It's only a problem when that terrorist org kills 1200 and takes 200 prisoners and kills them and hides behind civilians they take no responsibility for and when the aggressor is Israel. If it was Jordan, no one would care. If it was Saudi, no one would care. Only when it is Israel do the loonies come out. Gays for Palestine? Trans for Palestine? You folks would be killed immediately in Palestine no questions asked. Emotional dissonance. Hamas has the strings and are making the puppets dance. mspart3 points

Looks like Heeg to Northern Colorado. They have a solid dual team. Only a hole at 141/149 (wherever Alirez isn't) and HWT, potentially.2 points

I do hope that we see Masoumi - Geno. I also hope that Parris gets to face both, but all three matches can't happen unless Parris loses to one of them - which I don't want to happen. So that said, I want to see Masoumi - Geno, then Parris vs the winner either in the semi-final of finals.2 points

I watched this topnotch documentary on youtube yesterday and wanted to share. Curran Jacobs (MSU wrestler and catch world champion) has put together a documentary on the history of catch-as-catch-can wrestling along with Mike Chapman (WIN Magazine, creator of the Hodge Trophy, 5x National Wrestling Writer of the Year) that is absolutely fascinating. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Learn about guys like Billy Riley, Karl Gotch, Frank Gotch, Farmer Burns, and many more. Watch Terry Brands volunteer to get his tibia broken with a toe hold in front of the Gable statue. See the passion Dan Gable and others have for the history of the sport. It is an hour and seventeen minutes well spent. To paraphrase Mike Chapman, get hooked on catch.2 points

Every Palestinian death since 07 October is Hamas' responsibility. Hamas could have unconditionally surrendered at any moment between then and now. Until Hamas surrenders unconditionally the responsibility for every Palestinian death is solely theirs. Non-Hamas Palestinians can assist in exterminating Hamas. Or not.2 points

Who knows. One thing we know for sure is the media will be talking about it 24/7 for months. They might even melt down the airways if he is acquitted. Have a great day everyone. This has been quite an education for the American public.1 point

Technically during the pandemic I cancelled my Flo subscription a day late. After I complained to my credit card company, Flo wanted to negotiate, but I ignored their appeals. Ultimately I didn’t have to pay them anything for the non renewal.1 point

I was looking at Jacob frosts results last year and he lost to Kyler Larkin 10-8 in an open tournament. Larkin is very very good but hes been holding down 61kg so losing to an undersized high schooler who still takes some losses (forrest at boarder brawl 10-6 I believe forrest bumped up it was at like 135) Bassett once and davino twice give me a little pause.1 point

In all fairness, and it’s not secret around here my opinion of the guy, but saying “we’re going to look at that and put out a policy” is not at all saying we’re going to ban or restrict contraception. The policy could just as well be no ban/restriction, as it could be for bans/restrictions. But he didn’t say one way or the other, nor lean one way or the other. Honestly probably one of the better answers he’s ever given in his career as a politician. Subtle tip: just stick with what the guy actually says. He’s going to give you plenty of ammo. You don’t need to reach.1 point

But did they protest the civilians? That's my point. Did anyone protest the Syrian civilians. Has anyone protested the Ukrainian civilians? Not with near the ferocity of the Gazan civilians. If you can't see that Israel does more than anyone else to minimize civilian casualties, then you are unwilling to see truth. If that is the case, I will agree to disagree with you on this subject. mspart1 point

that is in direct response to someone asking him a yes or no question regarding supporting restrictions on contraception. If he does not support it why would he not simply reply "no I do not". The fact that he says he has a policy on it coming out is him saying yes i do support restrictions because that's the only possible thing that means1 point

Who's the lyer? You just quoted he said “We’re looking at that and I’m going to have a policy on that very shortly,” so he didn't say what you said he said.1 point

7 Teams sound about par for College D1 wrestling. There has only been 15 D1 College Football National Championship teams in 30 years. And thats with a lot more D1 schools having football than wrestling programs. Here are the last 30 years of D1 Football N. Champs. Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Ohio St., Florida St., Auburn, Florida, Texas, USC, Miami, OU, Tenn, Michigan and Nebraska.1 point

I personally have nothing wrong with people raising money for their family to go to watch them in Paris. How many people have that amount of extra cash lying around for a trip to the Olympics? You don't have to like people reaching out and asking for help, just shut up and ignore it. You have problems with RBY and some of the things he has done? Fine. Move on. Personally if I was a Olympic Athlete, I would love to have my family there to watch and I would bet that there would be a lot of other family members, fans, and people in the community that would love to get them there also.1 point

Dang. I've been a frog in boiling water about this. There have only been 7 D1 team champions over the last 50 years, and it's not even close outside of Iowa and PSU: Okie State won 7, Minny 3, ISU 2, ASU & tOSU 1 apiece. I guess we focus so much on individual titles that there's an illusion of parity that isn't really there.1 point
-
That level of parity has never really existed in wrestling. In past 36 years only 5 teams have won team titles. One of those 5, Ohio State, won only a single title. The championship team failed to repeat only 4 times (OSU 1994, Minnesota 2007, Ohio State 2015, and Iowa 2021) during that period. It could have been even fewer if not for probation for things that are no longer against the rules (OSU), eligibility loss due to transfer which is no longer a thing (2007), and COVID (2021). Whilst a certain level of parity is both necessary and desirable, parity can also produce less compelling storylines. The year with perhaps the most parity, when the traditional power house programs were down, was 2015. The title was up for grabs with traditional powers PSU, OSU, and Minnesota outside the top 5 and Edinboro was as much a title contender as Iowa. It was cool, but was it as compelling as 2018 when two all time great teams battled it out for the title?1 point

Mondo Duplantis is my vote for the current world's great athlete. Current World Record holder for pole vault. Not sure if it is 100% accurate, but their was a claim that he was faster running with a pole vault than any NFLer was measured during any game. The athleticism of pole vaulters is amazing and he is the best of all time. Speed power and agility Also for those who get worked up by Americans competing for other countries. he was born and raised in the US and still trains here, but has an American father and Swedish mother and has chosen to represent Sweden1 point

So Chittum hasn't actually used a redshirt yet and Gaitan could move down to 165. Echemendia used his red shirt previously and also used the free year, but this was otherwise his first year of eligibility used. I'm gonna place the year of eligibility after the name for clarity. 2024: 141: Echemendia1 149: Swiderski2 157: Chittum1 2025: 141: Echemendia2 149: Johnson3 / Swiderski RS 157: Chittum2 2026: 141: Echemendia3 149: Swiderski3 157: Johnson4 / ChittumRS 2027 141: Echemendia4 149: Swiderski4 157: Chittum31 point
