We don’t know how much money Virginia Tech has left over after nabbing Bo and Miller and I’ve heard it was a combination of so so academics and the pending charges and Cornell didn’t want the headache so who knows if Michigan or Vtech want to deal with that drama either

Iowa?  Iowa State?  Oklahoma State?

Iowa has Deluca

I don’t think David Taylor is gonna bring in Knox with all the baggage he’s trying to change the culture

I think Iowa state makes sense but Knox might not want to go half way across the country

Even without the baggage.. Spratley will be back next year, Zinkin is coming next season, and Villasenor the season following that. It hardly seems like a weight to be spending on.

It seems like most often when high profile athletes spend some time with a premier program (which Cornell is) and things don't work out, it seems to be more of an athlete issue than a program issue, and the athlete tends to go to somewhere way they may be more catered to. Not that it happens too often.

Rutgers could have 4 years of Nini (pending medical), Brandt harer, Knox. They seem to do pretty well in the portal in terms of getting good guys, how they compete after getting them leaves something to be desired.

That answers my question about being enrolled. Now, wonder where he ends up. I forget who was in his top 3.

1st choice-school offering the most NIL. 2nd choice-school offering the 3nd most NIL.  3rd choice-well you get the theme.  Welcome to the wild west.  Is this why Rocky Elam is at Iowa State?  I still don't know that story yet.  I have my own ideas.

Rutgers feels like the easy answer. What is the Knox path? Rutgers feels below him with the options at VT or Michigan. There is more to the story. Why not feel out the NIL from other teams before Rutgers? He is a stud and could fill some 125 holes for a lot of teams. I wish him well.

I am sure NIL has ALREADY been discussed; let's not pretend there are rules here. Coaches are contacting kids during Nationals if they believe they are at a "lesser" school.

There is an interview with Rocky after he transferred.  Can’t remember who with, might have been Flo, not sure.  Anyway he said it will be nice graduating with that amount of money in his bank account.  Also, said he wanted to come back after for a position with the Tigers.  Still heart broke about that one.

McCrone, Kilkeary and Fenton...

Yeah, not much room for Knox, IMO. BUT another Cornell kid on a tear who is from Ohio would fit in VERY nicely at 149 next season if the Bucks were ever able to pry him away. Worked with Fishback.

People keep saying "Iowa has Deluca", as if he's a known commodity. Correct me if I'm wrong but who else was in that recruiting class? I think we've heard the name a lot partly because there were no other names to say.

V-tech I would assume means he takes a RS next year if Eddie opts to come back. I think that would make him a 22 year old freshman. He is an unbelievably talented wrestler, and has looked good this year but the off the mat stuff has really out weighed what he has done on the mat this last year. That said I think Bo + Melvin + Knox on a team like V-tech would do enormous things for the sport itself from an overall viewership perspective.

125: Knox
133: Campbell
141: Seidel
149: Bassett
157: Miller
165: Burton

I'm interested....

I was originally inclined to say that's the best starting 6 in wrestling but Okst and PSU are going to be incredible as well.

I would think Michigan and VT have to be in play. Feels like there is more here. The court issues may be an issue. On the other side, maybe Knox saw a fit at VT with Bassett, Miller, Seidel, Noah Burton and Sasso to think it was a better fit. No skin in the game…but VT would be my guess.

Praying for my wolverines 🙏 〽️
