  1. His ceiling is probably 4th at either weight. Both weights clear out significantly after this year. It would have been stupid to not use his redshirt. Also kharchla could place as high as 4th. Redshirt is best for him and the team.

  3. Pardon my having fun here... your forum name, if I'm guessing correctly, describe you as a .500 wrestler in your past wrestling days, yes? I was above average and good looking on the Lake Wobegone HS wrestling team... D3

  4. The great Jordan Burroughs win his first title in a bracket with Gregor Gillespie and Jordan Leen (and future champ JP O'Connor). None of them met him in the finals where he faced Mike Poeta.

  13. Matt McDonough in 2010 won his first title in a bracket with two returning champs (Escobedo and Nickerson). He didn't have to wrestle either of them, however. And it's also worth noting that I believe both Angel and Troy were wrestling with one shoulder each. OP said "outplace" two former national champs.

  18. I don't know specifically, but the gist of it was that Zeke had lost some of his luster with recruits and the people who hold/held the actual authority wanted to let him retire peacefully and pass it on. Apparently they wanted to pursue somebody younger like Taylor, and Zeke basically told them he would leave when he was good and ready. Somebody somewhere had foresight that Taylor would become available in a few years. But this was 3rd hand information. I think the changes that were coming to the ASU athletic department were a part of it, since everyone knew after the Herm Edwards debacle it was only a matter of time until the AD "resigned".

  19. You still really haven’t been paying attention. One, with all that ‘your party’ stuff. Two, with the idea that I hate a President, any President. Or spend the energy to get mad over anything R or D in DC. Three, I really don’t need you to tell me what would or would not happen in high level sports. Really haven’t been paying attention.

  21. I forget who was in an interview recently but they said something about how they practice less at PSU than a lot of schools, and they all talk about how they just have fun wrestling. If you think DT is in there grinding these guys early and is going to burn them out by march, that would go against everything he learned from his mentor/coach.

  22. A rematch would be interesting because they both had major takeaways: 1) Fish needs to stop going to his own back and generally thinking more about risk management when he is wrestling 2) Hipolito needs more conditioning because he died about halfway through the third period

  23. I think Fish would win a rematch. He made some mistakes and gave up back points twice. I think he reigns it in if they meet again

  24. I think we will find that if this case is not dismissed by Judge Merchan, then a appellate court in NY will throw it out for speciousness. Which is what we have been saying all along. You can't have a felony conviction if you don't even have an indictment of specific charges. The specific charges in the indictment that Bragg brought was "other crimes". I have detailed this a number of times. Can you be a little more specific Bragg? Even the judge at the end in the instructions to the jury said you can find he is guilty of 3 different crimes. You don't have to be unanimous on the specific crime, just be unanimous that he is guilty of something and that is good enough. You just don't have this in a felony case or any other case for that matter unless the defendant is Donald Trump. In fact the case where he was found liable for sexual misconduct, the lady couldn't even remember when the alleged misconduct took place. But in Trump's case, that is enough to have a court case and find him liable. That one will also be thrown out I believe. And then there is the no crime case that was brought against Trump and he now owes 450 million dollars to NY. No one was harmed, everyone was paid what was owed, and there was not victim. But none of that matters as long as the defendant is Donald Trump. I have to say if they went after Biden like this I would laugh but know that it was a farce. You guys on the left can't even go there. Blinders on. Rational thought eviscerated. Mindless sheep. It is a sad state to be in for sure mspart

  25. There are 10 teams with 10 ranked wrestlers in at least one of the ranking services (6 have 10 in all 3). But not all are alike. It is wild that Pitt has ten ranked wrestlers in Flo this week, but they will do well to scratch out 1 AA with their highest ranked wrestler at 11. So who can make a run at Minnesota? Remember that based on seeds The Golden Gophers only had a 0.78% chance of finishing with 10 AAs. Chances of All 10 AAs

  28. Why do you think they put together such huge bills RV? It is to hide all the ludicrous spending they want. You are not being logical here. You are only concerned with the second bill and not the first one that the Ds helped craft. You should be ecstatic that that bill did not pass. Instead, you make excuses on whay it wasn't so bad. Yes, you are obviously a real deficit hawk. mspart

  29. "A Junior World champion at 15 years old, Jimmy placed sixth at the 1971 Senior World Championships as a 16-year-old and competed in the 1972 Olympics as a 17-year-old high school junior, becoming the youngest American wrestler to compete in the Olympics." Just in case anyone isn't aware, Jimmy Carr is David Carr's uncle.

  39. Except that Trump doesn't know binary or hex or even Base10. He's a dinosaur with criminal history/tendencies and dementia. At this point, he's nothing more than a puppet. He will become the president, but will remain a puppet to his wealthy donors. (This isn't something I am celebrating, it is the sad reality of where we currently are.) I suspect it was "president-elect Musk" or his team that replied here. He jumped in and took the reigns at just the right time. He can't legally be elected president, but he can buy the influence. And Trump would rather accept his cash and go golf, then take a nap than pretend he really wants to be any kind of leader (we all witnessed that his last go 'round.) We'll transition to "President Musk" in early January - maybe not formally, but all signs indicate he'll be calling the shots. So many folks in leadership positions in the highest levels of the federal government took an oath to uphold the Constitution. Yet so few of them care about that oath at all. Welcome to the swamp. Same swamp as in 2016 - but 10 times bigger. And Musk and his money is the fattest alligator in it.
