Well, that’s amazing

So I wonder if Bo would be better off at 149. I don’t know how much weight he’s cutting, and I wonder if it was the cause of the apparent fade at the end of the match. But it could have been all about the energy spent getting the early takedowns, as well as Stanich figuring some things out.

When Snyder won in 25, I thought that he should mount up and ride off into the sunset. But he shows up in 26, and wins the toughest bracket. So what’s does this have to do with Spencer? Well yeah you could make a case for Spencer with his bad knees and whatever else is going on to call it a career, but who knows maybe he decides to go again and win in 27. And then it’s just a short hop skip and a jump to 28. But Spencer will have to get his knee fixed and he’ll have to see if the fire is still burning brightly enough to put himself through the next couple of years. So it might be a while before we know anything.

Bruce Baumgartner, John Smith, Kyle Snyder. But number 4, that’s tough, many would say Jordan Burroughs, and I can’t really argue against it. However you can make an argument for Kyle Dake, David Taylor or Dan Gable to be the fourth guy on that mountain. Although Gable doesn’t have the same amount of hardware as the others, he is basically the birth of modern day Wrestling. We also have to remember that back in Gable’s day he wasn’t paid like today’s athletes, and If you read Gable’s book he trained in a barn wrestling the town folk.

So, could the younger Bassett be a factor at 57, in 2028?

Why should he? He’s probably a sure lock for his spot for as long as he wants it. Where as if he tries out for Team USA he’s going to have to contend with a great big group of phenoms.

The match was unfortunately called badly, IMO, and Trent was robbed. Hopefully though Trent will use this as motivation to come back and win next year.

What an amazing run by team USA in MFS. Huge performance. Congrats to everyone who made this possible.

Congrats Spencer, I saw the post finals interview and that once again you were wrestling injured. And if you do call it a career it was a pleasure watching you.

I don’t know, but when the cameras showed the facial expression of Coach Gatsalov, (the Russian Coach), he didn’t look very happy.

Huge props and congrats to Bo, he climbed the mountain. I hope that he has a great season ahead.

Well, SnyderMan just won a completely loaded bracket, and he did it by notching a win against his nemesis and one of the best to ever do it. So does this rank SnyderMan as the greatest American wrestler?

So far Team USA has had a pretty incredible run, MFS has already locked up 9 medals, and James Green is still in the hunt for the tenth. What’s crazy is that before this started I was pretty uncertain about how we would do.

Not a bad night, we got Dake in the finals, and with Zain, Corey and Wyatt all in the hunt for Bronze.

Bo Bassett and SnyderMan, Wow, Fantastic! SnyderMan wins the bracket of insanity, and Bo, does something that we haven’t done in like forever at 65 Kg. Huge wins!
