  1. Hasn't been discussed here, but this officially came down the pipe this morning. https://lehighsports.com/news/2025/5/27/lehigh-university-adds-womens-wrestling-as-26th-varsity-sport Sixth D1 to add the sport, joining Iowa, Presbyterian, Sacred Heart, Lindenwood and Delaware State. Among NCAA schools, that's now 116 teams. As of this moment, there's 37 Division II schools with the sport and 74 Division III. Definitely a plus since the academic profile of Lehigh is a draw.

  2. UB, advocating for hormone therapy for minors, which is giving the wrong hormones for the sex of the child to try to alter them, is child abuse and sexual abuse. These therapies often end up sterilizing the minors. And they don't understsand the ramifications. That is not healthcare, that is just simply abuse. mspart

  5. Before his performance at trials, I definitely underrated him. I figured he was likely a 5th-7th type guy next year and thought his finals appearance was due to an upset that was extremely unlikely to replicate itself, and the quadrant of the bracket below him falling perfectly to pave a path for Blaze to the finals. The Cannon failed challenge debacle happens and the 5 seed goes down in OT to #12 Fish. #20 Chumbley is able to knock off #4 Hipolito in double OT. And then he beats Fish to make the semis. So Joey Blaze beat #25 Santiago in round one 7-0, #9 Askey in tiebreakers 2-2, upsets #1 Kasak, and beats #20 Chumbley 4-2 to make the finals. His performance at trials, albeit in freestyle, showed that maybe his run wasn't so much a fluke, and he might have just been improving.

  13. The human body contains trillions of microorganisms — outnumbering human cells by 10 to 1. Because of their small size, however, microorganisms make up only about 1 to 3 percent of the body's mass (in a 200-pound adult, that’s 2 to 6 pounds of bacteria), but play a vital role in human health. https://www.nih.gov/news-events/news-releases/nih-human-microbiome-project-defines-normal-bacterial-makeup-body

  15. Basch said they were in April, August, and September and that Gilman has passed tests since September. I assume those months were all 2024. That time line doesn't appear to match up with the claim that the first one occurred after he had moved to Stillwater and they went to his State College, PA address.

  19. 57kg: I have Spencer in 2. I think that both matches go 6 minutes but I don't expect them to be overly competitive. If luke is unable to clear ties it could be bad for him but I expect him to be able to thumb block and circle and maybe sting spencer from space once or twice. Lukes best attacks are reattacks to low ankle or his picks I think his picks will be nullified for the most part. Ono could not move spencer to find angles So I just don't think Luke will and I am expecting at least one of Spencer takedowns to result in a turn and I dont see Luke getting two takedowns in either match. 61kg: I think a lot of people are picking Jax which mean you think Jax is going to win a world title this year because Ono is not in the field and Vito is pretty clearly the second best in the world. I am really not sure who I am picking perhaps typing it out will help. Jax has developed seemingly in the last few months some really nice low singles/low doubles from space but if vito meets him down there he could run corner on him so that will be an interesting piece of the match. The other area of importance I believe will be vitos arm drags vs Jax's over collar series. It will be similar to Vitos match with absasghadzi I believe in that sense however Abasghadzi was also looking for drags. I am going to go with Jax, this is not to take anything away from Seidel but that finals match was close at states and then Jax trained a lot in stillwater for 6 weeks and seemed to evolve. I don't know if he can make the same improvements in another 6 weeks but I would expect he has gotten even better and that is just a scary thought, so Jax and I am going 2-0. 65kg: Not a ton of analysis here I think real is the better wrestler but maybe not the most complete of the two. A low scoring match definitely favors Joey especially given what I believe to be a gas tank issue for Real. If he comes out tight and gun shy in the first match, I think Joey takes that one. The more wrestling exchanges that occur should favor Real immensely at least in the first. Give me Real in 3 after dropping the first one. 70kg: Perhaps I am a PJ duke hater I just don't think he can beat Yianni yet, however I think there is a very real chance he's our 74kg rep in 2028. I think its a decent cut for PJ and yianni spoke on the bader show that he's trying to leave the mat tired. If yianni can stay out of whizzer seat belt positions or getting super extended on shots I don't think PJ is going to be able to score enough to weather the storm. However yianni gets extended a lot and PJ has probably the most underrated go behind in the game. I think both matches are close in the first 5 minutes and Yianni separates in the final minute. Nobody has really wrestled PJ for 6 minutes hard and that is largely because he is so good at wrestling in his positions, but I do think his tank is a bit suspect. 74kg: MM in two. He figured out Carr last time. You can argue Carr got tired or that step out sequence where Mitchell got 1 where Carr was close to 2 to go up 6-0 swung it but I just think Mitchell made adjustments. Carr also did not look good at trials in my opinion and he had a new knee brace/sleeve so I wonder about his health a bit. 79kg: These two hit at WTT's last year and Evan was up on criteria pretty late but that was fresh 174 levi this is grown ass man Levi and I think he wins in two fairly comfortably. Evan does not present the same issues as Dean and I think Dean is a much worse matchup for levi. 86kg: Zahid needs to score early if Kyle is more acclimated to the weight. I think holding more size has hurt kyles cardio a lot. Will another month help that? I am not entirely sure but if kyle can go hard for the last 90 seconds Zahid could be in trouble. Without knowing that though I am picking Zahid. 92kg: Trent's physicality will be too much for Barr here in my opinion. I also don't see Trent wilting late like other guys have. 97kg: If snyder goes he should win not much commentary 125kg: Should be another day at the office for Wyatt.

