Why does someone's video of Jan 6th always have to do with Tucker?? Weird.... Anyway, what are people so afraid of when it comes to new video's of that day?? That it won't jive with what ABC/CNN/MSNBC's news told them???. Hypocrisy is abound when it comes to Jan 6th. If both sides were honest, everyone would be open to any and all videos, all the "evidence" and not jump on the political wordsmithing MSM bandwagon every second they can get to call things big bad names so it sounds ten times worse than it TRULY was...and all that just for political reasons. Here is a hint...you can not like Trump and not think Jan 6th was an INSURECTION!! I know the media tells you those two things aren't exclusive...but they are. The saddest part is that MSM and people who follow them without questions pick and choose what they get all mad about instead of being consistent in what is a "protest", a "riot", etc. Makes a lot of people look really stupid...especially when they come on here and speak as if they are all knowing that Jan 6th was this HORRIFIC time in our history and lie to themselves by saying that group of idiots on Jan 6th went there to overthrow the election and yell INSERECTION!! Half of you probably don't even know what that word means except for what the news fed you.4 points

I continue to feel like pyles is a solid three rungs above where he should be in terms of influence and impact on the sport. He's a grown man getting in twitter fights with an athlete who clearly is not well.4 points

Seriously though that whole interview was the narcissist’s prayer in video form That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, that's not a big deal. And if it is, that's not my fault. And if it was, I didn't mean it. And if I did, you deserved it.4 points

i used to think they were slightly informative and liked his barnyard analogies, but now the sheer weight of whats unsaid makes it torture. What is the question that would clear the air? Something like "How embarassed are you that you tried to sell your soul for an NCAA title and to have the whole thing blow up in your face? Its really kind of a worst case scenario huh?"3 points

I have seen that pic and he was snorting Vitamin D concentrate powder, bad actors on behalf of Mark Hall, as well as other Pac 12 programs conspired to slander him which resulted in a drug suspension (Zahid doesn't even know what cocaine is, I asked him and it's true, he didn't know). Again, ASU is second only to Liberty University and *possibly* the Naval Academy when it comes to abstemiousness.3 points

As I said, Cornell doesn't recognize majors. "Engineering" means the College of Engineering. Students don't typically transfer between Colleges at Cornell, and the more typical case is students enrolling at easier-to-get-into colleges and transferring into the College of Engineering after taking sufficient engineering courses as electives*. Those listed as being in the College of Engineering are a senior, a junior, a freshman, a sophomore, and another sophomore. Foca (senior), Cardenas (senior), Fernandez (junior) are the ones in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. Not an easy academic load, IIRC. *many years ago, I had a girlfriend in the Ag school who was taking 6-7 courses per semester, including at least two engineering courses, and who did transfer into the College of Engineering and became a structural test engineer. Totally off topic: this led me to find a photo of her from her years at Cornell. Thanks!3 points

Keep Travis Wittlake in your thoughts and prayers. He sustained substantial injuries while working on his pickup. His wrestling career is likely over but he escaped a very serious situation with his life. https://www.gofundme.com/f/travis-wittlake-jr-emergency-medical-fund?fbclid=IwAR0-PhbW51D7z_Af6m7_rj8DbKeLgVoQLY20EtrsJB3nYdGM8Ex6Y0REB282 points

Why would Trump incite violence while also approving the National Guard in advance of the protest? (???) Did this Democratic-led committee fulfill its duty to understand what went wrong? (no) According to the committee chair Bernie Thompson "I'm actually not aware of any member of the committee who had access (to videos). We had a team of employees who kind of went through the video." They did not investigate the FBI role before and during the demonstrations. Was the federal government unprepared? (maybe) Why did House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger deny U.S. Capitol Police Steven Sund's pre-demonstration request for the National Guard? Was it really "optics" when the president had already approved the NG request? Was the mob's goal clear? (no) Was the mob bent on murdering Pence? (the mob? - no) Did Trump alone provoke the attack? (no, we've been told by Congress that the FBI instigated 10 months before the event, and we visually see law enforcement attack large groups of protestors without warning. From whistleblowers, videos, and court documents, we also know antifa was involved, and people who just enjoy violence/mayhem for the sake of it.) Was Trump justified in calling the election rigged? (We know it was rigged to a certain degree (pre-election law changes, big tech censorship) and time will tell us more about election days rigging ) Relating to the emotional words (darkest days, heartbreaking, lies) depends on the extent the election was rigged... which bubble burst has still not had evidence reviewed in the court of law. Linear TV and digital media are generally measured and counted differently because the advertising models for each media are different. Linear TV viewing totals are the averages of every minute watched because advertisers want to know how many viewers watched their ads, not the content itself. So, more than 34,000 watched some portion of the OKST-NCST dual on ESPNU - very few people watch every minute of any telecast (think of the channel surfing you do) - but the average number of viewers at any given time was 34,000. Linear TV is primarily measured by Nielsen and a viewer counts if the program is watched in the same format as the original telecast WITH THE SAME AD CONTENT within 7 days of viewing. So, if you recorded that match on ESPNU using your YouTubeTV virtual cable TV subscription service and watched within 7 days of the original telecast - which it sounds like you did - your viewing could be added to an amended total that is provided to the network and its advertisers. (Not sure I want to go into all that goes into the final tabulations of data from Nielsen's panel and its access to "big data" from cable services.) However, in digital media like streaming video, ads are delivered on an individual basis based on what the platform believes who is watching on a given device. (These assumptions are hilariously terrible and people would be a lot less worried about data privacy if they knew how badly the algorithms worked.) So, if a person watches the match on YouTube and not the YouTube virtual cable service, viewing would be added to a separate cumulative total of views of the meet on the platform no matter how much or little of the meet you watched. Ultimately, the powers that be at ESPNU would much prefer you to watch the meet on ESPNU in real time because they would make more money if you did. But, they also know they must follow their viewers. So if people want to watch portions of the meet on YouTube they will put it there lest people watch pirated versions of their telecast and they make no money whatsoever.2 points

