  1. Way back when, for Christmas we bought our older daughter one of those blow-up clown punching bags with the weighted bottom. She not only punched it, she tackled it, kicked it, and sat on it and bounced up and down. My wife and I laughed and laughed. I think she was 2. She outgrew it in about a week.

  2. I always envisioned him coming home from a hard days work at the cement factory, kicking off his boots, sitting in his lazy boy with his Blue Heeler dog and watching some flo with a pizza and a beer..... but no, it's a townhouse in LA. I was WAYYYYY off.

  5. Appreciate the defense, but I don't mind. haha@Husker_Du - I assume that was rhetorical banter, but if not: former wrestler (not good enough for you to have heard of) turned wrestling fan as adult. Got introduced to the sport because I lived walking distance from Parkland High School (Allentown, PA) when I was seven (1992) and until I was twelve and wrestled on their elementary team in VEWL. Was a very big part of my life as a kid. Didn't really get too deeply into it as a fan until the last couple of years (around 2020). Moved around a lot to places that don't appreciate wrestling which also has made it difficult to keep track. As far as living in LA, it wouldn't have been my first choice, but I've come to appreciate it (weather helps) after coming here for work.

  8. Minnow currently running a hit campaign on Alvarez ,trying to be Goodales full time propagandist…saw on his twitter that allegedly Alvarez missed weight 10 plus times which doesn’t seem correct, also after 3 times thats probably on the coaches and apparently he “cost Rutgers valuable post season points” which idk what the hell that means ..like did Rutgers finish 9th in the big 10 instead of 8th? Or 27th at ncaas instead of 25th? Valuable postseason team points lmao I had to take a picture of the thread it’s so amusing either way if you have an athlete miss weight 10x you are a s**t coach bc it’s obviously after 3/4 times that the athlete shouldn’t even be attempting it …what do you even say as a coaching staff after the 7th time “ don’t worry Sammy you’ll make it this time , just another 2 hrs in the sauna and keep spiting”

  11. This is a very fair criticism given my location. However I only really would do one IPA at a time. Not a fan of drinking hoppy stuff. I used to drink room temp session ales at British pubs when lived there before here. Now I rotate my house beer between Coors Banquet and Bud Heavy. When I'm within the distribution territory of Yuengling, I go with those.

  13. Starocci aside, I'm surprised to see so many guys putting Foca in the same tier as Labs and Lewis. Lewis is a NCAA champion and 2x finalist. Labriola is 3x AA, unbeaten this year with a win over Lewis. Foca? He's a 0x AA with only one win in his *career* over a top 10 guy (ranked #8). He's a solid wrestler and may well AA this year, but jeez, lets let him get on the podium at least once before we start putting him in the same "tier" as NCAA champs.

  29. He says he missed weight at NCAAs and I assume he means 2021 but he never even wrestled in conference that year so he didn’t qualify anyway. They did miss tenth by 7.5 points so if he had a decent tournament then yes, it’s possible they could’ve finished in the top ten. But since he was declared out way before that, you can’t really put the blame on him. Now Mike Van Brill going nuts at Big Tens for third before going 0-2 at Nationals, that hurt.

  45. Gotta love the threat of no longer being on the team when you struggle to cut an unhealthy amount of weight. At some point, the coaches should tell a kid like this they have to bump up and take their chances at a higher weight. It may leave a hole in the lineup, but reducing health risks to these kids is more important.
