Davino, Forrest, and Blaze - we have three out of four semifinalists at 57 KG with all four years of eligibility remaining. could be a golden age at lightweights if they all stay down5 points

Looks like he was wrecking Tomasello. Up 11-2. Looks like bad injury (maybe - lots of bad looks on face).3 points

Poking around, it looks like the Bout Board function or the Dashboard on USABracketing are probably going to be the best bets for mat assignments.3 points

I take what the athlete lists as their hometown on their school bio. I can also do “by high school state” … that could sway more to PA (Sem) and NJ (Blair) given they are boarding schools that have a lot of out-of-state students. HS state is trickier in the cases where wrestlers transfer across state lines - i’ve typically used the last place they wrestled (non-PG) as the high school. I don’t do per capita, because it assumes every person in highly populated states have the same access to the sport as they do in places like Iowa. If I were to compare this to a state’s population, it would be to NFHS participation numbers - the prospective college wrestlers, in my estimation, come from who is wrestling in high school, not a general population count.3 points

2011: Burroughs beat Nick Marable at the 2011 US Open immediately after NCAAs then beat him again at WTT. Dake chose to go to Univeristy Natl's where he got 2nd to Howe, then DNP at WTT. 2012: *Burroughs ran through the 2012 Olympic Team Trials where there were no byes 2013: Burroughs beat David Taylor at the 2013 US Open (Dake didn't compete) and then beat Dake at WTT. 2014 Burroughs won the US Open over Taylor then beat him 2x more at WTT. Dake did not compete at either due to injury. 2015 Burroughs got a bye to the finals and then beat Dake 2x under new direct bye rules. 2016 Burroughs became the real Magic Man when everyone disappeared from 74kg. He won the olympic spot, Dake fell short at 86. However Burroughs did not medal, therefore no direct bye in 2017. 2017 Burroughs once again beats Dake at the US Open, gets a bye at WTT, and then stop me if you have heard this before but JB beat Dake to make the world team. 2018 UWW creates a new 79kg weight class and Dake finally gets a chance to make his mark as he makes his first world team and first world championship. Both win medals. 2019 Dake and JB both enjoy byes to the finals, win spots and world medals 2020ne OTT JB gets the direct bye as the returning 74 medalist, Dake gets a bye to the semis as the 79 medalist and proceeds to snatch Nolf's soul on live television. Dake finally wins. JB and Dake switch weights for a couple years until 2024 OTT where Dake gets the finals bye, JB gets a bye to the semis and loses to Nolf meanwhile NLWC/PSU fans show their true colors. Dake had plenty of chances over the years, he just didn't capitalize on them.3 points

Cowboy RTC puts Forrest,Mckenna,Hamiti,Valencia,Hendrickson in the finals NLWC puts Lilledahl,Messenbrink,Dake,Snyder They only hit head to head at 86kg so it is possible that these two RTC's hold 8 of the first 12 (spencer and vito already there) spots in final X2 points

RV says he wants to reduce expenditures, yet complains mightily to the DOGE effort to do just that. He wants people who break the law to be held accountable, just not illegal immigrants nor leftist judges. He wants something unless it affects leftist efforts. In other words, he doesn't really want what he says he wants. mspart2 points

Yes they are. I like that the upcoming bouts are listed under the mat in dashboard also. Bouzakis and Tomasello in the hole on 2 for example2 points

Federal Law does not distinguish between a judge dong this, or a normal citizen. What RV wants is to have some people above the law. But he was complaining about that not long ago. It's ok today, not tomorrow. Maybe RV is just upset that it happened to a WI judge. Well, the WI judge should not have broken federal law. Immigration law hasn't changed. Enforcement has. mspart2 points

Even better yet, have PJ Duke sign an NIL deal with Randolph & Mortimer Duke. Frozen concentrated orange juice futures could use a marketing boost.2 points

Winning the Fargo crown year after year is never enough. How many IL guys are already in the senior greco finals this weekend btw? 4 out of 10 finalists ain't too shabby of a start 55 Jayden Raney 60 Zane "I already made the senior freestyle team" Richards 63 Ellis Coleman 77 Kamal Bey2 points

Seriously, you two should put the phone down for awhile. Enjoy time with those families you say you have. Or heck…if you haven’t heard… There’s a pretty big wrestling tournament this weekend you could follow. Just a thought. For your mental health…2 points

One of my college teammates just took 3rd in the D division. He was a weight class below me and a couple years younger, so I practiced with him some. He wrestled only about 10 pounds heavier than his college weight! I was that much over the day after a competition, and now about 30 pounds over.2 points

I did Veterans FS from 2000-2002. It was fun. They look a lot slower, but I found out I was a lot slower as well. It all evens out. They used to have guys in the F division that did not look good at all. Kudos for getting out there but scary due to injury possibilities. Fortunately, they were not that quick or strong so danger was not high. But falling down could be a problem. I am now in the E category. I hurt my shoulder wrestling and my neck in a car accident. I don't do the competition anymore. They all outclass me anyway. But I did continue asst coaching HS until a few years ago. mspart2 points

Sounds like a transfer to Ohio State is in the works because they don't work on escapes in high-pressure situations2 points

This actually makes the kid more likeable. Not one of those Jesus-crazed robots that fill out the rest of the PSU roster. What's more concerning is that he was taken down and ridden out by a cop.2 points

I skimmed thru it. It says 'the year of the Lord' was not in the Washington and early drafts. Then Franklin wanted a date and the witnesses to sign. Madison and the convention committee came up with notes for the intro. The final notes had the date then scribbled '&c--- " after it,. They hired a calligraphy guy and the script was written and shown to all and approved and then added. Basically the article sides that how the words got there is meaningless and up to interpretation. Its basic argument is that the Constitution is not a 'Christain manifesto' We all agree with that. It does however give evidence that all, saw it read it and approved the words, before it was added .1 point

Sounds about right. No protests. No plane flights all over the world by Democrats to try and bring them back. No 24/7 Liberal News Media reporting this. Sounds about right. Due process, hmmm!!!!!1 point

Wait. Due process matters to Ds when there is a red president but not a blue one. Crazy. I can’t believe this. not one blue person on this message board will comment acknowledge or pretend to care about this. politics are dirty aren’t they.1 point

Ideally this is correct. But in reality, if this had happened in the US to some dude, there would be massive outrage. There was no outrage for the Obama strike. Those same that had no outrage for the Obama strike now have outrage about anything Trump does, even when he said his goal is to deport all illegal aliens. He does it, they outrage. But I think few in the US truly care about this guy who was not peaceful and has a rap sheet and good riddance. If they bring him back to face deportation, what will be the result? He will get deported per Turley https://jonathanturley.org/2025/04/24/npr-abrego-garcia-was-living-quietly-in-maryland-before-he-was-deported/ The only reason that Abrego Garcia was not removed is that he said that he was being threatened by a gang that could harm him in El Salvador. That gang, however, reportedly no longer exists. More importantly, President Trump has declared MS-13 a Foreign Terrorist Organization, which bars the use of the justification for his not being removed. In other words, he has little factual or legal foundation under his original claims to remain in the country. I think Turley is correct. mspart1 point
