I am rooting for Kanon Webster over everyone the rest of his career, in GG's honor. The guy was such a great guy. I am happy I was able to meet him at B1Gs two years ago.5 points

3 Qualifiers for CSB. Kudos for them. Can’t remember the last time they had 3. Always rooting for the smaller Programs during this era of Transfer Portals/NIL !4 points

At the end of the day Ferrari never gets taken down or ridden. He'd lose to AJ from a few years ago and isn't as sharp, but that AJ isn't in the bracket. If he doesn't get a TD, that stall ride gets him the minute of riding time. His doubles allow him to score quickly and avoid scrambling. He's the favorite in my book. The best bet is someone like Barr wearing him down and taking neutral to not screwing around wasting so much time on mat wrestling. People need to stop going under him in 0TD matches. Can he lose? Absolutely, but in any individual match he's the favorite in my eyes. His playbook is hard to beat3 points

Your take reminded me of when Brian Smith first took over at Mizzou. They had Scott Barker on the team, who was a national finalist, but the dude was toxic (not AJ toxic, but still). Smith booted him from the team. A national finalist. i gained a ton of respect for Smith with that. Would rather have a good culture that builds good men than allow toxicity into the program he’s trying to build, even if it meant losing team points. Not to say other coaches aren’t trying to do the same with allowing AJ into their program, but makes you wonder how important winning is.3 points

Here is the funny thing about pinfalls. They are very unpredictable. Last year, like this year, PSU were not big pinfellers in the regular season, but they still put up 6 at the tournament. The 2018 team that had six of their all-time pinfall leaders (Nolf #1, Nickal #2, Retherford #3, Hall #7, Rasheed #16, and Joseph #22) only recorded 4 pinfalls in the tournament. But then the same group got 9 the next year with 4 of them coming from guys not in the top 25 all-time for PSU.2 points

They will not. MAC, Pac-12, and SoCon do it, the other five conferences do not.2 points

Hate him or love him, AJ is a very positionally sound wrestler with a great gas tank. For all the talk of people wearing him down, I cannot think of any match where his gas tank has been an issue.2 points

Such a bummer he didn't make nationals. He is phenomenal for the sport. I thought this was his year to put it all together the way he was top ranked all season.2 points

Let's talk about Caden Henschel not making it to Nationals this year. He was the top ranked kid at his weight almost all season long, and his coach has said that "[Henschel] is a great kid who does everything right." None of that means he belongs at Nationals this season, but it is a bummer to see his career end this way. I, for one, have enjoyed watching him compete, and I enjoy some of his content. He is a great for the sport, and it would have been great to see him make a run at a title. That and I am a fan of Nick Becker and what he does at UW-Parkside.2 points

I believe it is often concurrent with Distended (aka bloated) Ego, associated with abuse of mirrors, fast cars, and frequent use of "I", "me" and "my". Questions of causation and correlation are still debated in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.2 points

One Olympic gold and a silver medal for Sanderson. That's barely top 10 in the USA. Who would rank him higher than Snyder, Bruce, Kemp, Gable, etc. Tom Brands is more accomplished for God's sake.2 points

I had Buchanan over AJ, as well as Cardenas and Barr. Now I have AJ over all three. None of them are as fast or strong enough, unfortunately (for me rooting for Barr).1 point

Williams has been both good and inconsistent. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that DT had a role in him going to LR. He couldn’t stay at OSU, but he landed at a good school with a good coach, who has connections to OSU.1 point

There were a LOT of kids who were having admissions revoked for stupid old social media posts. I don't want to get off topic here, but...that is SUPPOSED to be what College is for. To grow, think, become open minded. A violent conviction is something different.1 point

True seconds entirely favoe the 3rd place guy trying to wrestle up, right? Since the 2nd placers would have wrestled considerably more recent as well ss the downer of coming off a losd VS a win... Not digging that.1 point

We have a problem with loserthink and midwit behavior. Moderately smart people overcomplicate simple truths and nitpick. If I say "Asians are good at math," the midwit says... "Well, it depends on what you mean by 'Asians?' Are we talking East Asians, South Asians, or Southeast Asians? Do you mean arithmetic, calculus, or theoretical math?" The midwit overthinks and fixates on semantics... "Actually, not all Asians are good at math. My friend from South Korea failed algebra..." When we should focus on whether the larger pattern is true and why that is. AND this is what's happening in this conversation... "THE greatest vs ONE OF the greatest vs Great." I do this too... calling it to those doing it here.1 point

Oh, I definitely know the Scott Barker story. Kid was a stud, but certainly had some self control issues. Kid was street fighter tough but not a team player.1 point

You are smarter than this. I showed how to admit when one is wrong just today in a post to Fishbane. But you... My goodness. We're telling you that Biden's Great Presidency was pushed as a narrative on 'us.' Because that was what we 'felt' when reading newlines and listening to media. Yea there were criticisms... You can't be more stubbornly wrong to dismiss what we're saying here and backing up with data. You are acting like a .... democrat. Not the moderate kind.1 point

I don't think he's capable of intentionally doing that. I think what he says is what crosses his brain at that exact moment. There isnt any planning or foresight in what comes out of his mouth.1 point

Transferring? As a former coach, I can only say I'd avoid this kid like the plague. Talk about someone that would compromise your program? Me, me, me, I, I, I. Kinda sounds like someone else constantly in the news these days.1 point
