My wife agreed ^^^ but when pressed on subsidizing foreigners, she said the U.S. should prioritize helping its own people. The U.S. does not recognize food, shelter, and health care as a human right but offers many programs and charity. I agree with the US on their legal stance. The US current programs must be doing okay given their willingness to extend charities to other countries where the charity is siphoned from the corrupt folks in charge.3 points

Believe it or not? Kevin Dresser. Robie goes to Iowa State and hires Gilman who immediately hits the peace pipe and begins competitive half-pipe roller blading at the X games. The circle of life continues harmoniously.2 points

TInfoil hat time: Iowa fans can't wait to get rid of Tom and Terry. Spencer needs a change of coaching scenery. They can't recruit. Tom screwed over VaTech. You know where this is going, and I accurately predicted Bo to Iowa under the same semi-satirical logic. TnT are going to VaTech after they wrap up their 20th season with the Hawkeyes. It's the ultimate reverse uno card for what happened with the VaTech Five.2 points

So what you are saying is that those people that were detained and let go in the middle of the night are not happier now than they were 2 weeks ago. Is that correct? I agree it would have been better for the operation to just get the baddies. But it would have been even better not to have let the baddies in. Then those people wouldn't have lived through what they did. I would bet that they are much happier now that the baddies are gone. mspart2 points

We’ll let me help you here boss. I didn’t stipulate she did or didn’t. You asked if she provided evidence and I showed u the link of what she said. with that said. This thing called Google. Says the threats are from the cartels. I don’t know if you know what cartels are but they don’t get on cnn to give their threats. I don’t know anyone in a cartel that I know of. So I also don’t know how the three letter agencies qualify the validity of said threats. given were deporting the cartels gravy/money train of crime drugs and what not. I dunno boss. You put two and two together. Or don’t. I don’t care. #politicians are trash. And so is politics.2 points

She did not. And the DHS has already been caught lying about this specific case, so please tell me why I should believe her assertion without evidence about bounties? Sad thing is none of you have the integrity to come out and admit you're wrong when the people you support are caught lying. Don't be surprised if DHS suddenly stops talking about this incident once *actual* video is available and it reveals that their poorly trained wannabe brown shirts screwed up.2 points

Every year we see someone who isn't the starter come out and shine and put their name out there. Who do you think will have a great season, despite not starting? Excluding incoming freshman who will redshirt.....and Nic Bouzakis....1 point

