Maybe because it is a state institution they have to follow certain procedures to fill a position?6 points

Maybe he's moving for safety reasons. The Safety Manager where I worked gave the staff a presentation documenting that most serious car accidents occurred within a 25 mile radius of home. So, several of us sold our houses and moved.6 points

Can we assume that basically the entire roster shifts up a weight class or two for next season?5 points

How does anyone give what Minnow says any creditably? Let's think about. He wants us to believe: 1) the AD at Wisconsin has an open door policy and will just take meetings with club coaches of non revenue sports whenever asked? Ben isn't getting past the secretary who has no idea who he is and even if Ben has a direct line to the AD, that AD is managing 20 some sports and isn't taking the time out of his day for a bitch session. 2) That Ben scheduled this meeting to bad mouth Bono and then told it to enough people that Minnow got a hold of it? "Hey guys, I am going to Madison to trash Bono, go tell who ever you want" Minnow is just throwing stuff against the wall. Since Wisconsin hasn't fired Bono yet they probably don't plan to so why not make stuff up and hope people believe him. Kind of pathetic.5 points

I (and many other people) called this as the obvious move when Scott went from HC of UNC to an assistant at OK State. It made no sense unless he was promised the HC job soon.4 points

I would have gone, "I don't always lose, but when i do IT'S ALMOST ALWAYS TO THAT M******F***** KYLE DAKE AND WHAT MAKES IT WORSE IS THAT I HAVE TO PRETEND WE'RE FRIENDS UNTIL I BEAT HIM!"4 points

From his comments and actions he doesn't seem to be one that would like to have someone else as his boss. He's not one to do things by the book, which has lead to a lot of success, but he also is very vocal about rules/laws he thinks are "stupid." I don't see him as being one that will like living under constant scrutiny of following rules with recruiting, weight management, or the millions of other NCAA rules you have to follow. With him running his club he is in full control of everything, running a college program he will be regulated to NCAA and Wisconsin rules.4 points

Felician University In Bergen County is starting Men and Womens programs this upcoming season , they will be the only D2 program in the state A one time teammate of mine Dale Fava who spent some time at lock haven before becoming a multi time D3 qualifier for Del Val has been named head coach this week. Fava was the real deal back in the day and lost to Jordan Burroughs in OT in the state semifinals Burroughs senior yr , I also watched him pin Pat Mineo in under a minute once lol Fred Santaite a NJ state champ and multiple time NQ for Boston ( you may remember when he knocked off Nickerson the first night of ncaa many years ago ) has been named the assistant coach all and all great news, located in a very talent rich area and coached by local guys I would expect them to hit the ground running and am excited to see what the future holds.3 points

The US of A. The end of black enslavement in America. The removal of the wehrmacht from Western and Eastern Europe. I know those things are only about 250, 160, and 80 years old so it is kind of early to tell if they will last. But each was gotten when the good guys wielded not only the barrels of guns but also the high velocity projectiles emanating from the ends of those barrels. Asking the British parliament and monarchy, asking the slaveholders, and asking the wehrmacht to see the light was spectacularly unsuccessful. Maybe no one said the magic word. Please.3 points

what part of this is balls? Going into the transfer portal? Hill walked on at OU and beat out a highly recruited Wiley. So tell me what your expectations are for a walk on that took the starting position at OU? What if he earned a little bit of money and Kish took it away, what would you do?3 points

His point is the NIL era is significantly different than the era when they had to recruit utilizing the 9.9 scholarships allocated, which all of his transfers came in during that time, including McKenna. McKenna took over a portion of that 9.9, whereas the recruits now can simply be given a bag of cash from boosters. They haven't picked up a portal guy in the NIL era where the 9.9 essentially becomes unlimited if you have the funds. Pyles was comparing apples and oranges. I did think it was a good discussion though.2 points

I think 1983 Iowa and 1986 Iowa are right there with 1997 Iowa and 2024 PSU. Under the old placement point allocation 1986 Iowa had the most placement points of the 4 teams. Under the current placement point allocation 1983 Iowa had the most placement points. 1986 Iowa was very top heavy in that they only qualified 8, but had 6 finalists, 1-4th and 1-5th. The change to placement point allocation increased placement points for positions 3 and lower, so they didn't benefit as much. 1983 had 10 qualifiers and is the only team out of the 4 with 9AAs.2 points

I really like Christian I do think he fence sits way too much and think hes a bit preferential to the big two programs but hes media so I can't exactly hate on him for that. It just seemed like a very odd topic to take a stance on with Tom Ryan.2 points

Ben interviewed for the job when they gave it to Bono, McIntosh was involved with those interviews. Also both were WIAA state wrestling champions, McIntosh has known or know of Askren for many years.2 points

I was relieved to find out that 35 states now require students to take a personal finance course in order to graduate from high school. Now if we could just make it a requirement for ALL Government employees to take a personal finance course. Also take a basic economic course.2 points

It's like the perfect amount of whack job, conspiracy nut shit mixed with his usual brand of arrogance that makes you think "oh, this dude is totally insane!" It's nowhere near the worst from a Cornell grad though - that honor goes to Dylan Palacio.2 points

It is almost like if they (Hamas) agreed to peace, their funding might dry up... Can't have that happening! Too many huge bank accounts for their leaders living in places such as Qatar.2 points

Walked out of a athletes weight cutting session a day or two before Big 10 and did not return. Seems like it could have really let the team down, but they reacted by scoring a ton of points and they all seem to still have a pretty high opinion of Egeland. After "The Dual" was released this year, a lot of people started attacking Egeland online and Royce Alger really came to his defense.2 points

For me, Thanksgiving is a time for families and friends to come together, enjoy a meal, and express gratitude for the blessings in their lives. It's expected that everyone attending our Thanksgiving gathering participates in the tradition of giving thanks for at least one thing. Those who choose not to participate, except for say illness, would seem rude. I wouldn't know because everyone has always participated in the tradition. Losing my father at a young age put me in severe depression and I always managed to find something, however small, to be thankful for. Grattitude couples well with Personal Accountability... for emotional resilience, personal growth, and well-being. In my house we expect both!2 points

The IOC seems to have strayed just a bit from these motives... The IOC and the NCAA seem to inhabit the same aisle at this point. For any who are unaware, when you compete at the olympics for a country like, Russia, North Korea, or China, you place yourself under the thumb of the government for the rest of your life. The trade off is a potentially more comfortable life for you and your extended family, because everybody in your family tree gets taken care of, but you also are required to stand at attention and do as asked when asked. It is a tradeoff that these athletes make to improve the lives of their families domestically. They also, have no choice in the matter. Once they realize success, they also immediately forfeit the right to have an opinion of any kind (what little was allowed) other than whatever the government's is at the time. So, they can either say nothing, or, if they are hoping to get a little more money from the next olympic cycle, they can be more outspokenly patriotic like sidakov. But do them the human favor of realizing they have no choice at this point. Athletic success in these countries perches them at the edge of a very high cliff. The view is spectacular, but they are also one wrong word away from being pushed off that ledge, their families with them. So, they have no choice. They can say nothing, or be supportive of whatever the party line is at the time, but to do anything else is literal jail time if not suicide for them, and their families. This is not an exaggeration.2 points
