Also why would anyone expect a kid to go to Fargo who was training to go to U20 Worlds? Seriously?4 points

Really excited for this. Comes out in December. Seems like it challenges Foxcatcher for the biggest names in a wrestling movie. Robles is played by Jharell Jerome. He’s been in a lot of stuff, my favorite being Mr. Mercedes. J. Lo plays his mom, Bobby Canavale (who was also in Win/Win) plays his stepdad, Michael Pena his high school coach, and Don Cheadle plays then-ASU coach Shawn Charles.3 points

Greetings All, I figured doing a 'tiers' list for the current entries for WTT this coming weekend would be appropriate and fun. Keep in mind a few of the following: - These are MY tiers. I welcome you to challenge them, however I also challenge you to create your own. I would love to see that. I can also be swayed, if you make a compelling and logical argument. Calling me a big stupidhead might work as well. - These are as of approximately midday of 9/10/24. - As most of you know/remember, my tiers are that you can win or lose to someone in your tier or a tier directly adjacent. It would not be expected of you to defeat someone more than one tier above you or lose to someone more than one tier below you, unless injury, Pinfellery, or something along unexpected takes place. NO TIER simply means I either don't know enough about them or don't expect them to defeat anyone aside for NO TIER gents - all due respects. - Have fun! This one is non-negotiable. 61 KG Tier 1 Daton Fix, Oklahoma - COWBOY RTC/TMWC *Vitali Arujau, New York - SPARTAN COMBAT RTC/TMWC Tier 2 Seth Gross, Minnesota - Wisconsin Regional Training Center **Nahshon Garrett, Pennsylvania - LVWC/TMWC Austin DeSanto, Pennsylvania - HWC/TMWC Tier 3 Jax Forrest, Pennsylvania - Young Guns Nasir Bailey, Illinois - Arkansas Regional Training Center Marcus Blaze, Ohio - Perrysburg Wrestling Club Tier 4 Liam Cronin, Nebraska - Nebraska Wrestling Training Center Tier 5 Nico Provo, Connecticut - Connecticut Michael Tortorice, Illinois - Team Tortorice Wrestling Club NO TIER Devan Turner, Indiana - NYAC/Indiana RTC Kyle Burwick, North Dakota - Bison Wrestling Club *Arujau is sitting out the the Best of Three Finals **Garrett could allow anybody to put 15 points on him. 70 KG Tier 1 Jordan Oliver, North Carolina - NYAC James Green, Nebraska - Nebraska Wrestling Training Center Tier 2 Alec Pantaleo, Michigan - CKWC/TMWC Tier 3 Andrew Alirez, Colorado - NCWC/TMWC *Bryce Andonian, Ohio - SERTC/TMWC Tier 4 Yahya Thomas, Illinois - NJRTC/TMWC Kaleb Larkin, Arizona - Atreus Wrestling Club Evan Henderson, Pennsylvania - LVWC/TMWC Jarrett Jacques, Missouri - Tiger Style Wrestling Club Daniel Cardenas, Colorado - Bear Cave Wrestling Club PJ Duke, New York - KD Training Center **Will Lewan, Illinois - Cliff Keen Wrestling Club Tier 5 Ian Parker, Virginia - Cavalier Wrestling Club Ryan Jack, North Carolina - WOLFPACK WC/TMWC Jackson Arrington , Pennsylvania - WOLFPACK WC/TMWC Paniro Johnson, Pennsylvania - Cyclone Regional Training Center C-RTC Jakob Bergeland, Minnesota - Gopher Wrestling Club Tier 6 Jaden Abas, California - California Regional Training Center (CA RTC) Wyatt Sheets, Oklahoma - COWBOY RTC/TMWC NO TIER Vince Bouzakis, Pennsylvania - Wyoming Seminary Dayne Morton, Minnesota - West Coast Regional Training Center Isaiah Delgado, Utah - Brunson UVRTC *Andonian could pin anybody or get pinned by anybody **Lewan could defeat anybody 1-1 or lose to anybody 1-1 79 KG Tier 1 Jordan Burroughs, Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania RTC Tier 2 Alex Dieringer, Oklahoma - CKWC/TMWC Chance Marsteller, Pennsylvania - NJRTC/TMWC Tier 3 David Carr, Iowa - Cyclone RTC/TMWC Keegan O'Toole, Missouri - Tiger Style WC/ TMWC Tier 4 Evan Wick, California - SoCal RTC/TMWC Tier 5 *EMPTY Tier 6 Clay Lautt, North Carolina - Tar Heel Wrsetling Club Kennedy Monday, North Carolina - NJRTC/TMWC Joey Lavallee, Pennsylvania - Brunson UVRTC/TMWC **Hunter Garvin, Iowa - Iowa Joey Bianchi, Wisconsin - Arkansas Regional Training Center Tier 7 Matthew Bianchi, Wisconsin - Arkansas Regional Training Center Noah Mulvaney, Wisconsin - Buffalo Valley Regional Training Center Demetrius Romero, Idaho - Brunson UVRTC NO TIER Sam Beckett, Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania Andrew Dickson, North Carolina - George Mason University Justin Grant, Florida - McDoubles Wrestling *I know there is an EMPTY one there. Biden got 81 million ballots (maybe, unless we remove the double tallied ballots). He got no where near 81 million individual American citizens who cast a vote for him. There is MASSIVE evidence that this happened all over the country. No need to be an election denier to accept this fact. Let's see how much MORE popular than Biden and Obama the Kam-eleon is. What is her over/under for ballot count. I think the Dems will need to generate 87 million ballots marked for Kam to overcome Trump's actual votes. Shall we start a betting pool on this?3 points

