  1. And it’s only the D’s right. We don’t have anything on the right side of the aisle we should shape up….right? Since Jan’17, Republicans decided the best way to govern was to “own the libs”, and they’ve been losing more and more elections since. And as such, policy is shifting more and more left. You know what I would like to see, I would like to see Republicans dump the MAGA bullshit, along with the Liberal Derangement Syndrome, and focus on cleaning up their own house. Maybe then they can start winning more elections and policy can start shifting a little more back to the conservative.

  3. This is an unusually blunt post but I had a nice thought and people swallow those too often. If you'd asked me if WKN was smart I'd say very, but the characteristic that occur to me is that he's extremely methodical and disciplined and curious about raw data. This makes him way more useful than most smart people I know.

  5. Robert Epstein is not a conservative. Robert uses strong evidence to show anti-conservative bias. Robert votes for Democrats. This quote is appropriate. “I have become a darling of conservatives, which is driving me crazy,” Epstein said. “But they love me because I am saying things they want to hear. People I am closer to politically don’t want to hear what I have to say.”

  8. What's weird is that they fall into group think and cannot think for themselves. Kamala says Trump and Vance say weird things and now everyone is saying they are weird. No imagination, no thinking for themselves, just groupthink. Let's see, what political movement enforces groupthink? Can anyone think of that. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/democrats-new-line-attack-republicans-youre-weird/story?id=112281846 https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2024/07/29/trump-weird-political-insult-democrats/74585463007/ https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/26/trump-vance-weird-00171470 https://www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/news/democrats-calling-donald-trump-weird-trend-minnesota-governor-tim-walz/ No it is not just right leaning media that is noticing this. None of the links above are from right leaning media. And they are noticing that Ds have no ability to think for themselves. Isn't that what we were all taught by our parents and teachers - to think for ourselves? This is just such a demonstration of how shallow and unable to be creative the Ds are. mspart

  10. Not unreasonable. Rs have lost but gained in the House to muddy those waters. But barely. I agree both parties need to look inward. I do not think Make America Great Again is a bad thing. It is a good thing. Why wouldn't anyone want to make America Great Again! Under Obama it was, "well this is the new normal" referring to the economy. Trump showed him wrong. He helped make the economy great again. There are many that admit things were better under Trump than under Biden. What Biden has done is make America not great in my opinion. Many share this, hence make America great again. My opinion is that the left doesn't think America was ever great, hence it is idiotic to say make it great again. Stupid to say they say. This is borne out by their policies which have dragged America down in most aspects of life; economy, justice, crime, drugs, illegal border crossings, is a clarion call for the left. These things do not lift us up, but drag us down. mspart

  15. WA Gov candidate and current WA AG, Bob Ferguson, approved of no police chase in the name of road safety, but which caused an increase in speeding (and traffic deaths due to it), stolen cars ( no chase could be done), and ramming storefronts with said stolen car to destroy the front and steal the goods. There was a story on this every week around here. He approved of no sentencing for fentanyl possession or use. Wow, so now we have the most drug deaths ever because of that. He is against the death penalty but apparently supportive of death by drug overdose. He wants to be governor with that and much more on his watch. I'd say he is an extremist. His D challenger in the primary is a fiscal conservative, social liberal. He initiated a bill to make drugs at least a misdemeanor. Ferguson was nowhere as a co-sponsor or advocate for the bill. It passed. I would say this challegner is moderate compared to extremist Ferguson. mspart

  18. Reading comprehension. I didn't confirm anything, I clearly said you were dancing. Now to answer your question, is the pregnancy the only choice they have now following the first choice?......well I guess that depends on whether or not you are a person that believes in being responsible for your responsibilities.

