor/oppressed narrative is everything, utopian Marxist end. Any who catches that lightening is going to be DOA. No moderates allowed. 2) Because they are so far down the utopian rabbit hole, the democratic party hasn't elevated anyone who isn't willing to pass counterfactual purity tests to the point where they look like complete imbeciles. Why was the incompetent and ridiculous Kamala made VP? Because she's dumb enough to parrot anything. This is virtue in the democratic party. The right isn't much better, it has a significant problem with caring more about "owning the libs" than about actual policy, but its clear which side is more radicalized and potentially harmful.

  4. Immigrants commit crimes at lower levels than citizens. You can always find an instance or three of someone in an ethnic group who commits a horrible crime, but to cast that on the whole group is, well, racist. Oil is depleted? The US is a net exporter of energy. What resources are depleted, compared to the rest of the world? Who disrespects our military, besides Trump ("losers" and "suckers")? Doomsday predictions about the US currency have been going around for, what, decades? Maybe there's a reason why that just doesn't happen.Violent crime in the US has been dropping for decades, and is as low as it has ever been. From Pew: You know what has gone up? Public perception of crime rates. Who is it that beats the drum about crime, especially by illegal immigrants? What needs to change? Stop drinking the Kool-Ade, and stop listening to media outlets that spew BS 24/7.

  5. It is apparent if you read this that he did nothing deserving 4 years time. He was there and not much else. He was happy with 18 months, but more than doubling that to 4 years for not doing anything originally charged with. They brought that up after the plea deal. Dirty pool. mspart

  7. I know reading comprehension can be hard, but I think if you go and read what I wrote again it doesn't say what you think it says. I never once said that sex of a person was made up. Rather, in the development of language (which in of itself can be considered a scientific field), humans developed different words in order to describe things hence created language. The creation of language doesn't superseded how we are genetically put together...aka, we are either male or female (99.9999999%). Now if you want to argue why we called it male or female, in addition to woman and man, sure, let's do that, pick any other two words besides man and woman to describe the two genetic geno- and phenotypes of humans in regards to their sex...should we pick pencil for males and erasers for females?? Go ahead three arrows...you can pick whatever two words you want in order to make yourself all warm and fuzzy at night...there there now....

  8. Overruling Chevron doesn’t eliminate the agencies, it doesn’t give Congress the power to decide regulatory cases, it eliminates the deference given to agencies to write, prosecute, and judge their own laws. Congress will still write the laws, the agencies will investigate, and if controversy arises, the difference is that it can be adjudicated by jury trial. That’s the difference, instead of bureaucrats, you get a jury.

  9. In a few recent articles and a recent interview with Coach Pendleton on Flo, the Pac-12 will get an automatic allocation waiver for the next season and most likely a second season as well. The champions will automatically qualify and all others go into the at-large pool. Thankfully OSU is wrestling a very good and tough schedule next season to get in a better position for at-large births. Coach Pendleton mentioned that OSU had the opportunity to go to the Big 12 (although he says Pac 12 by accident) but decided to stay and use the two years to build the conference into 8 -10 teams to establish a West coast conference. He also mentions that there are teams that are interested in joining them. As I (and others) have said for a long time - the Pac-12 should be a conference filled with the Western teams. Conference part starts at 6:40: Another article https://www.kerryeggers.com/stories/beavers-hope-to-defend-pac-12-title-at-gill-but-it-will-be-a-battle

  11. OSU people love Coleman. The fact that it was even a close decision and the division it’s causes within the alumni base tells you all you need to know about how OSU people feel about CS. It’s a terrible deal and he did deserve better. At the same time, I can’t imagine anyone not coming to the same conclusion that Weiberg did when he hired DT. I’d absolutely love for CS to be a part of the program in some way but that’s just not happening at this point. Too many hills for DT to climb foe him to take that risk. He has to assert himself and his new culture. There can’t be two perceived leaders or any kind of clinging to the old.

  14. I disagree. They had a plea bargain for 13 months that got added to until it was 18 months. They were in agreement. Then after the plea deal was over, they wanted to add on to that anther charge and another 22 months. They had already won. There was no need to go further. I'm blaming the DOJ for not abiding by their agreement. The man took his own life and that is bad. But he was brought there by unscrupulous DOJ attorneys that for them enough was not enough. DOJ did not kill him but presented him with the reasoning to do so by not being men/women of their word and trying to pile on. They did not kill him but I think it is clear that he would not have done so if they hadn't changed the terms of the agreement. And to braves, show where he was charged with destruction of property and I'll take back my "moot point". Otherwise it is a moot point to discuss tapping a window. The article made clear that he did not storm the capitol. I notice you don't mention that. You say he was charged with it. Well, he was not charged with destruction of property because he did not destroy property. You are just cherry picking what you want to read? mspart

  21. So help me clarify what the opinion actually was: > President does have immunity for acts within his constitutional powers. >The phone call with the Attorney General was in fact, via Supreme Court opinion, an official act within his constitutional powers. >The remaining charges need to go back through hearings at the lower court to determine if they were official acts protected by constitutional powers. That about sum it up?

  31. Another member of our Unquestioned Ruling Class there to fairly and balanced-ly lay out for us mere simpletons that no Ruler or Vice Ruler would ever engage in these kinds of criminal shenanigans. They're too pure of heart and spirit! Imagine if the leader of this man's coterie had been convicted of, say, 34 felonies, or if this man's party had spent the last two years having said coterie scream that the opposing Leader was in charge of some sort of...Crime Family or something. Thanks to the Men on the Wall like Mike Johnson, there only to shepherd us weak-minded lessers thru this life. Hail the Leaders! Hail the King!

  35. Thankfully the Wise and All-Knowing Chief Justice saw fit to refuse to outline what is unofficial and, in fact, helpfully outline that being able to prove what is unofficial is nigh impossible, so as to make sure that the Omnipotent Leader doesn't have to worry should they break any of our piddling laws that are not meant for higher beings. Truly a wondrous day where the unerring minds of these Originalist Scholars were able to decipher an right of absolute immunity that was so original you can't even find it in the Constitution!

  37. Looks like a 50-50 split between Biden and Trump. Here's one: Both candidates erred on Social Security, with Biden incorrectly saying that Trump “wants to get rid” of the program, and Trump falsely alleging that Biden will “wipe out” Social Security due to the influx of people at the border. Paying illegals SS money that they have never paid into is unsustainable now that receipts are lower than outlays. Here's another: Trump overstated how much food prices have risen due to inflation. Prices are up by about 20%, not double or quadruple. Yeah, this was wrong and I caught that right as he said it. Another: Biden repeated his misleading claim that billionaires pay an average federal tax rate of 8%. That White House calculation factors in earnings on unsold stock as income. So each man told some fibs. And plenty of them. mspart

  40. An official act outside the constitution is not an official act. I think your example is going too far. A President cannot lock up a person without due process. A President cannot suspend elections. Those are extra constitutional and would not be covered by the decision. If this is incorrect, then this is a bad decision. I believe this applies to making law by fiat without input from Congress. mspart

  41. I see this as the SC simply endorsing the principle of qualified immunity enjoyed by every government worker from dog catcher to judges to DAs. Seems like a very pedestrian, benign, and uncontroversial decision if one accepts the QI concept. Why the hysteria ( disguised as snark)?

They also stated that the plebes who are experts in their fields are no longer qualified to regulate government agencies such ans the fda and osha, only people who are elected like those who couldn’t name the 3 branches of the government.
