Terrible news to begin the week that we have lost one of our own. Hope you're having a blast with those Sunday comics in the sky because you will be missed down here.

i am an idiot on the internet

Opening this thread, I was hopefully thinking that it was only the blog that was gone and not the actual man.  always enjoyed interacting with him. His comics and attitude helped create a laid back and fun environment here.  Jombo was a hilarious way to start Sunday mornings.  He will be missed and his impact will not be quickly forgotten.

I haven't said anything until now because I didn't know whether or not I should as I had such little interaction with Greg, as I am a newer member to this board. If he was anything like the personality he shared on this board and in his blogs, he will undoubtedly be very sorely missed. His enthusiasm and sense of humor were more than apparent, even to someone as new around here as me. I know this is just a goofy online board where a bunch of us get to share opinions on wrestling, but I'm sure if his family ever sees this thread, they will see that the man behind the @ILLINIWrestlingBlog moniker was a truly bright light on the internet which can so often be cruel and dark.

I wish we had a heart emoji.  Great find.

I'd actually like a Jombo emoji at some point in the future after obtaining his families permission

Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just seeing this very sad news.  I always looked forward to seeing the Jombo post. Being right next door in Missouri, with much respect for the Illini, I was always entertained with Greg's passionate posts.  Going to be a big void on the forum.