I tend to agree with you more often than not. But here, I see things differently. This is a driver who has broken at least two laws and was now being pulled over for criminal behavior. It's not like he didn't do anything wrong - he had. And he all but admitted it. To paint the picture, imagine the driver of the car being white and imagine him have two loaded handguns - one under each leg. Now watch it again. That is the potential reality that cops have to deal with. It is why they need to control the situation. It isn't necessarily a racist thing as much as it is a situational one. "Controlling the situation" can and does get ugly. But it keeps cops coming home in their cars instead of in boxes. Any notion that citizens who are committing crimes are somehow on equal footing as police officers is wrongheaded.2 points

But do you truest him to do what he says he will do over flip floppin' Kamala? That is the question. By extrapolation, I would say you trust Kamala will propose to do the right thing almost always and then follow-up by actually doing the right thing. But how do you know what "her" right thing is? She has caved on all of her policies to look much more moderate than she really is. Will she govern that way or will she revert to the leftist that she really is? Again, that is the question. mspart2 points

this is a c&p with edits 61 KG Tier 1 Vitali Arujau, New York - SPARTAN COMBAT RTC/TMWC Tier 2 Daton Fix, Oklahoma - COWBOY RTC/TMWC Nahshon Garrett, Pennsylvania - LVWC/TMWC Tier 3 Seth Gross, Minnesota - Wisconsin Regional Training Center Austin DeSanto, Pennsylvania - HWC/TMWC Marcus Blaze, Ohio - Perrysburg Wrestling Club Jax Forrest, Pennsylvania - Young Guns Tier 4 Nasir Bailey, Illinois - Arkansas Regional Training Center Tier 5 Liam Cronin, Nebraska - Nebraska Wrestling Training Center Tier 6 Nico Provo, Connecticut - Connecticut Michael Tortorice, Illinois - Team Tortorice Wrestling Club NO TIER Devan Turner, Indiana - NYAC/Indiana RTC Kyle Burwick, North Dakota - Bison Wrestling Club -if any of the tier 3 guys beat one of the tier 2 guys I would not be shocked, Garret vs fix was not all that close last year. I think Blaze has an oustide shot of making the finals but I dont think anyone is touching vito. 70 KG Tier 1 Jordan Oliver, North Carolina - NYAC James Green, Nebraska - Nebraska Wrestling Training Center Alec Pantaleo, Michigan - CKWC/TMWC Tier 2 Andrew Alirez, Colorado - NCWC/TMWC Bryce Andonian, Ohio - SERTC/TMWC Kaleb Larkin, Arizona - Atreus Wrestling Club Jarrett Jacques, Missouri - Tiger Style Wrestling Club Tier 3 Yahya Thomas, Illinois - NJRTC/TMWC Evan Henderson, Pennsylvania - LVWC/TMWC Daniel Cardenas, Colorado - Bear Cave Wrestling Club PJ Duke, New York - KD Training Center Paniro Johnson, Pennsylvania - Cyclone Regional Training Center C-RTC Vince Bouzakis, Pennsylvania - Wyoming Seminary Tier 4 Ian Parker, Virginia - Cavalier Wrestling Club Ryan Jack, North Carolina - WOLFPACK WC/TMWC Jackson Arrington , Pennsylvania - WOLFPACK WC/TMWC Jakob Bergeland, Minnesota - Gopher Wrestling Club Tier 5 Jaden Abas, California - California Regional Training Center (CA RTC) Wyatt Sheets, Oklahoma - COWBOY RTC/TMWC NO TIER Dayne Morton, Minnesota - West Coast Regional Training Center Isaiah Delgado, Utah - Brunson UVRTC Jacques beat monday at OTT and made the semis and I think he is better suited for 70kg he could make a deep run. Bouzakis is a similar case that I think he is better suited for 70kg than 74 and gave Lockett some tough matches. 