They went 3-0 and beat Purdue. Molton beat Ramos. Shout out to Sentes for keeping Campbell going in the right direction4 points

Because you’re a staunch Hidlay believer so I wanted to rib you. Also because I had lots of wine and was feeling quite merry (not so much this morning)3 points

Nah. They were clear they support Kyle. I believe they will do anything within the NCAA Bylaws as long as they can do so truthfully. Their support doesn't extend to falsifying a certification that the gave Kyle no participation opportunity. It's as simple as that.2 points

It seems that a lot of threads veer off course around here, so a thread dealing with stupid things THAT ARE WRESTLING RELATED might be appropriate. All of you folks are already at the very top of my enemies list, so I thought that before getting on my last nerve, we should try this. It could be fun, or it could be stupid. We'll see. I'll start. I was on Andre's Wrestlestat.com site a short time ago, looking up Spencer Lee's, IMAR's, Aaron Brooks' and Carter Starocci's number of losses when I got to thinking thinking: If Wrestlestat continues its service for the next ten years, should Andre be inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame? I think, First Ballot. Then, I saw the google advertisement below. I still think Andre would be first ballot, but, my dude, I'm a little creeped out.2 points

Why is this so hard for one person to understand...it can absolutely be wrong to influence people to hold certain believes on social media, especially when it can persuade ones thinking and voting behaviors...and yet it can be completely "legal". Does anyone on here not agree that social media absolutely influences people one way or the other and it isn't a good thing...period?? No mention of legality. The other part is, people are clearly biased in what "bothers" them in terms of Twitter, et. al....when the old CEO was censoring and blocking a certain political group, the D's loved it and the R's hated it, now that a new CEO is in place, the D's hate it and attack him and the R's love it...when each CEO was doing the EXACT SAME THING as the other!!! It's fascinating that certain people can't see that this is the hypocrisy of the two-party system, and that they think their side is right and the other side are complete idiots, and vice versa...guess what, both sides are right in both cases. I'll never understand the blind allegiance to one political party or the other...to me people that do that are completely weak minded.2 points

He definitely was. Brooks is still #1 and I don't think that win is replicable for Coleman, but that's not the point. On that day in that match, Brooks was pinned.2 points

He just lost to Trey Munoz. Coleman won't be #1. It will be Brooks or Keck2 points

That is not 100% accurate. Wisconsin has stated that they did not tell their athletes about the May 1 deadline to enter the portal, and so have some culpability.2 points

When I was in high school my best friend's mom married a guy who had played for the Eagles in the 1960 NFL championship game. They were having a party and he was showing his friends a highlight film of the game. On a key play he throws the key block to spring the RB for a TD (or maybe just a long run, hard to recall perfectly). Someone gleefully pointed out that he was holding on the play. The host, with a big smile on his face said, "it aint a hold if the ref doesn't call it."2 points

Flo is doing a crap job by not going into some of the details of what a NPO waiver is and what it means to sign one. If the posts above are correct and aren’t leaving out important details, then this aspect seems to be damn important.2 points

Brooks had so much grace in the way he behaved after the upset loss. Did not storm away like a frustrated child. He gave congratulations to his opponent, shook his hand and walked off the mat with all composure and no attitude. Similar to the story told about how Yianni acted after losing to Gomez. Brooks is a high character guy and is my favorite Nittany Lion2 points

Just noticed Purdue took two pretty big losses to Drexel and Campbell. Last year they looked solid and like they were on their way up. Are a number of starters out? Injuries? Or is this just where they are again?1 point

The best annual article from one of my favorite writers, Drew Magary. Ladies and gentlemen: The 2022 Hater’s Guide To The Williams-Sonoma Catalog “Leave your duck boots in the breezeway and help yourself to some wassail. It’s anything but “mid,” I assure you. Unfortunately, our new contractors weren’t able to finish our addition in time for Christmas, which absolutely broke Grayley’s heart. He was planning to move back in after he finished at Skidmore, and now he might have to stay in the pool house instead. Can you IMAGINE? Dreadful. Just dreadful. There’s barely enough room in the pool house for a full bar!”1 point

Brooks took his loss like a man and with the class of a natty champ. I’d hate to be his training partner for the next week or so.1 point

At the very least Wisconsin was deceitful in their statement a while back that they support him gaining eligibility and did everything they can do. Obviously, there is room for interpretation in what they would be signing. To suggest they could face sanctions for doing so is one of the most idiotic takes ever. At they very worst Wisconsin is being completely disgraceful. Either way it is bad look for them.1 point

That’s why I’m calmly just asking him what’s he’s doing it. It frustrates them1 point

Not a criminal example, just taking a moment to poke into character flaws. Not comparing to others... just pointing out that Biden lies all the time... some whoppers are bigger than others. Back when this guy could speak clearly, he was full of it. Biden did not attend Syracuse Law School on a “full academic scholarship.” It was a half scholarship based on financial need. He didn't finish in the “top half” of his class. He was 76th out of 85. He did not win the award given to the outstanding political science student at his undergraduate college, the University of Delaware. He didn’t graduate from Delaware with “three degrees,” but with a single B.A. in political science and history.1 point

That has yet to be revealed, right? If so and if criminal, I'll be the first one calling it crooked.1 point

Seed conferences based off of conference dual meet results. If schools face each other outside of the official conference meet, it gets used too (thinking Bedlam here). Ignore the name of the wrestler entirely. Input the school name during the seeding process. It's a start and it will ensure that schools are a bit more honest, hopefully. Edit #1: Not sure how we implement this to NCAAs, but one method to determine AQ is perhaps use the previous seasons NCAA results. Top 24 earn AQ for the conference, with each conference earning at a minimum one (1) AQ - on the chance a conference has no Top 24 placers. The balance becomes wild card (up to nine of them). Edit #2: Keep NCAA seeding and WC selection the same, as-is. I like it. Match count requirements, RPI, record, etc. Edit #3: I would also like to see D2, D3, and NAIA each get their champion (or highest accepting placer) a chance at D1 as well. The caveat is that those three cannot participate in the pig tails, so at the very minimum they must be seeded 26-28 at the lowest. Oh! Also conference champions cannot be seeded in the pig tails either!1 point

Been proposed many times before. All you have to do is convince the b10 that their tournament isn't more important than the NCAA tournament.1 point

I kind of agree. I like the scenery and most episodes have about 10 minutes of decent drama but most of the show just drags on and not a real compelling story.1 point
