Another way to incentivize scoring in the first period. If no score then it would go to coin flip or fall back to odd or even matches. Thoughts or stupic idea?5 points

1988 Olympic Champion, 62 kilograms NCAA 134-pound Champion Big Eight 134-pound Champion I love Snyder, but pick either year of the above and I wont argue. Although. From Wiki. I know. Spare yourself (and me) the response... After returning to Ohio State and winning his second consecutive NCAA heavyweight title at the end of an undefeated 2016–2017 wrestling season, Snyder would avenge his loss to Gadson in the finals of America's 2017 World Team Trials, sweeping him with two straight tech-falls and a cumulative score of 23–2. He would then face another historic bout in the finals of the 2017 Paris World Championships: with Russia and the U.S. tied for first place at 53 points each, Snyder stepped onto the mat for "The Match of the Century" – the team championship, an individual title at 97 kg, and two young legacies were on the line. His opponent was Abdulrashid Sadulaev, a young Russian phenom on a three-year undefeated streak that included two World Championships as well as an Olympic gold, who was then considered the best pound-for-pound wrestler in the world.5 points

The wrestlers who out performed their seed by at least 10 spots is heavy in the past 4 years when everyone was seeded, but here is that list anyway. There are also a few from the 16 seed era on the list. Killian Cardinale is clearly the most under rated wrestler of all time. In the 12 seed era (1979 - 2013) only one wrestler outperformed his seed by double digits. Edinboro's Jarrod King won 165 as the 12 seed in 2009. Also in the 12 seed era unseeded wrestlers made the final 9 times, winning twice.4 points

Andy Daniels1978 118 lbs Ohio University. Unseeded . He beat Gene Mills 15 to 7 in semi's. Then beat John Azevedo by pin in the finals to finish 1st. In Ohio if I remember correctly, he was a one-time state placer 6th his Senior year at 98 lbs. Pretty remarkable career.3 points

Are you sure? Middle aged people: I’m in South Florida. We can take a cruise along the tamiami trail, stop at the Native American reservation, talk to some of the elders about their experience in being privileged. Able bodied: okay so I guess most African Americans are now privileged, as long as they can walk and lift ten ponds over their head? English speaking: I know many a people from other countries, have busted their ass, and learned English, to come to America. Let’s talk to them too about their privilege. Middle class or ‘owning’ people: How many people have started with nothing, very little opportunity (relatively speaking) and worked their way into a nice, comfortable middle class life?3 points

How long will it take before the millionaires and billionaires to pack up and leave. I believe I read that even if you leave they can still keep taxing you. Is that even legal? What is your thoughts.2 points

We need an Ncaa Wrestling video game. We could simulate those matches. No as good as the real thing, but easier to make than a time machine.2 points

In 1978, Lee Kemp was an undefeated NCAA champ and world champ. In 1999, Stephen Neal was an NCAA champ, Hodge winner, world champ, and FILA Outstanding Wrestler Award winner. In 2011, JB was an NCAA champ, Hodge winner, and world champ.2 points

alex, first of all, you responded with an immediate assessment of the RT proposal, which indicated to me that you obviously had a well thought out logic that you could expound on to explain your presumptions, which I would happily respond back to. Secondly, starting a sentence with "Bro chill" does not lend itself to having a productive dialogue...at least to me it doesn't. Because I may have a different perspective certainly doesn't mean I am somehow "out of control," " angry," or "losing it," (quotes are mine) which "Bro chill" implies. I would suggest that you and 103 go back and read my other posts regarding riding/stalling, and if those aren't comprehensive enough I will be happy to present more detail. So with that, I look forward to your position that it would "mean more stalemate calls with neither top or bottom wrestler progressing," since most of my position is already on here. Pat...2 points

Can't argue the part where they are going top take context out of his testimony and use it for lies and click bait. Also can't argue Jim Jordan and other MAGAns refused the same subpoenas. Additionally, can't argue MTG's obsession with his penis is totally unbecoming Congress.2 points

Who are some names throughout history that were up and down or unfavorable for All-America honors during the season that ended up catching fire at the right time and making deep runs in the NCAA tournament?1 point

Using the match by match data from 1988 to 2021 and then adjusting for expected increases in bonus points given the three point takedown, I finally got around to working up bonus point estimates by seed. So now I can estimate total team scores rather than just advancement and placement. Of course there will be variation, but let's not let that stop us from making a fool of ourselves. I know some people thought PSU had a shot at the total points record this year, but boy is that looking unlikely at this point. And even with Van Ness it was looking improbable. Using the latest round of rankings from Intermat and the new estimates we get the following scores out to 20 places: While the team race is not exactly close, it is also not quite the blowout it was expected before the season started when PSU was favored to more than double second place. To reach 170.5 (the record adjusted for current scoring methods) PSU will need Braeden Davis (currently not ranked at 125) to make a big splash AND to significantly outperform their seeds (they often do) AND score a lot more bonus points than normal (not really this version of PSU's especiality). Call me skeptical. A 49 point gap is just too big. It feels like there are 9 or 10 (I see you anOSU) teams with a realistic shot at the podium. That should make it one of the more exciting tournaments in a long time.1 point

The Huskers laid an absolute egg. Iowa wrestled well, but not out of this world well. Glazier was their MVP tonight, followed by Hill and Franek.1 point

Well, you just made it a very simple issue. Right now we have a free for all. You don't want that. Why don't you want that? What are you reasons for being against a free for all that we now have? Why would it be bad to have a free for all? Even those that come that are beyond what you call necessary want the American Dream. Are you saying you don't want them to have the American dream? You accused me of it and now you are doing the same thing. Boy, funny how it turns back on you isn't it. mspart1 point

65 is deeper at Pan Ams than the last quad and with no repchage/wrestleback it is a dangerous proposition. Austin Gomez is an absolute wild card and can have anyone counting the lights in the gym as quickly as he can be teched. Destribats has proven himself to be a gamer on the world scene. The USA rep is the favorite no doubt but we should absolutely not be counting our eggs before they hatch.1 point
