We'd be 5th if Russia had been fully involved. It seemed going into the Olympics that we had a lot of very good and used to be great--but not a lot of currently great. Not really. You figure it out, it's figured out. You don't need to super duper figure it out. This kid...who just teched Vito, he comes to Okie St, they spend a year with him on bottom Wrestling, arms in, blocking off, two on one, come up and he'll be out most of the time. On occasion, he'll find his way into scrambles and...figure it out. Vs a guy like Crookham, I think it's entirely likely he beats him right in Folkstyle...but give him a year with, Fix, Gillman, whoever at OSU, or in PSU's program...and I think you could find a strategy to beat him this year. I say Crookham because I believe he'll finish his career with 1 loss and 3NCs if healthy, he's that good. But you still have 5 minutes on your feet. I think that's...4-5 TDs for the kid who just ran through the WC like his name was Gable. I'm not understating how good a kid like Crookham is on top or how hard it is to learn how to get out, but it's not like this kid is starting from scratch. Plus, just watch the way the kid Wrestles. I think it'd take about 3 seconds for him to learn a tilt. He looks like Lee on top and...John Smith on his feet. And he's 20 years old. Unfortunately, I don't think Kennedy ever sees the starting lineup barring injury. Sucks. He and his family love Iowa.

I think we get lost in the fandom and the accolades of the sport that we forget these are real people. Everybody gets burnt out from their job from time to time, but at my job I'm not tearing MCLs and leaving with bruises, cuts, and black eyes. If he wants to do something else, all the respect to him. I've also heard him say he wants to go into fighting at some point, but I'm not sure if that's still a priority. A lot of people think he left wrestling for BJJ but I also don't think that his sole focus is to win ADCC or CJI. I think he's having fun and obviously has an aptitude for combat sports. Would be awesome to see him in the cage and I feel sorry for whoever would draw him in DWCS.

I would enjoy that match. Probably more than Gabe Arnold.

My take was that Ghasempour misinterpreted what Taylor was doing when he went over to sort of yank him up with 2 seconds left.
