I attended Clemson’s Women Gymnastics first ever home meet Friday. College wrestling programs can learn something from how the Tigers promoted their women’s gymnastics team. They plastered social media with videos and info about their athletes. Their coach was charismatic and generated a ton of energy and excitement for fans. They made it a fun event and the athletes spent much time in the lobby afterwards taking pictures and signing autographs for hundreds of excited future gymnasts. End result was over 8,000 in attendance. I initially went to take my daughter who is 9 and has participated in gymnastics for 5 years, but I left searching for season tickets for my family. Wrestling can do this too.

I don't know the answers to your smart-alec questions here but IF Little Rock does, in fact, beat Arizona State next Friday it would be the first time they have beaten a PAC 12 wrestling team that isn't named Cal State University at Bakersfield. Little Rock has beaten CSUB twice in the 4 1/2 years since they started their wrestling team. But CSUB is the ONLY PAC 12 wrestling team that Little Rock has defeated in those 4 1/2 years.

Yeah, I was in attendance last night and even as a Pitt fan I have to say it was pretty much of a beatdown. Too bad, too, since it looked like a sell-out of the Fieldhouse, but they didn't have much to cheer about. Augustine won in OT by riding out on top for the first thirty seconds, then got his escape on bottom. Stout looked good in his match with an evenly ranked wrestler - was the aggressor for most of the match and survived some good scrambles. And I agree with @wrestle87 that Pitzer probably could/should have won his match. Although the OkieState heavy surprised me (and maybe Pitzer too) by hitting a roll midway through the match. The lightweights got torched. Some of the Pitt wrestlers gave up 3 or 4 ankle picks/low singles in one match. Lots of video to review there to get better. Sunday's home dual against Iowa State looks to be more of the same, except no one will be there because the Steelers's playoff game against the Bills is on TV at the same time.

This is a great series and opened my eyes to life in Iran, It kind of blew away some of the stereotypes pushed by US media.

They are lovely people and fond of Americans which I didn't expect. Saudi Arabia is also a good series. The money is crazy and the cities are beautiful.
