Wrestling is one of the sports LEAST in need of replay. For important matches there are always two refs on the mat (1-1 player to official ratio!). The playing field is small so officials usually have a very good view. Stopping action takes away from the “no time outs” toughness of wrestling. That, and we’ve seen that calls are blown even when reviewing the tape! abolish replay!

why the constant icing the wrestlers for TV / commercial breaks? is it important that the weights all wrestler at the same time for each bracket? it's just quarters. keep the action going!

I watched this one on BTN. Interesting bout. Purdue was pretty much running the entire time. Nearly was stalled-out (4 of Byrd's 5 points came from stalling calls). The champ had a grin on his face while getting his hand raised. I wonder if he thought winning that way was kind of funny. I'm glad he seems to be having a good time during this victory lap season. Being comfortable in close matches is a not a bad thing. Looking forward to the clashes with these up-and-comers.
