Does she get the equivalent of a VIP credential for being a participant? I'd get tech'd twice in under a minute for a lanyard that lets me roam around matside for the rest of the tournament....probably wouldn't cut weight though, need to be at full strength5 points

Yeah I wonder what a good Tennessee jury will say regarding trafficking minor children even if he was hired to do it. Maybe rv will be on the defense team.2 points

You’re on a list. I would bet on that. Also your hero dip shyte got arrested. Also reports he is wanted for murder in El Salvador2 points

This is quite the comedic masterpiece. Granted, I skipped through it in about 5 minutes. The camera work and video editing is actually really well done which makes it even funnier. She's stressing about being 2 pounds over the day before weigh-ins.. her running in a leather jacket and leggings to "lose the weight." Her doing her best Louden Swain impression by doing burpees in the casino and squats in the elevator (make every second count!) and then she gets teched 10 immediately, and then the description of her second match was "she lasted twice as long." The fact that Ms. Berrington spent the time and resources to make this 20 minute documentary that results in her getting teched twice in an uncompetitive fashion is absolutely hilarious. What's the thought process here? I know nothing about her or her story, but consider me a fan.2 points

And I don't think she realizes that she is terrible at wrestling. She really pushes that she trains hard, with an underwear wrestling model who looks like her plastic surgeon had a bad combination of Cerebral Palsy and Tourettes, and is somehow a secret ninja badass for some reason. Yet she just has never gotten over that hurdle that would let her win, or score a point in a match, or be anything other than a tiny speed bump for whoever she faces at the open. The thing is, she has to sell the delusion in order to keep conning people out of money to finance her vacations to Vegas. Most people don't know about wrestling, so when she doesn't come back with anything, she just says that she got beaten by a World Champion, and the gullible idiots who pay her bills, think "Well a world champion would beat almost everyone. Here's more free money!" Because they don't know the difference between getting blasted by Velte or some random high school or college wrestler.2 points

The human brain contains about 86 billion neurons. Each neuron can form up to 10,000 connections with others, creating a network of roughly 860 trillion synaptic connections. This complexity allows your brain to process and store information in ways that make it more powerful than any supercomputer, yet it weighs only about 3 pounds and runs on roughly 20 watts of power... less than a light bulb. What is the fattiest organ in your body? ...the brain at 60%.2 points

Wrestlestat ratings, brotha - not rankings. It goes off all the results, not just the last tournament (which should probably be factored in, I agree). Also, Kasak destroyed Taylor twice last season. Destroyed. Whereas Taylor lost to Blaze, Kasak, Kasak, and Askey. Again: Ratings, not rankings, determined by a formula taking all results in to account. Sinclair is currently 'ranked' at 197 on Wrestlestat, that is why he isn't there. Also add in that he had two Major Decision losses (Plott, #5@184 and Buchanan, #1@197lbs) and two regular decision losses (Volker, 12@197 and Smith, #23@197), and his rating is only good for 1517.39 on Wrestlestat's Elo system. That is good enough for #8 at 197lbs and #9 at 184lbs. In media rankings wrestlers will get a pass on some losses, especially as the season progresses. That doesn't happen with wrestlestat's ratings system. Unfortunately, a loss to Smith in November is just as damning as a loss to Smith in February. As far as McEnelly? He had a lot of close wins. Those don't help when using a computer program that factors in margin of victory (a 4-1 OT victory of Bullock, for example). Ferrari's close matches were to Plott (victory) and Starocci.2 points

I think the fact that Trump fired a prosecutor who refused to charge Maxwell and the replacement arrested Maxwell immediately is probably a good sign that he isn't concerned.2 points

https://filmshortage.com/dailyshortpicks/takedown/ If you have about 20 minutes to kill here it is. She loves the attention of how poor an athlete she is. Notable highlights are her "coach" congratulating her on not getting pinned or losing by tech fall in 20 seconds and her relentless self aggrandizing self promotion which takes up about 3/4 of it.1 point

My mistake. 100% my mistake. I was responding to too many of the online attacks too quickly and wasn't paying as much attention as I should have. I was wrong. My apologies.1 point

I think it's hilarious that they're at each other's throats now. It's unfortunate that Trump is president though.1 point

Let this sink in. Trump wants to increase the deficit in order to give the wealthiest people tax cuts. (The people that don't need them and already have more money than they can spend.) It only takes 3rd grade level logic to see how astoundingly wrong this is. Now we just need the Senate to dig deep and match 3rd grade logic long enough to ditch this big fat crooked bill.1 point

