so basically "its not our fault for leaking it, its your fault for seeing it". That isn't a good point, its blaming someone else for your screw up.4 points

Funny. Everyone loves Japan this year. Japan goes hard. Harder than Iowa. 6-7 days of double sessions per week. 90+ minutes of hard live a day. Sometimes 60 one minute live goes in a session. They do this for years and years. Why aren't you complaining about Japan's grind? Meanwhile PSU has suffered more serious knee injuries than Iowa in the last two years.3 points

With Gable coming back, there will be 4 weights with more than 1 NCAA Champ in the bracket. 141 - Allirez & Mendez 174 - O'toole & Haines 184 - Starocci & Keckeisen HWT - Gable & Kerkvliet I am not the historian but this has to be a record, right? 40% of the weights could see 2 champs go at it. Philly might go down as one of the best individual tourneys ever.3 points

There clearly is a personal issue. Willie reposted a video from Martin a month or so ago where Martin again went hard in the paint after Pyles. It seemed to be related to Pyles allegedly telling people he was concerned with Martin's mental health.2 points

It's not the most competitive matchup but I'm excited to go watch OSU vs OSU in corvallis. It's an easy drive from Seattle for me and it's about the best wrestling that we can watch in the Pacific Northwest.2 points

I am pretty tired of Martin Floreani. That post was just his personal grievance. I watched the Flo clip and thought it was fine. Sure, a bit defensive, but fine.2 points

Haven’t they already failed at this? Pre existing gov budget people. Hmmmmmm2 points

I don't know if he's right or not....I mean, I assume he's not because I tend to give athletes at that level the benefit of the doubt...but the real flaw there is in his asinine logic. Walking around and talking to people fine after the match is NOT indicative of having or NOT having had a concussion. Acting like it's a sprained ankle is foolish. I will say, I wonder if it'd benefit this kid to take a year off. A full year just not Wrestling, hitting his head. Just lifting, running, healing. I'm not aware how it works at Cornell. If he withdrew from classes, would he still have 3 years left?2 points

It may be funny that it takes 2 people to find inefficiencies. But what if they do? There has never been a serious effort such as this to find wasteful spending and innefficiencies. What if they are successful? Would that be a bad thing? What is the real problem here? mspart2 points

ahh ... Trump & Musk were both liberal (Democrat) billionaires. The liberals loved them. Then their party moved left and left them. They didn't change but the liberals now hate them.2 points

How do you think they became billionaires? It wasn't from wasting money. Musk is an economist, his whole business model SpaceX, Boring, Tesla, X.com, Paypal ... is about efficiency.2 points

Truly original material. You should ask Spencer how he feels about the program.2 points

And appoints two billionaires to run said department, which, again, is ostensibly targeting efficiency. The jokes write themselves. And obviously they named it after a meme cryptocurrency, because nothing matters any more. Also the department is, at it's inception, immediately redundant with the GAO. https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2024/11/12/congress/elon-musk-vivek-ramaswamy-trump-00189209?fbclid=IwY2xjawGhDU9leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHeVk_neQy-monfqBR516iZ96u0F9VAus2eJl0q7gJ3_O6eem0mOOge81oA_aem_cLrV2O8rHM7M-Avof_VzmA1 point

Eligibility? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.1 point

As stated, multiple times, my issue is not with the idea, as always it's with the social media era infused execution. There already is an agency designed for this purpose. Strengthen it, give it teeth, if you truly want to do this. Nope, have to make a whole new department and put two billionaire campaign surrogates in charge (in the same role, no less, erego the original joke) one of whom has massive government contracts and thus has a vested interest in how this plays out.1 point

So so happy for Sammy to even be able to get back out there. I don't know that we will truly know where he's at until CKLV if he opts to wrestle there. The first 3 dates on the schedule do not have NCAA qualifier caliber guys to throw out against him.1 point

The Iowa injury thing is so tired. Spencer tore his ACL his senior year of high school and missed most of his junior season the year before that hes just had injury issues the way Iowa trains had nothing to do with that. The only other guy I can think of that had nagging injuries for them is Kemerer but he and Spencer are both young guns products so if we are citing all this data off of two guys then maybe its a young guns problem. Iowas main issue to me has been a lack of development in attacks and scrambling. Guys don't really seem to develop their offense there to the same level as they do other places and they always seem a bit behind in the scrambles. Bo has a lot of offense and is a good scrambler already so I think they can probably take what he already does well and just weaponize it even more.1 point

Yeah, in nations like San Marino or Bahrain, it's a non-issue. But so many of the transfers are happening to Romania, Hungary, Italy, and others that would produce genuinely competitive candidates that need mat time to develop. Yes, there are probably sore losers complaining about the current climate, but I'm sure there are plenty of private clubs and individuals from second-tier wrestling nations with genuine programs that are voicing their complaints about lost opportunities too.1 point

He has no WWE prospects, or contract. As for MMA they start you out small and slow. It is a heavy lift, with low odds, to get to the real money. And you get punched in the face a lot, a whole lot, in the meantime.1 point
