Here is a prime example of what everyone is talking about...including Husker...hammer didn't insult you in his post...he was stating what he believes (which is all true) and you do nothing but insult him. So quite with the multiple personality posting claiming you don't do what you do all the time...aka., see above.4 points

Tracy McGrady once told a story about Kobe. One offseason, apparently at a hotel, McGrady told Kobe that he was going to go work out. Kobe responded by acting like he was crazy. “What are you going to work out for? We’re in the offseason. You don’t need to work out.” McGrady eventually accepted that idea, went back to his room, changed, and relaxed for a bit. But after a short while he got antsy and decided to go lift. And once he got in the weight room, he saw Kobe lifting.3 points

From this article, university of New Orleans by 2028: https://t.co/vOSoddHKwa “Continuing on his process, Grant Leeth mentions that a program close to home, the University of New Orleans, has reached out and adopted this same approach. UNO started their wrestling club and is aiming to have a D1 program in the 2028-2029 season. “That’s kind of the structure or blueprint of what we’re doing, and you said you’re in Louisiana. The University of New Orleans saw what we were doing. They reached out to our foundation president, and now they’re planning on adding a Division I team in 2028.”3 points

I couldn't find the 2017 version, but I assume these questions from 2014 were the same in 2017 to get the graph in the tweet. If they asked these questions every time, I'm not sure you have to hold the left most possible position to pick the liberal position in this survey. The tweet makes it sound like it's more about pushing the position to the left, i.e. from legal abortion up to 16 weeks to legal abortion the entire pregnancy. This seems more like people are becoming less ideologically heterodox and that's somewhat more pronounced on the left than the right. "Today, almost four-in-ten (38%) politically engaged Democrats are consistent liberals, up from just 8% in 1994. The change among Republicans since then appears less dramatic – 33% express consistently conservative views, up from 23% in the midst of the 1994 “Republican Revolution.” But a decade ago, just 10% of politically engaged Republicans had across-the-board conservative attitudes." https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2014/06/12/political-polarization-in-the-american-public/3 points

I'm not sure it's any harder to win as a true freshman than any other weight. There really aren't that many true freshman champs at any weight. Below are the number of true freshman champs at each weight since the weight class change in 1999. 125 - 1 (Lee) 133 - None 141 - 3 (Ware, Dake, Diakomihalis) 149 - 1 (Schlatter) 157 - None 165 - None 174 - 2 (Martin, Hall) 184 - None 197 - 2 (Cox, Ferrari) 285 - None3 points

Got a buddy who still wrestles club at Akron and allegedly UA and Kent State are in a race to fund and field D1 women’s programs. Any news/anecdotes on other schools looking to do the same? Note: UA just got a new president who sold a sports agency to IMG for several million almost a decade ago and has publicly stated putting together a respectable NIL is on his to do list. School/donors bought new UA branded mats this week, as opposed to the old HS mats in a ratty old gym the club was on.2 points

My daughter works at Walgreens. They cannot stop shoplifters even when they see them. The most they can do is call the Sheriff or Police and have a no trespassing citation against the perp. If they see them in the store again, they call the police again and the guys gets escorted out if he/she hasn't left already. Otherwise, they do not report any shoplifting crimes. They cannot stop shoplifting crimes as that is against company policy. The perps know where they stand. Shoplift and go. No problem. It is the way it is in countless communities. mspart2 points

I think the only danger to Lee is if he runs in to a big 57 KG guy that he can't turn early. I know saying Abakarov is a copout because he is a shit matchup for anyone, really, but that is honestly the only tough match I see him having. I don't think there is another 57 KG that can stop his early turn. His tank is his only question right now and hopefully before the Oly Games injury doesn't rear it's head again.2 points

not everyone agrees but i think ferrari is a superior on almost every level, the exception might be ferrari is more of social media whore, meaning he doesn't care about anything but image and decides flipping off the crowd in the splits is the only way to win the day, but Downey's twitter would have gotten him booted off any program 3 times over. Better wrestler, way harder working, infinitely better "off the mat", equal criminal tendencies(based on rumors), better teammate...2 points

At Iowa Spencer Lee just made the Olympic Team, he won a team title and had a great shot at two if not for a completely unforeseeable circumstance. As has been stated, he also had injury issues before he went to Iowa. The OP also conflicts: did they run him into the ground at Iowa or did he get special treatment?2 points