Fishing in the morning with grandkids (they were happy as the fish were biting), an afternoon of sunshine while smoking chicken and ribs on the traeger, a fire and s’mores in the early evening and then topped it off with a couple late night bourbons in the hot tub. 29. It's difficult to pick a "main event" for this year's final X. The quad is shaping up the way it should, new reps working to get on the team and prepare for 2028. I would like to see the ones who have the best shot at a medal in the Olympics on the team either this year or next so they can get matches under their belt at the highest level. Really, despite what we want to see individually, the main even should be Dake/Z because Z has the chance to keep an all time great off the team. And depending on Snyder's decision to wrestle or not, there may not be any of the old guard left.

  30. Random fact: I live on the side of a mountain on 1+ acre. I can't dig 12 inches without hitting river rock. My dad said it must have been a glacier at one time. I just tried to auger out a bunch of fence post holes and had to dig out rocks on each one, and round they were. mspart

  34. Well, a lot of that is unknown, but related to those is the density of things like a neutron star or black hole singularity or whatever is inside there and just how big the universe is/how insignificant we are. I think a teaspoon of neutron star material weighs something like billions of tons or something like that Interesting side note is that if you did manage to collect some neutron star material and remove it from the neutron star, it would eventually decay into regular matter once you escaped the immense gravity of the star. So the neutrons would separate into protons and electrons.

  35. Man...you are on the verge of RV territory with your baseless claims. I'll wait for you to show me where my "continuous fall back is automatically TDS"?? Funny part of it is you display ALL the characteristics of TDS...and when called on it your "feels" take over and you lash out. IT's fine...everyone on here gets it, you blindly hate Trump...good for you...I'm not exactly fond of the man myself, but I don't look for the boogey man in everything the guy does or says...people with TDS do. And you stating that I have "nothing for the multiple threads started daily for the former President"...why would I...they are tiresome and not worth it to me. I guess I didn't realize that me not responding to posts is a demonstration of some mythical hypocrisy in your mind, one can probably guess where it comes from, but hey, you do you Rasta. By the way, don't flatter yourself if you think I give a S@$# if you feel I should do better or not. Have fun in your head feeling like you can easily pick that apart.

  41. They added "In God we Trust" on the bills in 1955 and "One Nation Under God" was added in 1954. Both were answers to the cold war and the communist scare. To say in one line that you "completely believe in separation of church and state" then basically say its ok they use religion as a reasoning to write policy is an oxymoron. Religion is a tool used by the ultra wealthy and those in power to stay in power. Heck, the church was pro abortion until Reagan and Jerry Falwell teamed up and made it their number one issue during the 80s. Reagan wanted the christian vote and Falwell wanted a spot on his cabinet. We aren't a "christian nation". The entire reason why we even exist as a country was because a group of people didn't want to be forced to join the Catholic church. We, as a nation, are supposed to be a melting pot of ethnicities. A diverse group of people and religions. THAT is what our forefathers envisioned for us. There's a group of people who seem to forget this.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss that it was a police officer posing as a 13 Y.O. or something as horrible. There are levels to bad, or evil, and that would have been a different level.