79 KG Tier 1 Jordan Burroughs, Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania RTC Chance Marsteller, Pennsylvania - NJRTC/TMWC Keegan O'Toole, Missouri - Tiger Style WC/ TMWC Tier 2 Alex Dieringer, Oklahoma - CKWC/TMWC Tier 3 David Carr, Iowa - Cyclone RTC/TMWC Tier 4 Evan Wick, California - SoCal RTC/TMWC Tier 5 *EMPTY Tier 6 Clay Lautt, North Carolina - Tar Heel Wrsetling Club Kennedy Monday, North Carolina - NJRTC/TMWC Joey Lavallee, Pennsylvania - Brunson UVRTC/TMWC **Hunter Garvin, Iowa - Iowa Joey Bianchi, Wisconsin - Arkansas Regional Training Center Tier 7 Matthew Bianchi, Wisconsin - Arkansas Regional Training Center Noah Mulvaney, Wisconsin - Buffalo Valley Regional Training Center Demetrius Romero, Idaho - Brunson UVRTC NO TIER Sam Beckett, Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania Andrew Dickson, North Carolina - George Mason University Justin Grant, Florida - McDoubles Wrestling KOT is my pick to win this weight. I know its weird to put him two tiers above Carr but I think he is a true 174 now and I think Carr will be undersized. Chance essentially beat JB 3-0 last year and I dont think hes getting better at 36 but I would love to be wrong. Chance also had some great international success at 86 which imo he is way too small for. 92 KG Tier 1 David Taylor, Oklahoma - COWBOY RTC Zahid Valencia, Arizona - Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club Tier 2 EYMPT Tier 3 Trent Hidlay, North Carolina - WOLFPACK WC/ MWC Tier 4 Pat Downey, Maryland - NYAC Tier 5 Jonathan Aiello, Virginia - PENN RTC/TMWC Eric Schultz, Illinois - Nebraska Wrestling Training Center Michael Macchiavello, Pennsylvania - LVWC/TMWC Tier 6 *Aeoden Sinclair, Wisconsin - Tiger Style Wrestling Club Marcus Coleman, Iowa - Cyclone Regional Training Center C-RTC Tier 7 Maximus Hale, Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania RTC Zane Mulder, Iowa - Burg Training Center Eze Chukwuezi, New York - Spartan Combat RTC Cameron Caffey, Illinois - Michigan Wrestling Club Nick Stemmet, Illinois - Illinois NO TIER Aidan Brenot, Tennessee - Bison Wrestling Club Luke Duthie, Pennsylvania - Pennsylvania I agree on Sinclair being too small, Pat had lungs at the BJJ thing and had he had them at trials would have beaten carter Imo. If we get motivated DT and the weight cut proved to be part of the issue at trials I think he wins. Zahid did beat Azarpira last year at worlds and Azarpira went on to beat snyder twice this year and had he not died could have beaten Taz so to me that match is a toss up.2 points

First of all, Stanich and Crookham are on the same team so only one can wrestle 133. Second, Davis and Nagao are on the same team so only one can wrestle 133. Third, Davis is not an AA. I agree that it is a tough weight with a lot of depth but it does lack those top end guy that we have seen the last few years (i.e. Vito, RBY, Fix). Now, maybe Crookham/Bailey/Ayala will end up being those guys. Time will tell.2 points

I think Tyreek felt he was too important to be treated such. I would say driving 100mph is reason to pull someone over. Refusal to comply with police orders is a reason to pull someone out of the car. Was it a black man driving 100mph or was it just an individual driving 100mph. Apparently the windows were so tinted Tyreek couldn't be seen so how did the minority racial cop know the driver was a minority racial person? Seems like Tyreek was out of line here. mspart1 point
-
I'm surprised those tinted side windows are legal in the state. Those didn't just look dark they looked impossible to see thru. Most states I've lived in do not allow as dark of tint on the driver side window as the rear passenger window.1 point
-
Like. No reason at all? Is driving 100+ mph endangering peoples lives a reason? Is demanding approx 7 times to get out of the car and not complying nothing? Is acting like an unpredictable crazy person no reason at all?1 point

The fact that some of y'all are ok with how the cops treated a guy just because they didn't like his attitude is wild. Especially given how they start and escalate the physical contact for no reason at all. He's getting out of the car. Miami-Dade police are renowned throughout the state for a problem with brutality and accountability.1 point