57kg: Favorites: Luke Lilledahl (u20 Gold, u20 silver, Cadet gold, Cadet silver) Luke is pretty clearly the favorite at this weight that overall is one of the weaker weights at the tournament. The Asian gold (north korea) and one of the Bronze (saliev) are not entered, Pavlov (euro gold) and Zangaladze (euro silver) are also not entered or not at 57 and I think they would have probably been Luke's toughest matches although I would have picked him in. We have gotten to see him now against more senior level international competition and its pretty clear that he is close to competing for a senior level medal. Valizadeh is someone who I thought about putting in this tier simply as a product of him being Irans senior guy for a world championship at the age of 19 and the guy at seniors this year. He also has a win over Razzade and Horst lehr which are very quality wins. However he has not shown much level of consistency and I do have some questions about how effective he can still be at 57kg. Medal Threats: Nodirbek JUMANAZAROV (Asian silver) ANKUSH (u20 Bronze) Milad Valizadeh (senior asian silver) Predictions: Gold: Luke Silver: Jumanazarov Bronze: Ankush Bronze: Valizadeh 61kg: Favorites: Jax Forrest (Senior world 5th, cadeit silver), Akito Mukaida (emperors cup bronze via win over Hosigawa world bronze meji cup silver), Levik Mikayelan (u23 euro gold many worlds under his belt defeated Nic bouzakis 10-3 last year), Fedor Baltuev( u20 bronze beating Jess mendez only loss was via fall 7-10 against amouzad also got silver at the 2023 Yarigyan losing to Abasghadzi 10-8), Reza Momeni (senior world 7th). This is a very deep field with quite a bit of variance Baltuev at a time looked like the next guy to step up for Russia being ranked as high as 5 in the world but has not wrestled a ton since 2023, at least that I have seen. Akito Mukaida has record a win as well as a tech fall loss to Hosogawa in the last 12 months who as I mentioned is a former world bronze and was leading suda 3-2 pretty for the spot on the world team this year. Mikayelan seems quite powerful and had a very good single against bouzakis and could certainly be someone that makes some noise but despite competing at 4 age level world championships has yet to medal. I think Jax is the best and most consistent guy here although if the Baltuev of old i.e when he was 20 shows up it should be a great match. Medal Threats: Jeyhun Allahverdiyev(u20 euro champ u23 euro silver) , Tolga Ozbek (wrestled Blaze pretty tough for bronze last year losing 0-5) Predictions: Gold: Jax Silver: Baltuev Bronze: Mukaida Bronze: Mikayelan 65kg: Favorites: Marcus Blaze (u20 Gold, U20 bronze, Cadet gold), Yuto Nishiuchi (2x u20 gold beating Lilledahl 5-0 1 year, fell to Ono 3-2 to make the national team in 2024 at 61kg) , Sujeet (u23 bronze, u20 bronze, Notable win over Yianni), Umidjon jalalov (Senior bronze, U20 gold, cadet gold, cadet silver), Bashir magomedov (2x u23 gold). Needless to say this weight is insane and I would argue its the deepest age level weight I have ever seen. As american fans I do not think we should look at this as medal or bust for Marcus this is 100% a senior worlds caliber weight and Marcus will likely be undersized. That said I think he can beat any of these guys. Bashir is very very good but is also probably a natural 61kg so he could be giving up a little size. Nishiuchi is probably the least known about as of late but he may very well be the best guy here and potentially the third best guy in the world behind Kiyooka and Amouzad. Jalolov is obviously riding a huge wave of momentum after taking bronze and seniors and beating Rivera so he may be the pick on paper Medal Threats: Abdullah toprak (u23 bronze, u20 Bronze x2, Cadet bronze) Predictions: Gold: Nishiuchi silver: Blaze Bronze: Jalolov Bronze: Magomedov 70kg: Favorites: PJ duke (u20 gold, u20 bronze, senior world team member), Kanan Heybatov ( 2x u23 bronze, u20 gold, 3x senior world teamer), Sina Khalili (cadet gold, senior asian bronze). I feel much more confident that PJ will medal here than I do that Blaze will. This weight is deep but I tihnk Pj is pretty clearly in the mix as a top 3 guy here and I would favor him currently over khalili. Heybatov has a very wide range of results. He looked awesome in Croatia both time at seniors and the ranking series but looked horrendous in hungary at the ranking series. I am not sure if the cut is a factor for him, but I will predict like he is at his best here. Medal Threats:Alexandr Gaidarli (u20 silver), Kaito Morita Predictions: Gold: Heybatov Silver: PJ Bronze: Khalili Bronze: Morita 74kg: Favorites: Mitchell Messenbrink (u23 bronze, u20 gold, u20 silver), Magomed Khaniev (u23 gold), Magomed Baiutkaev (u20 silver, u20 bronze, cadet gold), Yoshinosuke aoyagi (Senior gold, senior silver, u23 silver, u23 bronze, u20 bronze, cadet bronze). Another absolutely loaded weight. Initially my lean was probably slightly to Aoyagi but he just got beat pretty badly by Narikuni who was formarly a 70kg world champ and most recently has competed at 72kg in greco, so the weight could be a bit of a factor for him. I am a big fan of how both Khaniev and baitukaev wrestle, (not how they take time but how they wrestle) they are both super crafty getting too legs and are super dangerous when you are in on their legs. Manuel wagin is a wildcard here he is super strong and positional but I would be surprised if he was ready to compete with any of the above guys. Mitchell's pace I think will be a serious problem for the two Russians one by Azerbijan and I think he may have a little size on aoyagi Medal Threats: Jaideep (u20 bronze, cadet bronze), Manuel wagin (cadet silver), Magomedrasul asluev (u23 5th) Predictions: Gold: Messenbrink silver: Khaniev Bronze: Aoyagi Bronze: Baitukaev1 point

Iowa really hasn't been out-recruited by those teams at least in the 2023-2027 classes. I looked at Flo rankings from those years for my earlier post and shockingly Nebraska only has a single top 20 commit over those 5 classes. Iowa fans should not be envious of Nebraska's recruiting Team # top 5/# top 10/# top 20 ranked by total top 20, then top 10, then top 5. PSU 5/9/13 (Includes Ryder who transferred out, but not Welsh who transferred in. Ono not included) OSU 7/11/12 Virginia Tech 2/4/7 Iowa 3/4/6 Ohio State 1/3/5 (Includes Welsh who transferred out) Cornell 2/2/4 Minnesota 1/1/4 Michigan 0/1/4 Missouri 1/2/3 NC State 0/1/2 Nebraska 0/0/1 UNC 0/0/11 point

