I want to get my best wishes in early as I will be out and about. Everyone have a wonderful and safe time. I enjoy arguing with you all, I enjoy learning from you all, and I enjoy being entertained by you all. I want to thank @Husker_Du for scrambling to put this board together on short notice as an early Christmas present to us all. Thank you @BobDole for your work from beyond the grave to make it all happen. And thank you @jross for archiving the previous board. Enjoy your family and friends everyone.

The international and college forums are on my local hard drive currently (1GB). It will take more time and energy than desired to publish in navigational form. I'll see about posting zips on a cloud share after Christmas with notes on interacting with it. Will share the other forums if I have them.

Everyone predicting bartlett wins this year needs to get real, more than likely to not place than win a title. I predicted iowa unfortunately severely under performs at ncaas this year

Pretty sure he has to do 4 years active coaching + 4 years of reserve coaching before he can move on to civilian endeavors

Agree to disagree. I think Fix is too dependent on bully boy wrestling lately to go up being so short limbed

As someone who wrestled 145-189 in high school at 6’3” I totally understand what you are saying. I do think that Fix is so talented and understands positioning well enough to overcome the size difference and would likely win 141.

Random fan here that never wrestled, but I may be able to provide a few insights. Purdue has had several good years in a row from 2019-last year, but they are very young this year, so while recently they have had a really solid lineup (7 or 8 NQs with several possible AAs that are voodoo hexed never to make it (Brunner, Lydy, Schroder, etc...) This year they are wrestling a LOT of younger guys. No, they rarely lose to teams like Drexel, but they're young this year. Doesn't help that for reasons unknown to me, 197 blood round/possible AA Penola isn't wrestling this year, so they are going from 3/4 studs down to 2/3, with many weights currently looking like they aren't going to NQ. Currently it seems like 125, 141, 157 are the only NQ locks, and Purdue may get one or two more in with good Big Tens, which is definitely down.

You need to watch the video. Was Brooks pinned - think so. Did Surber pin Moore - 5 times finally called on the 5th. Did G pin Hump - 2 or 3 times never called. That ref was slow on everything in that match. Not that a pin would matter in the big picture of the season but he was stuck - bah humbug.

I believe we have it covered now @Wrestleknownothing. What do you think?

if you think 141 is tough then who am i to tell you differently. but imo i think it's one of the worst weights in quite a while. i'm not gonna do the work, but i think you'd have a hard time finding a weight class where the top returner was 5th. and to add to that, there isn't depth. who do we think is elite here?
