Is that why he released Jordan Williams? Please fill me in on one anecdote of DT sacrificing character for performance.

reminding you of your original grievance. do you need me to explain it to you like you are stupid?

taylor is in it to win it and will take anyone who doesn't commit a crime while on his team. Period.

Is anyone in the know aware if Ferrera can make 125?

I am not in the know, but I doubt it.  Greg Diakomihalis is back in time for the Southern Scuffle (reportedly) and will be the 125 for the rest of the year.

I'd like to know if greyshirt Isaiah Cortez can make 125 next year.  His only loss this year is a 4-1 SV to Davino at the Clarion Open.  Davino beat Ferrera that day 10-4.

A hypothetical you have no evidence to backup but sure. Meanwhile Cael keeps guys who commit crimes against teammates ... allegedly

Knox didn't commit the crime while he was a college athlete. My point is quite obvious if you aren't a moron. His criminal record wouldn't stop Taylor from recruiting him which was my point. Please try to keep up you drooler.

No, but he also didn’t really express any regret about it.  If I was a coach that would turn me off to him.  But of course I’m not a coach so what do I know

I do not think cortez has been that light since cadet trials 2022 so I would be skeptical. I think Ferrera could AA if heatlhy at 125 next year he has really impressed me this year but I do not see him in the lineup next year with the cortez bros coming in.

Carter has had 0 charges pressed against him, 0 guilt from kangaroo court university investigations, and nothing he was alleged of doing was corroborated by a single other teammate. I got my account banned for 3 months this summer defending him while the mob of internet psychos wanted to lynch him. one of us was right, the other was reactive and absurd.

I'm sure you got your account banned because you seem to pop off against anyone that doesn't agree with you.  Maybe tone it down a little instead of always being at a 9/10 on the hostility meter.

He gave public interviews where he acted like him and his family were the victims when the video clearly shows Anthony running up in the stands the opposite direction of his father and attacking a 16 yr kid that wasn’t fighting but had been bantering him and SJV throughout the day. lol he said this stuff of national TV

Wake up to what? The kid and his dad are “tough guys”. That’s how they carry themselves and act every single day. Knox punched a kid in the face in the hallway at escape the rock or some other out of state tournament 2 years ago, his dad has caused issues multiple times. This is public behavior the Knox have shown over years .I could care less about his private conversations or what his lawyer says. When someone shows you who they are repeatedly you should believe them.

im still going to root for Knox as a wrestler bc i always root for NJ guys but I am not going to make excuses for someone just because I’m a fan and I said right after this fight that he wasn’t a fit at Cornell and that these charges might keep him out and I was chased with pitchforks by the people of this forum.

I’m not a lawyer either but I don’t think a lawyer would suggest making public statements about it at all.

Anyone can make up 100 things they have no idea are true to defend  him.

ill try one or two.

how do you know he didn’t join a nunnery in private and denounce all his sins and dedicate his life to god?    You don’t know that.

you also don’t have any idea if he joined a biker gang that worship beelzebub and has dedicated his life to killing people.

now do you.  You’ve no idea if he has done either.

I heard he did both and he wants to move to South Africa and play cricket.   So we may not see him wrestle anywhere

I also had a private conversation with him in which we spoke glowingly about number of wickets South Africa had versus the USA in the most recent cricket world cup as they tried to recruit him to move.

False. There was another teammate quoted in the article. How many teammates came out and defended Carter by the way? Did any teammates say the accusations are false? Did Cael say they're false?

I think the university giving him athlete of the year answers your question. And the “teammate” quoted was a 4th string walk on who retired from the team after article  and is bff with beaus wife.

Is this wrestlingrash's burner? What are you talking about? It doesn't answer anything about the assault claims actually. And the other teammate was kept anonymous. But hey don't let facts get in the way of your narrative

I think he’s referring to Erik Gibson who did publicly support Beau.  I’m not sure if he’s mixing that up with the article or assuming that he was the anonymous teammate named in the article.

All of a sudden, He didn't accepted to Cornell?

I am just guessing like probably everyone else here, the hearings that occurred a week or so ago indicated that certain videos would be used as evidence at trial and so the legal strategy now is maybe to take a plea deal which would mean Cornell cannot take him. His court date is in early January.

Another possibility is that they needed to get the charges dropped before some specific date for admissions and it didn't happen, so he cannot be admitted to Cornell with pending charges for a violent crime.

Is anyone not guessing and actually knows a lot facts for this situation?

I’m not assuming anything the person quoted in the garbage article was Erik Gibson

According to.... ?? You're just making stuff up.

And there was a third teammate mentioned in the article corroborating their statements. Do you want to pretend to know their identity as well.

If it was complete nonsense the school would have pulled this down from the internet no?   They even edited (post publication) to correct an alias.

NCAA Wrestling Day One, Starocci walks off

At 184 pounds, Penn State's Carter Starocci walks off the mat after his first round bout at the NCAA D1 Wrestling Championships in the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, March 20, 2025 in University Park, Pa.

Editor’s Note: Three of the names in this story have been changed to protect the identity of the individuals involved. The Daily Collegian has verified through fact-checking that these individuals exist.

It has come to our attention that the alias we chose inadvertently reflected the name of a former wrestler not involved in this story. The alias has been updated to avoid any misidentification. The Daily Collegian apologizes for this oversight.

Over the past few weeks, speculation surrounding former Nittany Lion Carter Starocci has surged among Penn State wrestling fans and on social media. The controversy stemmed from the posts of his former teammate Beau Bartlett and his wife, Sydney Bartlett, alleging the five-time national champion was the subject of a Penn State police investigation.

The Daily Collegian obtained texts confirming the Penn State University Police and Public Safety (UPPS) was investigating an incident regarding a break-in and theft of Bartlett’s locker in the Lorenzo Wrestling Center (LWC) last December, which Bartlett believes was an act of retaliation by Starocci.

In late 2024, the Bartletts allege they were made aware of a sexual assault allegation against Starocci. Sydney said this wasn’t the first she had heard of it.

Jane, a woman who requested anonymity due to concerns about unwanted attention, told the Collegian Starocci first began pursuing her via Instagram direct messages in 2023 while she was 17 and Starocci was 22. She said Starocci invited her to his home and the LWC sauna multiple times, knowing her age.

“I am doing this in an attempt to stop my assailant from attacking more young girls, ” she said.

After arriving for her freshman year at Penn State, she accepted Starocci’s invites to the LWC gym, where he met her at night alone or with a training partner present. She said Starocci allowed her into the wrestling team’s locker room and sauna on multiple occasions.

“He had groomed me to feel comfortable with him,” Jane said. “The whole experience feels extremely manipulating.”

In the fall semester, she visited Starocci’s home after he invited her to watch a movie, where she alleges Starocci raped her twice. She said the last time she saw him after that night was when she asked him to purchase her an emergency contraceptive pill the next morning.
