If nothing else, it will 100% boost ratings for every Rutgers dual where he is facing a solid guy. I'm personally not tuning into many Rutgers duals, but he will make me want to watch just for 125.

Yep exactly.  If it's on, I'm watching.  Plus, spreading points around at NCAAs might dilute to make the team results more exciting.  Would've been fun if joined VT, but will be cool to see another premier talent at another school too.

Great freaking statement.  As if parity in a sport is a bad thing?

Why would it be bad for the sport ? So bc Rutgers isn’t going to knock off penn state Knox shouldn’t go there? 6 years ago Rutgers had 2 ncca champs and finished top 10 at ncaas , in years since they’ve been a solid dual squad nd the main thing they’d been missing is the big point scorer in the lineup

That's why I asked. I'm glad to see him going to Rutgers over a top 3-5 team.

I agree. I initially hated it because I am generally pessimistic about the Rutgers program, but I am optimistic that he can push them to a new level. Same reason I like Bo Bassett to VT

Love that Rutgers has this PA hammer on his way to Jersey Mikes Arena also. A Great atmosphere already is about to get better!

Annd...we're done.

In a plea bargain deal with the prosecution, the charges against Knox Jr. were reduced to disorderly conduct.

Judge Brian Herman imposed one year probation on Knox Jr., who did not address the court beyond yes or no answers.

If Knox Jr. abides by all conditions of the the probationary period, charges will be dismissed. If he does not, he will face the original charges, Herman said.

The judge, it so happens, likely was a wrestler in a former life.

I ask both of you to have better control of your emotions, your behavior and your actions moving forward."

Couldn’t they have done this a long time ago?

Legal maneuvering over video evidence had to be done before.  Knox's attorney wasn't going to do any plea bargaining until discovery was complete (or at least sufficient).  That's how it works.

The kid I can deal with the slap on the wrist and the riot act to don’t do it again, it’s his first brush with the law, to my knowledge. We’ll see if he can keep his nose clean going forward.

Which brings me from the apple to the tree…

What about Knox Sr, it isn’t his first brush with the law, not his second either, or third…and the video I saw it was a pretty blatant event. Is he getting the slap on the wrist too?? NJ is just gonna NJ I guess…

They both reached a plea bargain, reducing Knox Jr.’s charges to disorderly conduct, per NJ.com. Knox Sr.’s charges were downgraded to disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

Also, the judge set a one-year probation on Knox Jr. If he abides by the probation, charges will be dismissed.

Knox Sr., a former MMA fighter who told the court, "It was a truly, truly unfortunate incident," must pay a fine of $1,000.
