I would normally tipple a bit of the brown stuff. But tonight I think a trip to Belgium is in the cards. A La Chouffe and a Houblon Chouffe are in my future. What say you guys?4 points

It's really simple if you use even the most basic critical thinking. You need only take two of Bo's loves into account: Guns and god. So who can we remove based on those teachings? tOSU: false prophets Michigan: godless heathens that place false idols (team trophies) above all else OkSt: god hates fracks and the earthquakes are His way of telling Oklahoma to stop or else Rutgers: the jersey shore is a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah VaTech: Guns? VaTech has a culture of not shooting no matter what the scoreboard says So that leaves PSU and Iowa. Let's dive in... We all know Jesus was a carpenter. What tool do carpenters use the most? A hammer. That's why Carl famously loves hammers on top so much. But remember, Bo has that Machine Gun Mindset so Bo knows he needs to go somewhere 2A friendly that also supports biblical teachings such as turning the other cheek. What does Iowa have? It has Marinara who is Jesus Trained. It has Sam Stoll who loves his guns. And it has Vinny Turk who forgave a teammate for shooting him in the dark of night. So lap it up hawkeye fans i can't think of anything more american than a biblical scholar toting his machine gun into Carver-Hawkeye Arena3 points

Have there been similar exhibitions as part of collegiate duals in the past? Any involving coaches? Kinda wild, I love it though. Maybe they can add a couple more matches from their RTCs. Between this and Flo's event a month later, the state of Iowa is getting spoiled2 points

I heard a lot of talk on FRL about him before ever seeing what he looked like. Needless to say, I wasn't expecting red raid. Same kind of scenario when I found out Bubba Wilson was a white boy.2 points

As part of a Beat the Streets fundraiser, there was a Cal Baptist home match vs Iowa State which had a few senior level and youth level freestyle matches before hand. The senior level match was Cal Baptist assistant coach Elroy Perkins who was faced off against Yahya Thomas.2 points

Kaleb was going to start and then got hurt early on. it sounded like he was most likely out for the season with a prayer for him to come back late. haven't checked in on the situation in a while though.2 points

I’ve been hearing Pete Hegseth’s accolades for better than two years. He’s been a guest on many shows that I don’t suppose you watch. A recurring theme is his being a soldier’s soldier and an excellent candidate for a high position, especially involving the military. We’d be better off with a drunk Hegseth than a sober Loyd Austin, who was AWOL and unreachable for at least two extended periods during his term. When Lincoln received reports that Grant was a drunk, he said find out what he’s drinking and send some to all my generals. Your opinion that he’s a nobody, a backbencher, picked for his looks, is entirely fabricated and you couldn’t support it if you had to.2 points

That's sports. Got a killer defense that's adept at stopping a team's spread offense? But can't stop a triple-option? Your run and gun basketball team is great, but what if they can't sink a 3 and can't penetrate against a team with a pair of 7-footers? The best team doesn't always win a championship - and that's a good thing.2 points

But that becomes a coaching and prep issue which is part of what makes National Duals more exciting. You know who you will likely to face in the qrts beyond and need to be ready. When we had the National Duals it was a great event for fans getting to see some of the b team in early rounds or when the matchups made sense. But then along came Carl.2 points

They have one of the GOATS, Andy Hamilton. Kyle Klingman’s resume also speaks for itself - so from a position of “professional” writers, they have two of the best the sport has. Andy coordinates a network of writers who do the “insider” stories they feature on a number of programs. Guys like Jim Carlson and Travis Johnson have bonafide careers in journalism, others like Brian Reinhardt are former SIDs. There’s also some guys like Nick Corey and Dylan Guenther who have written for different spots, usually centered around a certain region or school. The insider stories are consistent and good reads. Engagement headlines for the social juice is just part of the world now - like most places - there’s always going to be a stinker of a headline here and there.2 points

I watched "Unstoppable". I think the highest of Anthony Robles. He's a great person and was a great wrestler. But I have to say that the film should be called "Unwatchable" instead. It's not that the acting is horrible (though it isn't good). It is just that the movie is lousy: formulaic, predictable, and sappy. It also takes great liberties with the truth and doesn't really include that much wrestling. Robles didn't wrestle in the finals his junior year against McDonough, though they have him doing that as well as in his senior year. Most of the film is about the family problems, which are sad but uninteresting. "Foxcatcher" was a dozen times better.2 points

I couldn't disagree more. The hot take sports media is the worst of all. People make claims just to create discussion, without even believing what they are saying. I can't watch a lot of sports shows because of this. I also feel duped and irritated when I see a video or article with a clickbaity title and then after several minutes reading/watching I realize that I just wasted my time because the content did not at all accomplish what the title suggested. I prefer the qualifiers and the solid, rational, reasonable takes that follow. I don't need disingenuous titles and takes to catch my interest, but that's just my opinion. I don't really understand the overwhelming disgust for Flo that so many people harbor. They're the best thing that has ever happened for fans of wrestling. Sure, there have been some hiccups (some bigger than others along the way), but when I was in high school and Flo started growing, it was the first time I was able to watch matches from Ironman, CKLV, Southern Scuffle, etc. Before that, all I knew were youtube videos of old NCAA matches and the NCAA Finals once a year.2 points

Sure, why not? I like how you assume to know things about me. I am just not a huge fan of hysterical innuendo and speculation for political purposes. I challenge you to find me posting about Biden's senility, Kamala's drinking/cocaine use, Pelosi's drinking, Clinton's affairs, etc. It really kind of bothers me. I probably tend to care most about policy and the ability to communicate it. BTW, I happen to have had a good working relationship with a close enough relative of Ted Kennedy's second wife (Victoria Reggie). I had been in Senator Kennedy's presence on three occasions.2 points

I signed in to say this comment is gross. Cael is not the God of college wrestling who rules by word. Maybe if duels mattered penn state would duel interesting teams and not just try to throw soft balls till the end of the year. Duels are better for everyone. They are better for fans because tournaments are chaos for watching your faves, nd they're better for programs because they foster rivalries and loyalty.2 points
