  3. Why do people constantly create threads about topics, so they can be discussed, but not follow through on the "rumors" when people ask to know why this might be the case? You're curious enough to ask and/or participate, but not curious enough to put the information out on the wire that you heard from a dude who heard from another dude who heard from his friend at the deli. We all know lots of it tends to be played up or exaggerated, so if you make the thread and you have the info, at least be decent enough to provide the full context, instead of just leaving an "Ooooh, look, did you hear thing about person in place? Bc I heard person from other place said different thing about same person, and with a slightly different context..."

  4. It really does suck how people have tried to make this about Beau's wife when he's literally out there putting his name on things. It's not like she's talking and he's staying silent, they're BOTH talking, she's supporting him.

  5. This is great news. His body just needs to not reject the new lungs. Great news for Ben. Best wishes for his recovery. It is an amazing thing that lungs can be transplanted. This was not possible just a few decades ago. mspart

  6. "but hopefully he will wait until the drugs wear off" It is amazing she can maintain her sense of humor through such difficult times. Ben is a lucky man.

  7. It really feels like the reason they go after the wife, is because the they are either too chicken___ to say similar things about Beau or because acknowledging he might have a legitimate complaint might mean Cael//PSU are not perfect.

  9. **Penn State Wrestlin’ Press Holler** *From the Holler of Coach Cael Sanderson, aka The Kentucky Mudflap* *June 30, 2025* Well, howdy, wrestlin’ kinfolk! This here’s Cael Sanderson, slingin’ some truth from the Penn State mats, where the gossip’s been thicker’n a hog waller after a rainstorm. The last few weeks, folks been yammerin’ louder than a rooster at dawn ‘bout our program, but lemme tell ya, we ain’t sweatin’ it no more’n a possum in a shade tree. We done had some off-mat ruckus, sure, but we’re tougher’n a two-dollar steak and meaner’n a junkyard dawg. Our boys are fixin’ to turn this mess around quicker’n you can say “double-leg takedown.” We’re handlin’ the noise like we handle them 197-pounders—pin it, win it, done it. So, quit yer bellyachin’ and get ready for us to storm back to the top, leavin’ opponents flatter’n a pancake on a griddle. We’re Penn State, dadgummit, and we’ll be slingin’ gold medals while the haters are still chewin’ their tobacco! Keep it rowdy, Cael “The Kentucky Mudflap” Sanderson Head Honcho, Penn State Wrestlin’ *Proudly kickin’ tail and takin’ names since forever*

  10. Sadly, I hope he gets the help he needs. That said, Michigan makes sense as well. Cox as praised Kevin Jackson in his ability to not just lead and coach, but to be there for him when he needed him the most - every time.

  25. This was what seemed like a pretty informed comment from on3 BWI talking about exactly this: "My dad is a post-op lung transplant coordinator for a hospital up in MA. From what he’s told me, the first year is filled with ups and downs. Rejection of the transplant is not uncommon, but it’s just one of many fluctuations that can/may happen. Ben’s got a long road ahead of him so don’t be surprised if there are periodic stories of complications. As my dad puts it: He’s a tortoise training for a marathon. His transplant coordinator will be following him the rest of his life to check in and monitor everything. Don’t be surprised if you see Ben at less tournaments and/or wearing a mask in public. He’s going to have to be extra careful about what germs and such he’s exposed to from here on out."

  26. I read up on life after a transplant. Not an easy road going forward. Like any transplant, rejection issues and what not. Ben will show the medical world what can be done and exceed expectations. I think this leads him to be a college coach and get nice health insurance and benefits.

  27. Lets remember the history. Trump told canada that the digital tax was a no go. Canada said we are doing it. Trump said we are done talking. Canada eliminates the digital tax. You know you are losing big time when you adversary caves to you? Is that what you are trying to say here? mspart

  29. Nailed it. Mocco is a fun one. He has to be the answer to another trivia question. Who is the only wrestler to wrestle exactly to his seed every year? Twice as a #2 seed he finished second, twice as a #1 seed he won it all. Now I need to check if there are any others.

