The Panther train literally built their own practice facility at an off-campus warehouse last season. Yesterday they whooped #4 Nebraska. Case closed.5 points

Are all these "injuries" due to the grind of their pre-conference schedule or dodgeball related?2 points

I think this is wrong. We don't need more good guys, we need more good stories, and we aren't getting any because everyone has figured out that you shouldn't put anything on the line before march. My god we got Gable Steveson BACK and no one cares.2 points

I'm feeling the same way. The season hasn't been bad thus far, but I'm just less excited about it. My interest in college sports in general has been fading a bit. It feels like the transfer portal, NIL, pay to play settlement, realignment, etc. have taken a lot out of the parity and tradition that used to make D1 sports fun.2 points

Speaking of fiction, you're living in a world where a bronze medal is closer to gold than a silver one.2 points

This may trigger some people, but I'd be in favor of lowering 285 if the problem is that the gap from 197 to 285 is too big. Are you telling me if he needed to, Cohlton Schultz couldn't lose 20 pounds? It might be harder to dig an underhook and push guys OB, but wouldn't that actually be for the good of the weight to increase the overall athleticism while lowering the weight disparity? I can't recall every seeing a 285 heavy that couldn't follow a diet plan to get to 265 if that was the weight. They don't because they simply don't have to.1 point

If he weighed 184 at Soldier Salute then it takes 26 days. Which would get him there for the OSU dual. Assuming he doesn't weigh in at 184 again.1 point

First step is making the lineup. Alex Facundo was #2 on Flo's 2021 Big Board and has yet to AA. Hamiti and Caliendo were both ranked lower coming out of high school. All three wrestled 165 at NCAAs in 2023, and only the guy who went to Penn State failed to place, and then hasn't been able to make the starting lineup since. So maybe take the guy from PSU 9 out of 10 times? I don't see how Sealey makes the lineup next year. His best chance is if he can make 57 and beat Kasak, which is quite a feat, and it's not going to get any easier the following year.1 point

JonBenet Ramsey. I remember being in elementary school when that happened. The entire thing seemed wild to me. Who would dress their daughter up like that? Who would enter a kindergartner in a beauty pageant? Why do beauty pageants for 6 year old children exist? I’m not suggesting the parents did anything bad. But the entire concept grosses me out the older I get. And, I would never think of making my kids do anything like that (and that’s the thing: no 6 year old wakes up and says, “Yes, mama/daddy, please enter me in a contest where I dress up like … whatever that is … and I am evaluated on my appearance by grown ass adults.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

This is where you lost me. Why any time someone is against something, people immediately jump to the race card? It is overplayed and meaningless at this point.1 point

Which one is it TPT. Not many do it or many have been caught? Registering to vote is different than voting at the polling place. If we need ID for Social Security, ID to enter a federal building, ID to fly, ID to drive, ID to get insurance, ID to hunt, ID to get benefits such as SNAP, Medicare, Pell grants, etc, then requiring ID to vote should not be such a huge deal. In fact, ID is required to have a bank account, a phone, a energy bill, a loan, etc. With perhaps a few exceptions noted regarding Indian Nation, which don't hold water really, but ok, any citizen of the USA should have to present an ID to vote. mspart1 point
