  1. 11 men, 1 woman - that's 12. When Snyder won the spot at Trials, he did it before Helen, so I announced he was the 11th. Helen became the first woman, so I said she was the first woman, which is more significant than being the 12th American. Not sure if they're referencing my announcement or Cody Goodwin's story where he wrote about it for USAW. Anyway, here's the answer Bruce Baumgartner (4) Mark Fuller (4) Ben Peterson Bill Kerslake Dan Chandler Dennis Hall Dick Wilson Kenny Monday Tommy Evans Wayne Baughman Kyle Snyder Helen Maroulis

  2. Hopefully he makes a full recovery. He has repeatedly had to deal with tragedy and challenging circumstances throughout his life (of course his own family, but also paddock and recently sasso) and still has such a positive/uplifting perspective on life. He’s a great voice and leader in the sport. An update: https://x.com/nickcorey167/status/1783170329218560381

  3. list of guys I can see doing it from most to least confident Marcus Blaze (watching Lilledahl torch the field this week but not being able to really touch blazes legs kinda speaks volumes on just how good this kid is) Bo Bassett: my only real concern with Bo is burnout or injury I love his work ethic but waking up before 5 am during your developmental years constantly to train and it seems hes been doing it for years feels like it could come back to bite you but I may be reading too much into that I just think in a 7 minute match its gonna be hard for guys to stop him + he has 2 years of high school left) Ben Davino: I think hes lost once in 2-3 years in high school has not wrestled senior level like some of his peers but he has the last wins over blaze, forrest, knox I also think hes a career 133 which bodes well for him imo and I expect him to red shirt. Jax Forrest: This weekend was a bump in the road for Jax but im wondering if making 125.4 two weekends in a row and going through tough competition Is too much for him. Hes wrestled between 121 and 126 for like 2 years now and he has a huge frame would like to see him take time to grow like Bo did. The talent is not a question and his feel I think is just something you're born with the two more years of high school is also in his favor here. PJ duke: I wanted to see him against higher level comp and he blew me away.Probably not a real concern its just one match but he did seem tired against Webster in the second, Webster was just trying to make something happen and walked into an inside trip so I guess I have a small concern about his tank for 7 minutes but he has another year of high school so im not all too concerned Luke Lilledahl: Only thing that hurts my confidence in Luke is I think hes going right away and I believe hes a bit better at free than folk. That being said I absolutely think he could win it next year PSU if they have anything going against them is their 125 track record. Aedon Sinclair: If he goes right away for Missouri I don't think he gets it done, hes incredible but he did struggle with the physicality of the more mature guys at the LCQ so I think he needs some time to mature. Connor Mirasola: For a heavier guy this kids ability to score in different ways on his feet are absolutely unreal. Ladarion Lockett: Would like to see his handfight evolve a bit he may have issues with guys that are super positionally sound if he can't open them up. Melvin Miller: He's only a freshman in high school but this kids ability to find angles on his feet are beautiful to watch if you have not watched him wrestled Id watch his run through cadets its unreal. Hes also probably going to end up somewhere between 174-197 which given his skillset I think is a huge plus. I just think one of the other guys will do it first. Dreshaun ross: just a specimen of a human being kids like 7 feet tall and moves like a lighter guy, Unfortunately I think we may lose him to football.

  4. Bader gave a great interview with him on the most recent version of the Bader show. Dude is beyond a gentleman, just a wonderful soul and a tremendous role model. I legitimately cannot think of anyone I would choose as a better role model to show a young person, let alone a wrestler. There are few wrestlers who transcend the sport itself in the example they set and being a legit role model for any athlete or any person anywhere. J'den is one of those few. If you haven't watched it, definitely check out the episode. We are lucky to have J'den as a part of the sport. https://www.flowrestling.org/events/6197840-the-bader-show/videos?playing=12478080&limit=60

  5. Anytime I listen to an interview with Tom I always walk away thinking to myself how fortunate his wrestlers are to have him as their leader. Thankfully it is not life threatening and that’s good news. It’s also nice to see all the words of support he’s getting from the wrestling community including in this forum. Get well soon Tom Ryan!

  11. i notice you say "shifting goalposts" as if it was an argument in itself. In case you haven't noticed, there are protests all over american campuses, peaceful and not so much, over the war in Gaza. They are a partnership between muslim fundamentalists and leftists who think the cause of terrorism is fighting against it. These are both fundamentalist perspectives, just like "give me complete control of the world's economy or else climate change". this is why you see "queers for palestine" signs, people on the left will thoughtlessly virtue signal by promoting anyone with a trendy victim narrative. by the way you are being dishonest again, willie was referring to the first guy and I was referring to the second, whom could easily be fundamentalists in different ways, but sense there is a partnership between these two sides on this issue your comment still made no sense.

  14. A great thing about Ryan is that he isn't afraid to speak his mind and advocate for his wrestlers every single step of the way. Even if he is wrong, he isn't wrong because that is what you do. You defend yours. Fortunately, they have a great staff and he has probably one of the best support networks on the planet that is capable of said support.

