How is he NOT an upgrade to the roster at 165? Who on the roster do you expect to beat Fish out at 165 and qualify for NCAA next year? Why would he come in (and get paid to come in) if it was not already determined that he is going to be starting at 165?3 points

McCrone gave a good account of himself this season. I believe It's Kilkeary's spot to lose. Worried about Bouzakis' weight cut. Same with Mendez. I imagine he'll head up to 65kg after D'Emilio leaves. Gallagher at 157. Hepner at 165, but he needs some work. Not sure if we see Kharchla? I've heard things that make me question if he'll be back. Welsh, Rogotzke, Geog and Feldman. I believe if Shumate wants to wrestle he may have to transfer. I don't believe we see Sasso again.3 points

The National Anthem is not about the military. I am very uncomfortable with the idea that the National Anthem is about them. By the way, I am retired military so maybe I should say us. The National Anthem is about the United States of America. Whenever I am announcing at an event and the script says anything like " . . . rise as we play . . . to honor those who fought and died . . . " I do not like it. Memorial Day is for that purpose. The National Anthem is a time for us to rise and to acknowledge and honor what brings us together. And, maybe to ponder whether the second question in the lyrics is still true. But it is NOT to honor the military. The military is here for and about the country. Not the other way around. IMHO2 points

Wow...you are dense. Biological males should not be in the bathroom with biological females and vice versa....this isn't because people hate trans, it's because it is simple science and, the two words you can't stand, common sense. The fix is to make sure there is at least one bathroom that is unisex and is one stall, and the door can be locked...problem solved. That is what my work did...no problems whatsoever...simple and easy.2 points

Except when being louder isn't the goal... Let's hope words perform better than actions when it comes to the US Military. Peace is always a better option.2 points

I wasn't a killer - that's why I was in his 2nd class, although I was also recruited by the other Ivies as well as Michigan (man, that was a fun visit), Syracuse and Rutgers, as well as other schools. Roger was hired at 26 after Penn tried to drop the program. By the time my class graduated (1993), we were getting votes in the Top 25. In 1996, Penn won the first of four straight EIWA team titles. Honestly, I'm not sure why I'm responding to you or Three Point Takedown - your responses have repeatedly demonstrated you have no freaking idea what you are talking about. Good day.2 points

These two have the capability to elevate a school to the level that they could actually contend with Cael as a team in the next ten years. I doubt it happens, but if both were to end up at Oklahoma state, for example, they could actually push the likes of PJ Duke, Lilledahl, Sealey, Ryder, the Mirasola’s etc from a tournament perspective. Would be fun and good, imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

My biggest gripe with flo is that they have constant typos- I’ll proofread while at work for $15 an hour, if anyone at flo cares about grammar punctuation and sentence structure.2 points

why has this become a political thread, nobodies changing anyones perception that they've already made up and thats a beautiful thing that you may form your own thoughts on the matter.1 point

Nico vs blaze is a really fun match I think. I know Nico kinda smoked Lilledahl but I think blaze is a bit more physically mature and better in ties positionally right now( not saying hes better than Luke) so I think he will be a tougher matchup for Nico specifically.1 point

If you wanna tweet something stupid, you wouldn’t be the first. But to constantly double down is so stupid, I was surprised they were willing to go in this podcast (which is huge) to basically explain how stupid they are and that they didn’t learn anything from this experience.1 point

I was leaning more towards one of the most dominant wrestlers ever and have a very good shot at making it to the Olympics as well as being a great ambassador for the sport despite having adults criticize him since he was a child. Simply a matter of perspective though.1 point

This thread is TLDR... That said, I thought that I should chime in insofar as the current state, post-tournament. My opinion, again I haven't even read the subject, just the thread title - but there is far too much racism going rampant in today's women's basketball for us to strive to be anything like them. We already have enough Anthony Noto characters running amok.1 point

Well I think College Westling has to be more like Freestyle. Adopt the out/push out and 30 second clock. I think that might be more appealing to the casual fan.1 point

Even prior to the final sequence that I think was certainly a takedown the ref blew two likely takedowns dead because of cautions. Obviously the event taking place in Azerbaijan and it being a wrestler from that nation makes things even murkier.1 point

My son won his state quarters, scoring two sets of nearfall in the third period to get the win. 30 minutes later, I see my father in law moping around talking about how "he could have had him." It took me a couple of minutes to realize that grandpa had no clue that the boy had won by 3! He thought he had lost because he didn't get the fall.1 point

Yes. My point being that being an undefeated 4x national champ is an insane expectation1 point

Another genius comments on the climate. Sunny Hostin from The View: HOSTIN: “. . . We got a solar eclipse. We’ve got an earthquake . . . Also, I learned that the cica-ah-das are coming. . . . All those things together, would maybe lead one to believe that either climate change exists, or something is really going on.” I really resent that someone like this gets to vote and thereby cancel the vote of people who really know things. SUVs and cow farts caused the eclipse. And it's racist. And her slave owning forefathers can attest to that.1 point

Back in my day, a 5am meant you were at the workout location, warmed up and ready to go, no monkey business. Hopefully young Mr Basset is doing a workout in his bedroom. God also told me he appreciates humility and while he isn’t bothered, also doesn’t think waking early glorifies him anymore than a good nights sleep1 point

Nate is fantastic. Just a great guy and a great teacher. Fantastic technique, especially his duck series. You can see a lot of Nate Carr in Kurt Angle and Cary Kolat.1 point

He is what he is. Like him or hate him, Minnow is a fixture in today's world that is driven by social media buzz. A sissy? Yes. Will he delete 40% of his shit and say he was joking about the other 40%? Also yes. Minnow is Minnow and he adds entertaibment value.1 point

Mirasola is going to be training with Cael Sanderson, David Taylor, Jake Varner, Kyle Snyder and Aaron Brooks. I’d put a lot of money on him winning that match at 197. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

yeah he's def an impressive young man, and also you can totally see the Penn State official media training at work here the way he keeps hitting his prepared points over and over, "wrestle with heart," "not tied to winning or losing," etc. He was gonna give these answers regardless of the question. Reminds me of the scene in Bull Durham when Nuke finally makes the big leagues and he gives a million different variations of "I just want to help the team." Nothing against MM at all, he's obviously a great kid and wrestler, but I'll take a Thomas Gilman or Austin DeSanto on the mic everyday.1 point
