  1. The Pac-12 is starting it's rebuild by adding Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Colorado State. Two of those schools have had wrestling programs, Boise State and Fresno State. It is unclear whether these schools will add wrestling. However, in order to be a viable conference they will need to align with their sports. The six teams will collaborate to target more teams to be added to the conference. On a related wrestling note, the teams in the Pac-12 for wrestling are committed to rebuilding the wrestling conference. There are teams interested. Stay tuned. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/41226997/sources-boise-state-four-schools-set-join-pac-12

  3. Trump asked Kamala if she was supportive of abortion in the 7th, 8th, or 9th months. The moderators did not allow her to answer claiming they needed to move on. If they had permitted her to answer, that would have been actual news. If she answers affirmatively, it goes against what the majority of Americans think should be allowed, and it confirms what the conservatives have been saying. If she answers negatively, she will alienate her base. That would have been news and the moderation team protected her from answering that question. mspart

  7. Really excited for this. Comes out in December. Seems like it challenges Foxcatcher for the biggest names in a wrestling movie. Robles is played by Jharell Jerome. He’s been in a lot of stuff, my favorite being Mr. Mercedes. J. Lo plays his mom, Bobby Canavale (who was also in Win/Win) plays his stepdad, Michael Pena his high school coach, and Don Cheadle plays then-ASU coach Shawn Charles.

  8. Greetings All, I figured doing a 'tiers' list for the current entries for WTT this coming weekend would be appropriate and fun. Keep in mind a few of the following: - These are MY tiers. I welcome you to challenge them, however I also challenge you to create your own. I would love to see that. I can also be swayed, if you make a compelling and logical argument. Calling me a big stupidhead might work as well. - These are as of approximately midday of 9/10/24. - As most of you know/remember, my tiers are that you can win or lose to someone in your tier or a tier directly adjacent. It would not be expected of you to defeat someone more than one tier above you or lose to someone more than one tier below you, unless injury, Pinfellery, or something along unexpected takes place. NO TIER simply means I either don't know enough about them or don't expect them to defeat anyone aside for NO TIER gents - all due respects. - Have fun! 9. Sorry, but I'll play the naysayer. Despite the fact that Robles wrestled with one leg, he had big time upper body advantage. Think about it: how much does a leg weigh? 35 pounds? So he had the upper body of a 170 pound man, which was very obvious. Yes he had moves, speed, and strength of a solid wrestler, but he also was hard to take down because he wrestled with one knee to the mat position which left his opponents not able to surprise Robles, . I think McD looked confuses as to where to attack and I think he suffered from what most Robles opponents did: "I don't want to take advantage of this guy, so I'll...........what?" Not taking anything away from Robles: he was an honest champ, but wrestling him was weird; his oponents looked confused.

  16. Pro-choicer like Kamala Harris support leaving the decision about abortion between a woman and her doctor, without government involvement. Setting a time limit on abortion acknowledges that it becomes problematic at a certain point, and they mostly avoid discussing the specifics to maintain plausible deniability. Pro-lifers face a similar challenge when discussing whether ending a pregnancy from rape or incest constitutes murder. Many hold that belief but avoid stating it openly due to the controversy it sparks. It’s easier to compromise by allowing exceptions and setting a time limit. There should not be a Federal law on abortion. State law was the right call. ---- Kamala has taken numerous actions supporting bills, voted against bills, made statements, and refused to answer questions... that indicate she supports the mother's choice for abortion throughout the entire nine months of pregnancy.

  19. The opposite. I think this is a great idea. He can coach and prep for Worlds and show his team how it's done on the biggest stage. I think this can be very motivating and potentially serve as an exercise in bringing the team together. I hope he shows up, wins trials, and beats Sadulaev for the gold at World's to close his competitive career. It's all upside. Book it.

  24. I am not sure how they will seed gents who entered after 'pre' seeds were released. I do hope they do actually re-seed. If not, and you slide Haines in at 18, that would put him up against a large, multiple time NQ at 174lbs in Utah Valley's Romero then Burroughs. Romero was always as solid as they come, just had a lot of injury problems. If he is healthy and has been putting in the work, it could be a helluva welcome to 174lbs (79 KG). As far as Connor, we have already seen what he can do at 86 KG against most of this field. He did get the first takedown on Aaron Brooks, something that no other 197lber in the country was able to do throughout the entire NCAA season. OTT - David McFadden win via DEC 4 - 0 - Aaron Brooks loss via DEC 11 - 5 - Max Dean loss via TECH 12 - 2 US Open - Justin Rademacher won via DEC 5 - 0 Senior Nationals - Owen Webster won via DEC 7 - 1 - Max Dean won via DEC 9 - 6 - Mark Hall loss via DEC 9 - 2 - Evan Wick won via DEC 5 - 4 - Max Dean loss via DEC 8 - 4 Bill Farrell - Evan Wick won VIA Pinfellery - Alex Dieringer loss via DEC 9-3 - Mark Hall loss via DEC 4-1 I don't see him being able to beat a Hidlay or a Taylor, but there is no reason to believe that he won't be right there with the rest of them, if not beating them soundly. He is coming off a 'down' performance at U20s, but he has been at this weight and preparing for this weight for some time now.

  25. Added the Mirasola brothers and Haines to the tier list. I know one of the Mirasola brothers entered then pulled, but I left him on there. Below is where I might put them both (for seeds). For clarity, it was Cole (the larger brother) is the one that was entered last night, then this morning is not entered.

  26. The Peter Thiel controversy is just noise from the left when Nate Silver doesn't present data advantageous to Kamala. No different than the conspiracies Trump supporters claim when numbers aren't advantageous to him. Nate's out there taking fire from both sides. That's the greatest tell tale sign he's doing a wonderful job.

  30. His house increased in value due to the current administration's impact—high inflation, low supply, and a surge of immigrants needing housing. It’s a case of haves and have-nots: homeowners can sell at record prices but face the same when buying. Those without homes see ownership becoming a distant dream due to rising costs. I have a personal home and rental home... and certainly like the value on paper for me while also understanding how frustrating it is for my young work colleagues. I don't want to think about the costs for my children.

  31. Not cynical at all. My reasoning is based on data. Trump lost his debates to Clinton. He also lost to Biden. Won one election. Lost the other. People know who they are going to vote for at the start of the election cycle.

  32. I don't recall anyone stating Trump is a good character person who never lies. MAGA here wants consistency and objectivity. You can't have the moderators fact check only one candidate, refer to true facts as lies, and then ignore lies from the other candidate. The moderators and their ilk are outrageous, egregious, appalling.

  33. Trump is a bad man. Biden is a bad man. Harris is a bad woman. Quality of life was better (for me) under Trump than the previous four years. Quality of life is worse under Biden than it has been in my lifetime, and the future is setup to be even worse for my kids. Trump's policies are better for USA citizen families now and later.

  35. Why not just ignore it? You see BB has trimmed the list, just skip by it. This sport does not get enough attention, and he is good enough to run this out until his senior year. I don't stay up with it, I will get cliff notes and pay attention when he is down to 12. But at the end of the day, I just don't care. I do hold on to the hope he ends up at Iowa St, and I do think they will be in the top 12, but he won't go there.

  36. When I see large, sold-out crowds at Trump events, with even more people watching on screens outside, it reinforces my belief that he has strong support from everyday people. On the flip side, when I notice fewer people at opposition events, it influences my opinion that their support might be lacking. It’s like how Taylor Swift concerts sell out, so she must be good. Meanwhile, nobody goes to Oakland A's games, which makes me think they aren’t doing well.