  16. That isn't being ironic. It's called being a classless cunt, so good on you for being the worst you possibly could be. There are those who actually trained during those times and hold parts dear and near to their hearts for those he effected on these forums, myself included.

  17. 16 States don't require an ID to vote. 212 electoral votes. 11 states require a non photo ID. 69 electoral votes. These states are prime for voter fraud. These states have a combined 281 electoral votes (270 required for election). The remaining 23 require a photo ID. 83% of blacks have access to smartphones. 85% of whites and Hispanics have access to smartphones. There's literally no difference for access to phones. Anybody that has access to a smartphone has the ability to get a photo ID. It would appear to be racist to say that blacks and Hispanics don't have the capacity to get an ID. Which has been the lefts argument. The left fights tooth and nail to not allow voter ID nationally, I wonder why that is.

  20. I just purchased a new John Deere ballot harvesting combine. It can harvest 1200 votes per hour. Which state should I start in first? I might need to get an entire fleet of combines by the look of things.

  23. Trump was way up in Philadelphia before a truck showed up dumping ballots without postage. Do you remember the folks that watched the vote counters in Philly had to stand about 40 yards away? It was fraud on an epic scale.

  25. I completed my 2020 US census on my IPhone. That’s the census that’s used to distribute federal funding along with deciding how many representatives each state gets. If technology is safe enough to use for the census it seems it would be the same for voting. Not to mention how easy it was. We would also have real time data instead of waiting like we have to now.

  26. i don't think SSN would be horrible (provided the poll workers actually verified them in person at the polling station). i just want...idk...any measure to prevent fraud. frankly what we have now is amateur hour and primed for fraud. i have absolutely zero confidence in it. it's truly amazing we can send a man to the moon but the supposed nation that's most advanced and democratic can't figure out a safe frickin election system.

  28. From the beginning, when you claimed that the IDF had bombed the al elsie hospital, killing 500 innocents, you’ve repeatedly posted lies about Jews while barely mentioning the depravity of Palestinians. Palestinians, ‘civilians’ who rallied, helped, joined in, partied, celebrated, and condone what Hamas did. Find one of these ‘innocent civilians’ you speak of. In Gaza, where the war is, not among the elitist, designer keffiyeh wearing, studies majors on the ivory’s lawn, but in Gaza, where the killers are. With regards to limiting collateral damage, it has already been pointed out that they’ve achieved the lowest rate in history, accomplishing it among the most militant population in the world. But you cling to a version of your own at the peril of your credibility. The police are involved because the mushbrains are breaking rules and laws. Is obeying rules and laws the behavior you expect of your friends, and they of you? And spare us the Fareed Zakaria, we’ve already heard the script.

  29. Lebanon has been a US ally for a long time. Iranian proxies are able to infiltrate and stage military actions from their territory, but that does not mean the Lebanese government hosts them. They literally send officers to US military schools. I attended one with about a dozen of them. Ironically, a roughly equal mix of Christian, Jewish and Muslim guys who all smoked cigarettes and drank with each other. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  30. There won't be a drop in applications for the Ivies. You are talking about a couple hundred people at most out of 36,000 students at Columbia. Most students there aren't protesting and are focusing on computer science, economics, or they're premed/prelaw. And with their free time, they're getting drunk. People who get their idea about what these colleges are like from the news want to hear a certain perspective. Do you really think there will be any less interest in a college that is one of the top 10-20 in the country, has incredible financial aid, and is located in NYC? All because there were protests that will have been forgotten about in the news cycle by the time application season comes along? By the time college applications start-up, the news will have some other "crisis" to focus on. The coaching job at Columbia is just as good as it was a month ago, which isn't really that great of a job.

  33. If he ever finds his way back onto a college mat, there is so much potential for him to do the funniest things possible at any point. Get DQ'd in the national finals--possible. Double bird split salute in Ames--possible. Pose and flex in Cael's face after winning in BJC--possible. Get in a fight with Terry Brands during a match--possible. These are just a few of the things currently being robbed from us by (admittedly, wise), administrators. Let's hope somebody is ready to make a bad decision.

  41. I was talking about JB being so competitive it makes him a pretty well established dick. To call taylor a competitive d-bag and then…not call jb or dake that is silly. They all showed up in the same canoe to that party. They’re all so competitive that to be anything other than the best ruins every minute of their day. We saw lots of that early on from Dake when JB beat him and everyone called him a whiner for years. But then he got a world team spot and chilled a bit…then he beat JB and became outwardly much more chill, and JB started seeming like the competitive dbag. They’ve all been this way all along, it’s just whether or not they win some tournaments esch year which determines how they behave. It’s one of the things that was so awesome about J’den, and is awesome about snyder too, they’re really composed and gentlemanly even when they lose. And, even if disappointed or angry, it is at themselves, they may express it but it is towards nobody but themselves, never at anyone else. It’s that lesson we all teach to little kids when they play sports. The irony is some of these guys are so good, they forget that lesson until they are re-taught it in their 30’s.

  42. How about any fan that goes to any event in any sport that drinks too much and acts like a jackwagon. If you shout anyone down for any reason, ride the officials, or get out of your seat to speak to the participants you are pretty much a crap fan and are embarrassing yourself and the sport.
