Amit Elor is the p4p best wrestler in the world. Three titles at 20 years old. She is officially in hallowed ground and her only competition is herself until someone rises up to challenge her.5 points

Here’s the thing. You aren’t the arbiter of who is an American. That’s the US constitution and our laws. You making up your own arbitrary definition of who is an American is about as meaningful as if you created your own personal version of the Olympics. It’s also strange that you have created a cutoff at a third generation American counting. Native Americans might not consider you to be American. I also don’t think you understand how genetics works-your genes don’t change based on where your parents are born. If you can’t celebrate that one of the best wrestlers in the world is American (born here, trained here, representing our country), ask yourself why that is. I’d also consider changing your handle, since using JB’s moniker to espouse this nonsense just isn’t right.5 points

Swimming gives out too many medals. 50, 100, and 200 for free, breast, fly and back seems like overkill, especially when the winners at 100 are usually contenders at either 50 or 200. Then you have the relays which is not an individual effort. Lopez achievements are far more impressive in my opinion.3 points

I'm sure WADA and USADA have performed a number of tests over many years to confirm that you are a jackass.3 points

Youth wrestling is about participation. College/junior wrestling is about competition. Open/Olympic wrestling is about winning. It's pretty ruthless out there.3 points

I agree with the Usain Bolt part but disagree with Lopez as best ever. Greco is a lower form of grappling vs Freestyle and both are inferior to Folkstyle.2 points

Of course he is. We all know wrestling > swimming therefore ... Well ... ok one of us on these here boards does not know.2 points

Could she have beaten TMS? We miss Mike Parrish at times like these.2 points

I think Lopez could've gutted Acosta three more times but thought to himself, "nah, too much work."2 points

No, he was saying the guy Malik replied to deleted it and he was wondering what the person Malik had replied to had said. @1032004, looks like it was in the comments as a screenshot.2 points

Again. The trans issues are a net positive for Republicans. Abortion a net negative. Abortion was and still is a far more pressing issue for most Americans vs trans issues. That ad will not hurt the Republicans. But the net positive is minimal2 points

Thanks, same to you! Yeah, my life has seen some pretty drastic changes, and kept me off the boards since themat.com days. Still lurking from time to time… but you know I gotta be checked in for the Olympics and see Lee get his gold.2 points

Hildebrandt teched her at a ranking series event last July, but yeah, 0-2 at Worlds in 22 & 23. Dolgorjav has a bunch of losses to Feng from China, who Sarah just beat in the 1/4s. It's a tough style matchup for Hildebrandt. Last year I remember thinking, "Damn...Spaghetti has no answer for Meatball today"2 points

She was born in the US. Has always lived and wrestled in the US. Why not wrestle for the US?1 point

Yeah sometimes people get hurt and its ugly. Regardless we can't just start retroactively making moves illegal after someone gets hurt.1 point

For some reason I doubt Aaron Brooks was handed a cut sheet of the exact, scene-by-scene events of opening ceremony, with which to make a decision on whether or not to attend.1 point