Why do you keep bringing up "father?" Who cares? It does not matter. Stalin? Father Mao? Father. Pol Pot. Father. The officer is under no obligation to let go. I don't like gunshots fired in residential or commercial areas, but he's likely justified. The horrible father chose to act erratically and disobey an officer. Very dangerous behavior. P.S. I have some knowledge of this stuff. An acquaintance of mine has four justified shoots as a statie. Now working as a fed btw.1 point

At the time, the Rs during the civil war were not the conservatives. The conservatives were the ones that wanted to keep things the same, hence the name conservative. The Rs were working to abolish slavery which was not conservative. In today's world, the Rs and Ds were not nearly the same as they are now. Clearly different parties. mspart1 point

I think this is potentially a great fit for both Bo and Va. Tech. Let's some of the pressure off Bo and raises the VT profile (already a great program). I do wonder how Melvin will feel about the whole thing as it gets closer to fruition.1 point

What did they find him? And they have evidence, he’s been arrested (gasp), and charged with murder for hire. Hope they don’t put him in a cold azz jail cell. One thing about law enforcement…. They don’t like when you try to kill them. cant make this up One of the high ranking leaders of the Latin kings is a freakin illegal alien with a long arrest record. Feds: Latin Kings leader put out $10,000 hit on ICE commander in Chicago October 6, 2025 3:36 PM Tim Hecke Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino, inset, and an image of federal agents following Saturday’s shooting. (Twitter, Citizen) Federal prosecutors say a Latin King gang leader offered a $10,000 bounty for the killing of a senior immigration enforcement officer after an ICE agent shot a woman in Chicago this weekend. A source familiar with the investigation identified the intended target as Commander Gregory Bovino, who has been leading the Border Patrol’s high-profile “Midway Blitz” operation in the city. Juan Espinoza Martinez, 37, known by the street name “Monkey,” is accused of offering $10,000 reward for Bovino’s murder and $2,000 for information about Bovino’s location. The case, unsealed on Monday, outlines how Martinez allegedly used social media, encrypted messaging, and his position within the Latin Kings to rally members of the gang after a police-involved shooting involving Border Patrol in Brighton Park on Saturday. Prosecutors say this social media exchange is an offer of $10,000 for the murder of a Border Patrol commander and $2,000 for information about his whereabouts. (U.S. District Court records) A federal source told investigators that Martinez dispatched gang members to the area of the shooting scene, instructing them to acquire weapons and guard Latin Kings territory near 26th Street and South Drake Avenue. According to the complaint, Martinez sent a Snapchat message showing a photo of Bovino alongside a Spanish-language caption that translated to: “$2,000 on information when you get him.” Another message, prosecutors said, confirmed the Latin Kings’ involvement in plotting the attack. Investigators linked Martinez to the communications through subscriber records and a phone number tied to his CashApp account. Surveillance teams later observed him driving a red 2014 Ford pickup truck registered in his name near the gang’s stronghold in Little Village. The complaint states Martinez has the authority to order violent acts including murder and notes the gang’s long-standing reputation for carrying out “hits” against rivals and law enforcement. Martinez is charged with murder-for-hire.1 point

We're not talking about any high school kid. We're talking about Bo Bassett. TNwrestling asked what the definition of bust is? Say whatever you want about him, but if I wager whether or not he will be a 4x AA, I would absolutely bet on him accomplishing that. And I don't think any 4x AA can be called a bust.1 point

Anyone that’s willing to drive away from a cop when they’ve supposedly done nothing wrong isn’t a person you can trust. And what does him dropping his kids off at daycare have to do with anything????? People with kids don’t do bad things? Another stereotype that you don’t believe in huh?1 point

This right here is why there is something seriously wrong with your way of thinking...the LEO did not cause the driver to drive away while he was holding on to something in the car...how does your line of thinking even go there. Not to mention. The condition of the property is likely because of the baddies terrorizing the other non baddie tenants. But Mr surburbs doesn’t see that side of the story in the ideology in his head. All he sees is the emotional terms like zip ties or middle of the night etc….. Why do officers carry zip ties instead of 50,000 pairs of hand cuffs. Man I can’t seem to figure that one out.1 point

THIS was a song that is burned into my memory banks... played it on my stereo in my bedroom, morning of my wedding day while my brother & my best friend (who was my best man) and the rest of my wedding party was getting ready to go over to the church. Richard “Dickey” Betts wrote “Blue Sky” about his Native Canadian girlfriend, Sandy “Bluesky” Wabegijig, a woman he would go on to marry. The Allman Brothers Band recorded “Blue Sky” in September of 1971 for inclusion on what would turn out to be their iconic Eat A Peach album released in February 1972.1 point