Exactly. Not a riot, not a raid... it was a "criminal investigation" using search warrants to collect information. As was done in other locations the same day. The problem was that misinformation was abundant, and the neighborhood residents are not very trusting due to recent historical events. When military level vehicles rolled into their neighborhood, with masked agents in camo fatigues carrying assault weapons. (ICE agents also there.) The residents naturally started to prepare for the worst. As I've already posted - investigations can take the entire situation into account and can be done quickly, quietly and professionally. Or they can roll in "military style" with big camo trucks and scary looking guys in fatigues with guns as an intimidation tactic. And make a big unnecessary show of power. That just takes the problem from 1 to 10. These folks weren't going to be intimidated in their own neighborhood. Nor should they be. Nor should anybody in their own neighborhood. All of you and myself included.1 point

Ok but 1) this seems to be more talking about denying entry than booting people already here. And 2) it calls out “in certain instances” when talking about family members1 point

That is a good honest question. I would say, they could for cause at any time. Is this porper cause? If this guy is defined to be a terrorist, then I suppose they could have their visas revoked (as they have been) as being family of a terrorist, which as has been pointed out is not per the law. So if he is deemed to be a terrorist, the family could have their visas revoked (which has happened) and they could be deported. But I think first he needs to be deemed a terrorist for all of this to follow. I don't know if that has happened. mspart1 point

Do any of the MAGA types on this board think the family should be denied due process?1 point

Couple side notes: Federal judge has temporarily blocked the deportation of the family pending hearings. While the attacker was on an expired visa, the mother and children were legal. The oldest just graduated high school three days before the attack, and won a "Best and Brightest" scholarship which she intends to use in medical school. According to reports the wife has fully cooperated.1 point
-
No. Although they might have a decent legal argument if they (the children in particular) can show they had no knowledge of the attack. Mostly just pointing out that before the attack occurred they (the family, not the attacker) were here illegally.1 point
-
Yeah, they were revoked after the attack. Which means they were valid prior to that.1 point

Incorrect, just the attacker was. https://www.foxnews.com/us/family-boulder-firebombing-suspect-taken-federal-custody-sources1 point

I've posted it once on the forum before, but will reiterate what I think the Mineo "problem" really is: He never accomplished anything beyond a pretty solid high school career and just can't move past that. So instead, he chooses to attach himself to any current stars in the sport and see which ones will stick with him. These relationships exist almost solely on a one-sided, transactional level where Pat can use the relationship to get (pretty dubious) "insider info" and boost his profile as a "trusted source in the sport of wrestling." Of course, that leads to further inflation of an already inflated ego that has not mentally moved past high school and results in the myriad of tirades. Freaking out on Kasak's mom for an apology because she asked him to remove posts about her son, turning on Dean Peterson because he was upset with his Iowa commitment getting leaked early, damn near doxxing a woman because she did not believe in AJ's second chance story; the list goes on. It does not matter what is ethically wrong or right to Pat because all he wants at the end of the day is the boost to his own image. I bet if the Ferrari family came out denouncing Pat's posts about AJ, he would not hesitate to start posting "AJ is a r*pist" rhetoric. In short, he is a leech. I would love if someone pushed him off the side of the highest peak in the Delaware Water Gap.1 point

Why would I need to admit he never said regret when I never said he said regret? This really is not the "aha" you were planning was it? But as long as we are parsing words, the definition of regret is - feel sad, repentant, or disappointed over (something that has happened or been done, especially a loss or missed opportunity). In his CBS Morning News interview Musk said he was disappointed with the budget bill and that it undermined his work at DOGE. So stop with the he never said... And yes, I think someone who uses "just can't stand it anymore", "massive", "outrageous", "pork-filled", "disgusting", "abomination", "shame", and "wrong" in a three sentence message is expressing his disappointment and regret. Then to follow it up with "In November next year, we will fire all politicians who betrayed the American people" drives that message home. Those are not the words of someone who is happy with his time spent among politicians. And forget about your hypothetical. I do not hate Elon Musk. Just because I do not fawn over him, you and others jump to an incorrect conclusion (or as you like to call it the hypothetical in your brain). I am, however, very wary of Elon Musk, along with Peter Thiel, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Alex Karp (especially Alex Karp), the US government (check out the deal they are doing with Palantir), the Chinese government, the Russian government, and everyone else trying to monopolize personally identifiable data to weaponize it against me (or even just to sell me crap). It is the reason that I do not have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, or log into Google, or turn on my location on my phone any more than I need to, etc.1 point