Unclear from the go fund me if he was using one or not, but always use a jack stand before getting under a vehicle. Don't trust your life to a jack. If possible put some kind of backup in place too in case it falls off the jack stand. For example, if you are taking the wheel off to do the job, place the tire/wheel such that if the car falls off the jack stand it will hit that before it totally crushes you.2 points

This one's tough. Just getting to know the young man since he came back home. Saw him wrestle a handful of times on video, then last Friday on the raised podium, along with 8500 others. Hoping for the best for him and his family & teammates. If you have the time I encourage you to listen to his interview done last week on local Corvallis/Albany radio. KEJO (Joe Radio), podcast. 1-3-24. His piece starts about 1:15 in. Coach Pendleton is on the first hour. Listening to this made me think, what a great young man this is and how he will be a success in anything he does. https://the-joe-beaver-show.simplecast.com/episodes2 points

I've worked in TV audience research and measurement for ~30 years. No one tunes into BTN or ESPNU for anything but college football, and even then the best matchups will have 1/10th of the audience of the crappiest game on ESPN 2 and 1/100th if the crappiest game on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, or ESPN. Be happy that theses networks are re-learning that live sports content beats talk shows and whatever the heck these networks rerun when they're not showing live games and that wrestling is getting a larger platform. But, be ready to scrutinize the audiences for our sport when meets or tournament finals are on ESPN or ESPN 2. That's when we can have that apples to apples comparison with the other sports fighting for more media coverage.2 points

He's not a fully formed adult yet and by his actions he's not able to regulate his emotions or responses. Something akin to how a kid would react. So ya, I think kids still applies. In perfect world we wouldn't need to put this out into a public forum where arm chair qb's can have a turn and perpetuate the outrage culture we have. The coach could've stepped in and done something. The parents could've gotten the kid some help. I understand the reaction to be mad. I was mad. It would seem something so obvious to 'me'(we all like to think everyone thinks or feels like we do) is obvious to everyone. The ref didn't think so at the time. Was he wrong or not in a position to see it clearly? Maybe. Are there things going or went on in that kid's life that might explain his reaction? Probably. Does he understand them or have control of them? Seemingly not. I simply suggest to take a breath and hold off on condemning the kid in a public forum. Because as we've seen in other situations, there is a greater than 0% chance that someone takes it too far. I just urge caution because of that. That's all.2 points

You obviously don't 'know' but I imagine you'll continue believing it. Can't help you there. Didn't say you did or were. My objection was to continue the conversation at all. Potentially bringing more KIDS and they are kids, under the spot light for the hyenas to jump on. (the kid obviously has issues, what do you get for exposing them to the world? its not interesting or news its just something you can point to and say this is what's making me mad today as if you need a reason, if you just want to be mad then be mad, i'd talk to someone cuz its seems like that could be an issue in and of itself, but he's not a kardashian or a politician. Is what he did wrong? yes. Should the coach have stepped in to stop it the second time? yes. Should that coach be reprimanded or made to answer for his in/actions? yes, other then that what is the point? you're piling on a kid and getting quite heated that someone would disagree with you or the group you support. Sounds a bit like guilt or shame to me. could be wrong. long parenthetical here aaaaaaaand... stop) I understand it seems you would rather yell and pout instead of ask questions for clarity. Fine. Be a victim on someone's behalf if that's what you are in to. If you were really interested, you'd ask instead of continue to make errant claims. You obviously are offended. Your posts are dripping with it. You're itching for a fight. I'll bet you get all tingly when you pull the site back up. Hoping for a response so you can stay agitated. Does the calm give you anxiety? Like the something worse is coming so you need to create conflict where there is none. Again, that sounds exhausting. I suggest mediation and deep breathing. Text is not a great medium to infer intent. You've done that a few times. Try another tactic if you want a different result. If you want a different result that is. GL.2 points

Valid observation, yet he could face expulsion and end up with a less-than-honorable discharge (e.g., general, bad conduct, or dishonorable), each of which has lasting consequences. Drawing from my experience in the Marine Corps, individuals resembling AJ struggle with such attitudes and usually end up getting booted out. While he may excel physically, mental resilience constitutes a significant 60% of the challenge, an aspect seemingly lacking in his case.2 points

My guess is maybe slurs that Hispanic people are called? I mean other wrestlers have said Iowa fans called them racist names, that part is actually believable IMO. But him saying Glazier started the altercation and basically that he wasn’t really sorry for what he did was pretty cringe.1 point
