This was primarily an organic peaceful protest, with less than 1% of attendees charged for breaking the law, and primarily for trespassing. Law enforcement entrapped several radical people in advance of and during J6. A relatively small number of attendees were charged with sedition, etc., type insurrection charges. --- The most common charges have been entering or remaining in a restricted federal building or grounds. How does trespassing, even for an extended period, lead to control of a county? Of an estimated 120,000 attendees, ~1100 have been charged with trespassing. (1%) How many people were arrested inside the capitol with guns? Zero. How many people were arrested outside the capitol with guns? Some. Was there violence? Yes. Did Trump organize an insurrection? He was not charged for it. Has anyone been charged with sedition? A few. Was there an insurrection wanted by some? Yes. Say more about it. The overwhelming percentage were protestors and demonstrators, a small percentage were rioters, and a relatively few were charged with insurrection-type charges (sedition, etc.). Say more about those who planned and wanted a more radical occupation. House of Representative Clay Higgin's research indicates entrapment and conspiracy to set the stage for a compromised election cycle by the government and FBI. FBI staging event for 10 months, operating undercover within online groups across the country and were the first ones to plant the seeds of suggestions of a more radical occupation of the Capitol 200+ undercover FBI assets in the crowd outside and already inside the capital dressed as Trump supporters. Instigated action and acted as tour guides inside the capitol. The capitol layout is too confusing to get around and know where you are going, and it takes a guide to get to the key areas.3 points

Nicely put. The focus here should be on the university. Putting him on the mat again was indefensible and actionable. As WKN said, hopefully the student will graduate from college and have a good future without wrestling. Any school who would put him on a mat after last year's atrocities is fully responsible for its reckless conduct. Any plaudits Nickerson might deserve for Alirez are more than wiped out by this disgrace.3 points

I challenge any conservative from this board to admit the events at the Capitol on Jan 06, 2021 was the violent insurrection attempt that it was. Not a single one of you have the intellectual integrity to do so.2 points

So not everyone there was an insurrectionist. Correct, nobody was charged with insurrection. Not everyone was a seditionist. Correct, 17 of 120K people (0.01%) of the attendees have been charged with seditious conspiracy. and there was only a little bit of death. Correct, only the trespasser Ashli Babbitt was killed on J6. and a little bit of injuries. That is incorrect; there were a couple of hundred injuries, some pretty serious to cops and civilians. What I haven't verified is who struck first. The recently released footage clearly shows cops shooting high-velocity rubber bullets and flash-bang grenades into the crowd. You can see civilians bleeding, hole through the side of one guy's cheek, etc. There are claims that the cops shot first without being provoked. oh and Tucker told us what to think. ??? Rep Clay Higgins, the former cop, does most of the talking in the above video and is investigating the FBI. I am not denying any of the assaults, etc. I do question the framing. (So did Pelosi's daughter). This isn't an insurrection like anything I watched in the movies. Broadly, the lack of guns, gun shootings, bombs, organization, etc. from the civilian side, coupled with mass peaceful civilians... the underreported facts go against the media narrative. This wasn't anything close to what one imagines...2 points

At some point, you need to move on with adult life, go the senior route, and allow age-appropriate college kids to wrestle in the limelight. Just my opinion.2 points

Yianni was just shy of his 19th birthday (like by three weeks or so), so he was also 18 when he won his first.2 points

That would be Pat Milkovich 18 years and 3months( 126 NCAA champion) and Lee Kemp 18 years old and 2 months (150 NCAA 2nd place). Those were the good old days.2 points

Yup. Peterson should haven’t wrestled today after getting banged up last night. Started strong but had nothing left after 2 minutes. He looked awful in the 2nd and 3rd. He literally was barely even moving.2 points

That practice has tended to fall out of favor in the recent years. Mainly due to the growing divide between athletics comms people who are already understaffed and overworked and the demanding nature of college coaches who feel those people work FOR them2 points

Gus Miller, who Nash beat in the state finals his senior season, was just awarded the Rimington Trophy for the FCS division as the top center at that level. He, along with his fellow Jackrabbits will be playing for a national championship today.2 points

Was In Gill for set up and Mat side. Had many conversations with the long time PSU radio guy, sports info guy, etc. Watched PSU interact with people. I also sat directly behind the Penn State section at the ncaa. As a big OSU beaver fan, and I speak for most, we appreciated Penn State flying across the country for one match that was very close to selling out at 8,540. It’s a huge deal for Oregon State to host PSU. The PSU program is a class act. Hate them if you will, but they try to schedule 1-2 duals a year for the benefit of another program. Others might call it a weak schedule, I call it the good of wrestling. Besides they will decimate everyone so I’m not sure what a tough schedule would be since they already wrestle in the B10. Thanks to PSU for coming out West.2 points

The #11 Hokies are coming off a tough loss to #3 Missouri; the matches were split 5/5, but bonus points went in favor of the Tigers to give them the dual win. It was highlighted by wins from #9 Cooper Flynn over #2 Noah Surtin and #8 Bryce Andonian over #5 Brock Mauller in a thrilling back and forth match. The Hokies will look to rebound in another tough road test, facing #8 Cornell in Ithaca. The Big Red traveled to Blacksburg last year for a dual at the Moss Arts Center that was highlighted by a huge win from Sam Latona over Vito Arujau; unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like we will see that rematch today. There are some very fun matchups on deck for the day, though, including a rematch of CKLV between #8 Bryce Andonian and #15 Meyer Shapiro. This dual has the potential for fireworks, and they always pack a great crowd into the Friedman Wrestling Center. I like the way the dual lines up for the Hokies, but they are going to have to take care of business in front of a hostile Ivy League crowd to take the win back home. Potential Lineups: #11 Virginia Tech v #8 Cornell 125: #9 Cooper Flynn v #14 Brett Ungar 133: #12 Sam Latona v Ethan Qureshi 141: #18 Tom Crook v #17 Vince Corella 149: #2 Caleb Henson v #24 Ethan Fernandez 157: #8 Bryce Andonian v #15 Meyer Shapiro 165: #23 Connor Brady v #3 Julian Ramirez 174: #2 Mekhi Lewis vs Benny Baker 184: #18 Cody Howard OR Sam Fisher v #8 Chris Foca 197: #26 Andy Smith OR Sonny Sasso v #7 Jacob Cardenas 285: #20 Hunter Catka OR Jimmy Mullen v #19 Lewis Fernandes1 point

I understand your point and don’t disagree necessarily. The issue lies in this There are multiple, not single “ehhh”/iffy cases, multiple cases where many people know something is up, or that a person shouldn’t be coaching/be around wresting. But that person has “powerful friends” or litigation could happen and it prevents the right things from being done. Or no one wants to believe.. and all that at least delays the right thing until it it becomes a ticking time bomb thet is going to eventually blow up, but everyone continues like it’s business as usual until it all crashes. Then afterwards, pretty everyone is like “yeah we heard/knew”. Do I have a point.. eh just that things/stories like this don’t come from nowhere and people are starting to get sick of them being ignored. Final point, both Willie/Rokfin and and Saylor/Flo are agreeing on something. That says a lot by itself1 point

JB has been around forever and does good work. He's not going anywhere anytime soon. You won't get anywhere with that bullshit here. Also you've no clue what goes on in the wrestling world if you think FLO tells JB what to do. Everyone in the wrestling world agrees on 1 thing we don't want pedophiles around.1 point
