I do not remember if it was Ryan Day or Marcus Freeman who said in a post-game interview that growing up a coach told him the other team prays too. I got a chuckle out of that. It reminded me of the old joke my dad loved to tell. A priest and a gambler are at a boxing match. Before the start of the match one of the boxers performs the sign of the cross. The gambler, looking for any edge he can use, turns to the priest and asks, "will that help him father?" The priest replies, "not a damn if he can't box."3 points

I don't know that I could change your mind, as it may just be a difference of opinion. A dual tournament is just more team centric, in my opinion, than an individual tournament. In duals you win as a team, and lose as a team. Even if you do well as an individual, you can only advance as far as the rest of your team. I always felt like a team during duals and a team of individuals in a tournament (if that makes any sense). I don't know if this made what I am trying to say any clearer or not, but I tried.2 points

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transcript-trump-inauguration-speech-2025/ We have a government that has given unlimited funding to the defense of foreign borders but refuses to defend American borders, or more importantly, its own people. Our country can no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency, as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina, who've been treated so badly. And other states who are still suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago. Or more recently, Los Angeles, where we are watching fires still tragically burn from weeks ago without even a token of defense. To the Black and Hispanic communities, I want to thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and trust that you have shown me with your vote. We set records, and I will not forget it. I've heard your voices in the campaign, and I look forward to working with you in the years to come. Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal and we will revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our auto industry and keeping my sacred pledge to our great American autoworkers. After years and years of illegal and unconstitutional federal efforts to restrict free expression, I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America. This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life. Just to provide a few from his inaugural address. mspart2 points

Yup. For grins, I just checked out the thread about Brooks “no false prophets, no Muhammad” comments and sure enough @Scouts Honor was one of the primary defenders of Brooks. Funny enough he seemingly made several of those comments in defense of Brooks before even listening to the interview, and was conflating people being upset with Brooks’ comments specifically (where comments like that are not normal across other sports), and just thanking God/Jesus in general.2 points

True.lol But imagine (if it's possible, idk) if you could give that prize money to your athletes. Cael come's into the practice room in July "Hey everyone we're going to go down to Tulsa, OK wrestle 4-5x, beat everyone by 20+ and you're going to make 20k. You guys up for that?"2 points

It was a good day. Smoked salmon came out right, not great but good football game, practice was fun, very productive day off work, and….as I’ve often said…I woke up this morning with just as much control over my future as I was when I woke up the morning before. Not a bad day at all.2 points

And the more those diseases mutate, they become less virulent. This is how virulent strains work. They can start with severe deadly effect, then mutate and become less deadly, although more easily transmitted. This is the lesson of history that was conveniently forgotten for covid. And for Covid, we can thank Fauci and his gain of function research with the Wuhan lab. It should never have happened, if not for the US and Chinese governments. mspart2 points

Greg D is out for the season. Ungar was supposed to be at the Cyclone Open after descending to 125, but I don't know if he didn't make the trip or didn't make the weight. Perhaps Coach Grey will give more info in his weekly email update in a day or two. The plan (until this weekend) was for Ungar to descend to and remain at 125 this year, and for Ferrera to stay at 133 for the remainder of the season. Did I mention that Ferrera was injured in his second match this weekend (after winning his first over Intermat #20 and ESPN expert Cory Land), and MFFd the following match? No idea what will occur going forward. The best laid plans of coaches and wrestlers gang aft agley...1 point

The same happens after every government shutdown. I don't remember you complaining about that. The workers that did not work get paid. mspart1 point

The fact that Masoumi, who is a legitimate top 5-10 in the world, didn't stick him speaks volumes much less a close match where Keuter got a takedown of his own. Iowa fans and Iowa haters need to chill. He will be R12 or better this year and will graduate with at least one title if he continues wrestling.1 point

Doesn't a true vaccine keep you from getting the virus? So this isn't a true vaccine. So it is a shot that might help you not get it but if you get Covid you can pass it on. During Covid as a heating and air tech I went to over 5000 homes. I originally was going to get the shot but there were not enough shots sent to my county. I didn't get the shot looking for my good health and a good immune system. I am 70 years old now but I was working 50,60 and 70 hour weeks while Covid was here. Many of the younger guys at work who got the shot got Covid. Many of my customers who got Covid had also received the shot several times. A true vaccine prevents you from getting the virus period.1 point

Yes, funny how there are good oligarchs and bad oligarchs. Biden never complained about the lizard, or the twitter guy or musk or anyone else as long as they were giving him their money. Those were good oligarchs, nothing to see here move along!!! mspart1 point

They didn’t promise to end it within a day of taking office, and neither of them are POTUS right now, either. So, not sure how the campaign promises of private citizens who hold no elected office is relevant here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
