I think they are excellent. Burroughs and Taylor are similar in style and demeanor. Smith is unique.4 points

D3 kid had multiple attempts , had the leg up in the air and D2 kid dived roll and they scrambled to a stalemate quite a few times so idk where u get the no attempts to score , D2 kid also had 2 committed shots but he didn’t have much of an angle he was coming straight on, and not for nothing but 2 national champs took the match on very short notice , both had to make weight and hop on flights to PA. Credit to both guys for stepping in and taking on a challenge , also always nice to seem D3 keeping d2 in check3 points

Taylor brought this up at the all star classic and I thought it was a good idea. With 3 point takedowns and 2,3,4 point near fall, the major decision should probably be adjusted to 10 points. I always thought that 15 for a tech fall was a little high so I’m ok with keeping that where it is but I think the MD should go up to 10. A prime example was the 125 match which was about as close as a match as you can get, but the score ended up as a major decision (Ramos was up 3-2, Noto goes for a desperation move and gives up 7). If one move can get you 7 points now, a major needs to be more than 8 points. Plus 10 and 15 would be easy numbers for the casual fan. What do you all think?2 points

Funnier thing - and although at no point was Iowa mentioned- the shot they took elsewhere is working well. Why is Cael such a BURR to you? Would you have preferred that he coach at Hamilton College? Or is it that he has two Aaron's on the roster and only one Alexander?2 points

You can have it. Best make sure you get a bit of Central Park &/or river front in your 40 for firewood and fishing. Gonna need that wood for heat when they shut off the power and to make your fishing pole. Personally I want a remote US 40 ac. No desire to be in the middle of 1.5M axe welding hungry people.2 points

Apparently Tarleton State needs to raise $2 million? Hopefully Leeth took some notes on Koll’s fundraising skills…2 points

I thought DT on the mic was absolutely great. He provided technical insights and even some "insider" information (e.g., Snyder helping out Kerk). He stayed relevant and was focused on the wrestling or wrestler in question. He's articulate and he knows the sport inside and out, including both freestyle and folkstyle, the coaches, the training centers, the international scene, etc. It's easy to see why he is a great coach for high school guys and probably why he will be a successful college coach if he elects to go that route. He seems to know everyone; he's respected; and has lots of connections that any program would want. i suspect he would only want to go to one of the very top tier college programs, or perhaps try his hand with the US freestyle team.2 points

Informative, keeps a pretty even keel, and shares the same frustrations as me (lack of action). That's why i like him.2 points

On the flip side most everyone has also selected Swiderski over VV. VV has not looked great this year but Swiderski did lose to a teammate this year that is now down at 141. When you compare their career accolades up to this point there is not much to suggest picking one over the other. Swiderski's best wins are splitting with Cael Hapel and beating Vince Cornella. VV's best wins are splitting with Jaden Abas, Kellyn March and Mitch Moore.2 points

Looks like our worst fears from a month ago were confirmed last night and Hendrickson's U23 title came at a very significant cost. He will most likely end his career as a 2x AA with no titles. Barring a Steveson comeback, Kerk will be untouched this year. If he is going to pursue a serious WCAP career then he needs to get out of his own way and pursue surgery + recovery. This sucks so much. He has been one of, if not the, best technician in all of college wrestling with a flair for sticking everyone and a red-hot prospect making an immediate impact on the senior circuit. Where were you when he nearly broke the world bronze medalist's ribs on a gut ride from hell?2 points

Interesting that we can hear the same thing differently. Having never wrestled and literally knowing nothing about it, I very much appreciate the coaching. For me it is not over.2 points

I personally cringed when I saw the clip of him "playing football." He hadn't wrestled since U23, correct? I'll be surprised if he wrestles before January. Maybe mid to late January.2 points

Here is something a lot of people are acknowledging and I already said the same myself: David Taylor is an excellent commentator. He may actually be the best out there at the moment2 points

I watched it yesterday. He is limping several times in there. At the very least he is 'stiff legging' it. You understand men of his athletic pedigree can do a lot with little to no ligaments, right? You also understand that the guy who beat him has NO ACL in at least one of his knees too, right? The difference between the two is Hendrickson's injury is recent. Someone said it was the finals of U23s, but I believe it was the quarters. Also, Hendrickson isn't going to be the guy that makes any excuses. That isn't his shtick. Also, also - Kerk looked so fckn fast. HFS. Taylor had said something about him being 240-245 last year? He weighed in at 256(253?) at B1Gs. If he is lighter than 240-245 then the entire damn planet needs to be on notice, because he didn't lack any power there.2 points

David Taylor is the guy at the Magic: The Gathering table who knows every card and can tell you the damage done by a Hippogriff compared to a Thrull. By the way, tomorrow I file a multi-billion dollar antitrust lawsuit against Penn State. They got the venue, a suspiciously large number of the participants, one of the announcers, Wrestleknownothing providing play-by-play here, and they promoted their venue for Olympic Team Trial during the match. I almost miss Iowa. What happened to them anyway?2 points

Contrary to what others have posted, this is a legit question. Since Hamas was elected in 2006 there haven't been elections. But the question is "Why?" Did Hamas clamp down and crush the rights of the people of Gaza after their election? Did the Gazans support their government, just as the Russians do? The current Gaza/Israel conflict has been in the 24/7 news cycle for quite some time now. The media is digging deep and struggling to find more to report on this hot topic... YET, we have not heard a single demand in the endless media reporting from Gazans for free and fair elections. None. Zero. What we have seen is many Gaza citizens openly celebrate the 10/7 Hamas attack on Israel. Anti-Israel groups are lying to us. Plain and simple. The Gazans largely support Hamas, just as they largely celebrated the 10/7 attack on Israel. They do not seek free and fair elections - of course not, they despise western democracy. Where Gazans start and Hamas ends, and vice-versa, is as shady as where hospitals start and terrorists end and vice-versa in the region.1 point
