  1. You are on these boards 24 x 7 and you don't know he was car jacked?

  2. Why can't he try to grow in to 86 KG like his coach?

  3. I didn't see anyone claim they covered it all. Many were assumed to cover large portions... but a large portion could be $50k to some or $5k to others. It's nonsense to try to paint someone in a negative light that offered any sort of monetary help and/or any sort of social media promotion towards help. Better than 8 billion plus still isn't good enough? These cunts (Paul/White) should get our gratitude for this. We can hate on them for the 50 million other things they actually di that is wrong or unethical. For this, I say thank you.

  8. He certainly could I am not sure he had the width in his frame that David had. He is going to be sandwiched between Lockett and Zahid in 2028 so he should have a good idea where he stacks up best.

  10. Messenbrink seems to be anointed as a 3 time national champion and I am not going to argue against that. However I think two new additions to 165 next year could make things interesting. Joey blaze has looked awesome this summer and I think is a better folkstyle wrestler at this point, I think being able to eat more is going to help his development a lot on top of him being reportedly only 19 or at least as of trials. The other guy that I think adds a wrinkle to the mix is Ladarion lockett. He is probably still a year or two away from entering that conversation but he is in the only room that has talent and coaching around his size to rival PSU and I think has a similar style that has proved to give Mitchell some issue.

  13. There is no doubt that Mesenbrink is an outstanding wrestler, but I do think people underestimate how incredibly weak 165 was last year. The only truly consistent guys were Mesenbrink, Caliendo, and Hall. Just compare last years NCAAs versus the two years prior.. 14. That said, it was interesting that an 141lber went in to 157lbs and dominated all season and a fringe AA 165lber dropped and won it all... then the 157lbers beat up the 165lbers at the WTT at 74 KG.

  18. Yeah they're both great wrestlers. Can't go wrong with either. The original quarter century team is for NCAA wrestling so you can't factor in international. I mean honestly its cool that two of the top picks for that weight overlapped at all.

  20. Are you saying prices in 2025 rose a little bit after they rose by a huge amount the preceding 4 years? Great chart to show the truth of the situation. Notice how the charts pretty much stabilize toward the end. Indictment of Trump for sure. If he is to blame for stabilizing prices, who is to blame for having them rise so much? mspart

  21. Something that Ds seem unable to understand is that we the people pay all the taxes. Put a tax on a business, the people that by that product pay that tax. It is not just that the people pay for tariffs, it is that they pay for all taxes. So when a D says he wants some business to pay their fair share, that is a tax increase on those that by that product. Period. mspart

  25. i agree with Bruce. everyone knows the lead wrestler is stalling. just tell the refs to start calling stall calls at the end of matches and if it decides the result of some matches then so be it. the lead wrestler should have engaged more not backed up to the circle. maybe they will stop stalling/disengaging if they know the refs actually WILL penalize them. you don't have to back up to the edge of the circle. you can do other things to waste time that are not considered "not engaging". there's gamesmanship and then there's just running away.

  28. BB...so what you are recommending is to....smart stall. Stalling is ok now, eh? I would add to work "smartly" towards the edge, in case: 1) something goes wrong...discreetly get out of bounds, and 2) if my back is to the edge, circle in and take a 1/2 shot to make him go out...keeps the refs very happy. Perhaps it's semantics, but with a minute left and 1pt lead, I'm shutting it down, I'm done wrestling. You are essentially doing the same thing except you call it "don't stop wrestling." I'll give you a B+ for the stall strategy. 3pt. TD was a mistake imo. puts more emphasis on TD's and diminishes mat wrestling...headed towards freestyle, but that's another discussion. thanks for the tip, perhaps I'll figure out how to use it someday. I'm not a new poster. been on here many years. I just post infrequently and only when something piques my interest. And you were criticizing the referees for not calling what you think they should be calling.

  29. I think it was more of the injury limiting training or making him skeptical about training. He was posting him doing training lab stuff leading in but I wonder if they were not letting him wrestle when he got tired to try and avoid injury. I think you can do all the running/versa climber/bike in the world but if you arent blowing your lungs out wrestling I just don't think you can be in peak wrestling shape.

  31. Don’t sleep on Max McEnelly at 86 too. I think he has a really high ceiling and a lot of potential for growth over the next few years.

  32. If Henckle medals at Junior worlds this year then I would say he is in the mix for 2028. There are 2-3 legit senior level guys at his weight. Ferrari and Mcnelly will probably still be 86's by then as well although I have not seen Angelo wrestle freestyle in like 4 years.

  33. Leads me to believe that what we saw in Fargo was less effect of whatever the injury was still being there, and more effect of not enough time to fully train after recovering from the injury. How he looks in Poland should go a long way to answer that.

  34. What I think happens, and this is my prediction, not what I want to happen, is that he does make that drop back down. O'Toole, Haines, and Hamiti are all likely going back down - especially with Zahid, Dake, Starocci, PK all up at 86 KG for this cycle. O'Toole, I definitely want back down. Hamiti I want to go up. Haines? I don't know about him, yet. Wick? I wish he'd have gone through with his transfer to Croatia (although it appears his brother might yet do it).

  35. Some of the wrestlers they have listed for Iran are inaccurate. The lineup should be revealed soon. I have never heard of a wrestler by that name for the guy they have listed as the representative for Iran at 79, so I assume it must be a mistake. They also made some changes after Asian juniors.

  38. Matt Taibbi’s take: https://www.racket.news/p/in-brutal-document-release-the-russia?r=5mz1&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web “All three reports weren’t just unsourced and unreliable, but discarded fictions pulled out of the CIA’s trash heap. “They manipulated the manipulations,” is how ODNI Deputy Chief of Staff Alexa Henning put it. The Assessment was written by just five CIA analysts hand-picked by Brennan, but even these most favored lieutenants couldn’t accept the key pieces of evidence. Two of the five went to Brennan to say, “We don’t have direct information that Putin wanted to get Trump elected,” only to be overruled. The same thing happened when members of the group objected to the Steele material, saying it didn’t meet even “basic tradecraft standards.” When confronted on this point, Brennan reportedly said, “Yes, but doesn’t it ring true?””

  42. So help me understand why the dip shytes didn't deport them and why should they not be held criminally and civilly accountable for the shootings they committed after their gross negligence. negligence on two parts. Why are felons of any kind released to the public. Second. Why are illegal alien felons not held to a higher standard and either kept and prosecuted or deported.

  44. I agree it would be political suicide to go after Obama even though his hands appear to be all over this. I don't think the SCOTUS decision would protect him. But Rs would most likely take an electoral beating if they did it. I think it would be easier for them to go after Comey, Clapper, and Brennan though as they testified before Congress and lied. And I'm not sure DOJ will go after anyone. I would be supportive if they did, but this could be a case of diminishing returns. The Ds are on the verge of self destruction all on their own. Perhaps it is wiser to just let them fight each other and go crazy left until no one supports them. mspart

  47. Do you watch current college wrestling? A wrestler has a lead with 30 seconds to go in the third period and they immediately back up to the edge, then circle along along OB line, and they dare the referee to interfere with the outcome of the match. The problem is that referees have let wrestlers abuse stalling for so long that it's now considered standard and a part of the game. Referees should be less afraid to make potentially outcoming changing calls, and as they continue to do so, people will be more reluctant to stall at the end of matches because they know the ref is going to hit them.