@nhs67 A couple things that stand out at each weight or questions I have based on your observations. 61kg - As much as I am a fan of watching Desanto, I cannot see him beating Fix/Vito so I think he slides into the tier 3 slot. It is possible that the youngsters (Forrest/Blaze) make a tier 2 push but I think you have them slotted correctly for now. When was the last time Gross or Nahshon beat Fix/Vito? 70kg - I would move Alirez to Tier 2 and all the those below Tier 3 up one tier. It is possible that Alirez is just too small for 70kg and perfectly sized for 65kg though... I am very interested to see how Larkin and PJ Duke do against this competition. I would move Paniro up one tier as it is hard for me to picture him losing to Abas or Sheets but I could see him going with the Tier 2 guys. 79kg - I would combine Tier 1 and 2. Something seems to have really clicked for Hunter Garvin but I think you probably have him tiered properly considering that Wick is at least 4 feet taller than him. I would slide Joey Bianchi down a tier. 92kg - I hate to say it but Downey has to be at least Tier 5 but probably should be Tier 4. Taylor did not kill Zahid at final X 2022 so it is possible that Zahid should be Tier 2. That being said, if it is true that DT size for 86kg was a problem then he would be significantly bigger than Zahid.1 point

Doubtful. Will she be asked anything of substance? Will she answer with anything of substance? Trump just has to be quiet while she rambles and everyone will see she is a train wreck worse than Biden. Unfortunately, we have no good choices in this thing. Of the two, I'd rather see Trump win both the debate and election. But I think it will be close in both. mspart1 point

I think you were 100% right about Basch not thinking DT was a possibility for WTT. I think Basch talked to some people after the podcast that changed his mind.1 point

I don't think Trump will get 86 million. Trump got 63+ million in 2016 and 73+ million in 2020. Just by population aging factors (older Americans are more conservative) I suspect that about 80 million Trump votes is not unreasonable. My point, however, is that in order for Kam-eleon to win the swing states to get an electoral college victory the Dems will have to produce about 87 million ballots with her name marked. I guess they can produce fewer if they double count 'em like last time. So, the pool bet I am proposing is the number of ballots the Dems will need to be able to COUNT marked for Harris to defeat Trump. I think the over/under is 87 million.1 point

Your description of WRash's take as asinine is generous. Bo just won a Bronze medal as a 1st year U20 wrestler where he looked awesome in all his matches excepting the Semi loss. He has beaten highly accomplished D1 wrestlers as well as other super elite High School kids. Anyone talking about him being a bust is just a dick.1 point

Hamas - the government of the Palestinians which invaded another country and took Americans as hostages - is still solely responsible for every death in Gaza. I am not surprised that Israel is pursuing release of its hostages and the exterrmination of Hamas. I am aghast that America is not going after Hamas also for their war crimes. Just like the Ayatolla and his friends had their "come to Jesus moment" (see what I did there, clever) as Reagan was inaugurated in 1981 with the hostages Iran took does anyone think that Hamas' might get an attitude adjustment if Trump is about to be Inaugurated again in January?1 point

In Flo's Paris interview with Uww president Lalovic, he made it seem like there was no reason to change anything and said it will take a very strong argument to persuade the board of any changes--despite being clear and open about other significant changes on the table that will probably pass. Maybe this was just his personal opinion, but it made me think nothing will change for this cycle.1 point

The brother thing is what it is. There's family members I'd rather not speak to, not because of their political opinions, but I just don't want to be around their drama. I can't really avoid reading the boards, since I use Tapatalk mostly - so these busy topics show up at the top - and sometimes the differing of opinions and the wild posts that follow are fun reading. I'll lurk, but more in a people-watching sort of way. I'm not leaving the site. I find the almost blind faith some people have in their side of the argument, no matter which side it is, to be comical. It doesn't impact my view of them personally, especially those whom I've met in person. I'm just going back to my self-imposed ban on talking about politics, it's easier to interact in a non-contentious manner when you strip out the no-win divisive topics like this.1 point
-
I also saw he has a brother he hasn’t spoken to in years has different political opinions, too. You know what that means? Also nothing. I hadn’t spoken to my brother who lived in another state for probably 15 years. We didn’t care for each other either. Means what exactly? I’m sure if you asked either of us why, you’d get widely different answers. Bottom line on this to me is I just found the instance of random relatives who share a grandfather with someone they’ve never met - and it popping up here - worth pointing out it isn’t some type of “gotcha” moment people want it to be. I find both presidential options poor and am staunchly apolitical. I hope no one takes this personally, I didn’t. I’ll be back on the wrestling topics. Have a good one.1 point
-
So are we REALLY putting validity into a picture by distant relatives who admit they’ve never met Tim Walz? I’m sure we all have relatives we don’t agree with politically. You know what that means? Absolutely Nothing. This ends my quadrennial trip into political discourse. As always, it’s a complete waste of time.1 point