  32. The last one was tough...but like a true underdog, I pushed through and wasn't going to be denied (the hints helped)! Verlyn Strellner, Iowa, 1969. Beat Ed Bannat (8) from Navy in R1, Charles Shivers (1) Oklahoma in Quarters, Lost to Chuck Jean (4), Iowa State in Semis. Verlyn then managed to avoid the let down on the front side and Proceeded to beat John Sorchinsky (5) from BYU in the consi semis. Wrapping up his 3rd place finish, he beat Ken Bos (2) from Cal Poly. Quite a run! I love this kind of trivia, and a lot of these names I haven't heard in a long time, so it's nostalgic . . . but it took up 2 hours of my weekend/morning!

  35. When Tyson came out in the 1st round, you could see the surprise and terror in Jake's eyes after he got tagged a few times. He ran away and Tyson couldn't or wouldn't really pursue. When I saw that I thought Jake was in real trouble. But Tyson, backed way off. He came hard the first few seconds of each round but then backed off. mspart

  36. Hate to say it but I saw this coming back in 2018. We were at World Championships in Budapest heading to our hotel from the event about 10pm and saw Aaron Brooks ahead of us. At that time, he had committed to PSU but was still out in Colorado Springs. He jumped the turnstile to the Subway without paying (when he thought nobody was watching). I turned to my brother and said, "Now there's a dude who will have no problem using PEDs." For the record, we would have jumped it too, but our fat a$$es would have ended up on an Insta bloopers reel so we paid.

  37. Great choice. We are half way there. Perry beat #1 Troy Letters in the 2005 semis before falling to Johnny Hendricks in the final. But he avenged that lose two years later by taking out #1 Hendricks in the 2007 final. His third victory over a #1 seed came the next year when he beat Eric Tannenbaum in the final. Joseph took out the same #1 (Martinez) two years in a row in the final. Sadly he was denied the chance for a third in 2020 when he was the #2 seed. Lets call him an honorary member of the group (after all Marinelli was the #1 seed. I'm not sayin'. I'm just sayin'.)

  41. I say forgive him then. I once took what I thought was storoids, but it turned out it was full blown steroids. Crazy. I was so close to making the Olympic team. I know they said I have to be careful what I put in my body. My lawyer said it was an honest mistake and you know….. My coach is super humble awesome and a legend. He was also a world renowned Buddhist. Don’t know why that matters but it does. I was so mad when they didn’t believe me.

  48. USA Wrestling should make this announcement by tomorrow (Friday) based on when it has been announced in the past vs when decisions had to be in. Usually has been decisions by senior national team due on a Monday with announcement following that Friday. This way they have time to ask #2, 3 or even 4 now in the pecking order. I think we will see: 57kg LL - would attempt to become the first american male wrestler to win gold in all 3 U17-U20-U23 age levels. If Penn St decides not to send guys to U23 due to it being during start of college season, then Nico Provo next up. 61kg Jax Forrest - kid seems to want to wrestle in everything. He is entered in to the ranking series with only a couple of days between his series with Vito and that. Speaking of which, this delay makes this decision much more difficult as he clearly does not know if he made the senior team yet. If he turns down I think Blaze will too in which it will go to Nic Bouzakis. 65kg Vince Cornella- doubt Blaze takes this, he likely focuses on U20s. Cornella did make a U20 team a few years back taking 5th. 70kg PJ Duke - he had shown a strong desire to do all 3 we will see if Penn St coaches give him the . If he is a no then Josh Edmond gets the nod 74kg MM -took a bronze last year, lost to the guy Japan had slotted in their senior team this year. He may be a little beat up now but U23s almost 4 full months away. 79kg Dean Hamiti- I don’t see Levi accepting this with him being on senior team and his senior season coming up. I don’t picture Hamiti not taking the spot, why would he not? If not him than Simon Ruiz will. 86kg Rocco Welsh is the guy 92kg Barr - if Penn St sends guys then Barr will be there. It not then Aeoden Sinclair will go. 97kg Grand Valley kid with very long name is the guy 125- Daniel Herrera is the guy