No boots on the ground from Flo or Willie to witness a rare event like this ? When is the last time a Russian of sidakovs quality came to do a clinic in us ?....I'm frankly intrigued...curious...and wanting to know the happenings. Any live goes with yanni ? What's he think of the folkstyle and college environment ? Doing MMA ? Did dake do a double take with this announcement and set up an exhibition ? We all know dake has been preparing for one man for the last 4 years. If I'm dake I want to wrestle sidakov before the Olympics and beat him and get that off my back and go into Olympic mentally on point. With Russia being ruled out it makes perfect sense.1 point

Listening to Spencers interview on flow, he speaks about how he feels 125 is too small of a weight for the modern day male. I think this was a general sentiment but especially in regards to the collegiate season. He mentions how he thinks it will get even worse in the coming years and attributes the roller coaster that is 125lbs to this. It made me wonder if you are a college coach are you looking to recruit and undersized guy who may not be quite as elite as say a guy who was making 126 his senior year of high school. An example of this that I thought of was Ayden smith. Ayden is great hes a 2x 1st place guy in PA and he wrestled 113 the entire year regardless of the 2lbs. Now is he Luke Lilledahl obviously not, but I think he will comfortably make 125 for 4 years. Lilledahl is a poor example because he could be an all timer given his trajectory but the point im trying to get at is do you want the guy thats not quite as good right now but could make 125 his junior and senior year or the guy who's good right now but may end up at 133 after a year or two and has to cut his ass off.1 point

There are those that believe we should have 118 for the same reasons - seniors who are wrestling 106-120 (i.e. Ayden Smith).1 point

So Biden says no action is needed because there are already laws in effect. Well Sr. Biden, there are already laws in effect that do not allow illegal entry into the US. You have ignored those laws. What makes anyone think you won't ignore the voting laws as well? mspart1 point

100% this. By all appearances he seems to be a good kid and is marketable. As long as he keeps on this path it's good for the sport and whichever school he chooses.1 point

I'm not trolling, I'm trying to define the word leader in a way which makes it a valuable commodity as opposed to an archetype that gets dropped by default on the best wrestler in the room. Example, people on here, confident of his role as a leader, have described how Taylor must be a tremendous teacher and mentor for Aaron Brooks and Bo Nickal, then we find out he refused to wrestle Brooks for years and hid an injury NIckal so he wouldn't be able to medal at his weight at worlds. Does this disqualify him from leader status? Does a leader have to embody an institution and put its needs before theirs? Or can you just be a really good example of how to wrestle and train?1 point

You’d be amazed at the number of countries that had like 1 or 2 guys “working” on ops floors in Afghanistan. Nothing like playing a game of “What country is that?” while eating your dinner-to-go in an IDF bunker. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

How have JB or Dake not challenged this man to a match for next weekend? Tomorrow? Tonight? State College is 3.5hrs from Rutgers and Philly is 75 minutes. Edit: Dake is in COS. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Disagree. I think the “no press is bad press” line applies here. The Gardner Webb coach sure didn’t seem to have his feelings hurt, and thanks to Bo Bassett more people were able to learn of his comedic talents.1 point

I will not accept this lie. Minsk I was signed to stop the Russian invasion. Then Russia violated it's own agreement 4 months later. And NATO cannot violate an agreement it is not party to.1 point

Cannibals. I hate slugs. They will actually lock up mouth to mouth and see which one can suck the other one's guts out. Really disgusting, there is nothing lovable about them. My dad thought there might be a cancer cure in their slime but I don't think anything good can come from a slug. mspart1 point

By all appearances Bo doesn't seem to be a prima donna and he very much appears to be a team guy. I also think that it'll be good for college wrestling if Bo does not go to Penn State. Reason being is I believe he's the kind of personality, worker and generational talent that is going to attract more top recruits to wherever he lands. That could create a seismic shift in the balance of power between Penn State and everybody else. Similar to how David Taylor taking over at Ok State looks like one of the few things that has the potential to knock PSU off it's course. Some drama in the team race will bring more eyes to the sport and make those 3 days in March even more exhilarating.1 point

There were a boat load of kids who were in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech who had no intention of going into the military after graduation. Which sounds absolutely ridiculous to me, unless they were getting a non-military funded scholarship to be in it. Talk about a total buzzkill during college.1 point

To be fair, he wasn’t convicted of sexual assault, and yes there’s a difference. Your argument carries weight when you keep it accurate.1 point

Bro, pass the pipe. Jk I don't do drugs but seriously, what has been up with your posts lately? Things so boring at home that you have to stir up bad faith arguments online? It doesn't take much effort at all to find interviews online of some combination of spencer, his dad, teammates, or coaches, to realize that nothing you said is true (of Spencer). That being said, I can definitely envision Bassett being drawn to Iowa precisely because he would be perceived as the top dog - - including the financial incentives that would entail.1 point