  19. No it doesn't you are just dancing. But I will humor you: There are two living beings in this equation. One of those living beings made a choice to take on an action. As a result of that action, living being number one created living being number two, and the only way living being number two can survive, for a period of time, is under the direct, biological care of living being number 1, which is precisely one of the very vital things living being number 1's body was developed to do. My question to you, and I will ask you to go back and read the whole post again so you will have the correct context, is which of those two living beings had a choice in the situation. I can understand why using the word 'more' may have been confusing to you, because only one of those living beings had a choice in the matter, so 'more' is not appropriate. My question to you, is which one of those two living beings had the choice, to perform the action, that created the other living being. And I'll ask you to just simply answer the question, without telling me what I am thinking, what angle I'm trying play by asking the question, or any other movement of the goal posts that make you feel more comfortable. Please, just simply answer the question. That is kind of a big thing to you....right?

  22. Unfortunately, the number of medals is not the most important criteria for the IOC. They are focused on limiting the number of athletes. Three more weight classes in men's free style is ~ 60 more athletes. This is not what the IOC wants. Wrestling (and a few other sports) get tossed a bone with two bronzes to "make up" for the fewer weight classes. What the IOC wants is more medal events, but fewer overall competitors. Hence the mixed relays in track and field and swimming, for example. Most of those athletes were already at the games for their main event so they can "easily" add the extra event. More events, more finals, more winners, more television moments, but less athletes.

  24. Isn't it funny how some on here defended Biden and his age and mental capacity, but once he steps down they turn around and start attacking Trump for the very same things, even though, while an idiot at times, has shown zero equivalence in terms of mental decline that Biden has. Cracks me up

  27. We should have nothing to do with this country. Netanyahoo is a psychopath with no regard for the lives of innocent civilians. The barbarism would be much, much worse if he wasn't under international pressure to keep his eye on military targets. We should tell Israel that they are on their own. If their people want to move to the U.S., go ahead. but we will not support their genocide and barbarism any longer. We made a mistake by designating this land to a specific religion/ethnicity in 1948 in the first place. It was a kneejerk over-reaction to the Holocaust. We made a mistake and should cut our losses ASAP. This region will NEVER have peace now (particularly since Israel has taken even more land by force than was originally given to them in 1948) without a two state solution (that is proportional to the original populations in that area in 1948) or a complete elimination of the Jews or Arabs (that would be the most horrible) in that region.

His historically informed sociological analysis concluded that civilizational collapse is presaged by a dissolution of families, as well as by a loosening of sexual mores, and a rise in both androgyny and homosexuality.” https://europeanconservative.com/articles/commentary/a-civilizational-suicide-note-on-the-seine/

  39. So the far right protests are in the wrong and the Israeli government is doing the right thing in investigating the alleged abuse. I'm not sure what you are trying to prove. The U.S. has had cases of abuse of power in every war-something that separates us from terrorists (or the Russian military) is actually being opposed to it and investigating/prosecuting those who commit it. So if Israel is doing the same thing, that is a good thing.

  40. The team medals actually only count as 1 per medal type towards the total medals the IOC has set a hard number limit on. i.e. if the US Men’s Team wins a basketball gold that is only 1 gold medal towards the Olympic medal total. So I would the bigger hit is when the IOC has tons of events in a particular sport as mentioned above or when they add even more like the mixed gender relays they added to both swimming and track. Not to mention the random sports they get added hoping for more TV appeal. Or the sports where the athletes biggest prize is some other championship like NBA title, a PGA Open, a Tennis slam with some athletes even opt out of representing their country due to that. Then throw in the Equestrian events where only the ultra rich really participate and the horse does almost all the athletic work. Modern Pentathalon in a similar vein.

  45. I don't feel that anything is that surprising in Greco world, other than Lopez losing and an American winning gold. Russia's absence does make medaling easier. In MFS, all of them but Zain are solid Gold contenders but not favorites (besides Dake). But it's not like there is some Karelin like figure blocking a weight (I guess Taz could be that and we don't know it yet, but that's tbd). I guess the chance of all of them doing well as they could is bold?
