From the beginning, when you claimed that the IDF had bombed the al elsie hospital, killing 500 innocents, you’ve repeatedly posted lies about Jews while barely mentioning the depravity of Palestinians. Palestinians, ‘civilians’ who rallied, helped, joined in, partied, celebrated, and condone what Hamas did. Find one of these ‘innocent civilians’ you speak of. In Gaza, where the war is, not among the elitist, designer keffiyeh wearing, studies majors on the ivory’s lawn, but in Gaza, where the killers are. With regards to limiting collateral damage, it has already been pointed out that they’ve achieved the lowest rate in history, accomplishing it among the most militant population in the world. But you cling to a version of your own at the peril of your credibility. The police are involved because the mushbrains are breaking rules and laws. Is obeying rules and laws the behavior you expect of your friends, and they of you? And spare us the Fareed Zakaria, we’ve already heard the script.3 points

Reina was violently opposed to leaving the EIWA but Tanelli and Ayres led the charge because they thought it would make things easier for their wrestlers to qualify for the NCAA tournament. Now all three are gone. Harvard & Brown are on life support and Cornell is ambivalent. It's a travesty.2 points

1/3 of Iowans live outside the city. Over a million people. My wife’s entire family are all religious corn folk from western Iowa. We live in Chicago and neither us nor our kids have been murdered/assaulted.2 points

I’m thinking that this is a premature post. Let’s see how he actually does before declaring this a great path. You may very well be right, but given his complete lack of results, can’t tell right now. That said, I get the logic and can see why optimism is very high.2 points

16 States don't require an ID to vote. 212 electoral votes. 11 states require a non photo ID. 69 electoral votes. These states are prime for voter fraud. These states have a combined 281 electoral votes (270 required for election). The remaining 23 require a photo ID. 83% of blacks have access to smartphones. 85% of whites and Hispanics have access to smartphones. There's literally no difference for access to phones. Anybody that has access to a smartphone has the ability to get a photo ID. It would appear to be racist to say that blacks and Hispanics don't have the capacity to get an ID. Which has been the lefts argument. The left fights tooth and nail to not allow voter ID nationally, I wonder why that is.1 point

Valenti is a very polished coach and a very polished administrator. He might be the best spoken (future) coach in the league right now. Coaches at similar institutions should really take a listen and consider sending some of their guys into the AD administration trees, it clearly has prepared Valenti VERY well to become the future helmsman of the Penn program. He’s very smart in the way he is constantly giving credit to other people with just about every sentence that comes out of his mouth.1 point

list of guys I can see doing it from most to least confident Marcus Blaze (watching Lilledahl torch the field this week but not being able to really touch blazes legs kinda speaks volumes on just how good this kid is) Bo Bassett: my only real concern with Bo is burnout or injury I love his work ethic but waking up before 5 am during your developmental years constantly to train and it seems hes been doing it for years feels like it could come back to bite you but I may be reading too much into that I just think in a 7 minute match its gonna be hard for guys to stop him + he has 2 years of high school left) Ben Davino: I think hes lost once in 2-3 years in high school has not wrestled senior level like some of his peers but he has the last wins over blaze, forrest, knox I also think hes a career 133 which bodes well for him imo and I expect him to red shirt. Jax Forrest: This weekend was a bump in the road for Jax but im wondering if making 125.4 two weekends in a row and going through tough competition Is too much for him. Hes wrestled between 121 and 126 for like 2 years now and he has a huge frame would like to see him take time to grow like Bo did. The talent is not a question and his feel I think is just something you're born with the two more years of high school is also in his favor here. PJ duke: I wanted to see him against higher level comp and he blew me away.Probably not a real concern its just one match but he did seem tired against Webster in the second, Webster was just trying to make something happen and walked into an inside trip so I guess I have a small concern about his tank for 7 minutes but he has another year of high school so im not all too concerned Luke Lilledahl: Only thing that hurts my confidence in Luke is I think hes going right away and I believe hes a bit better at free than folk. That being said I absolutely think he could win it next year PSU if they have anything going against them is their 125 track record. Aedon Sinclair: If he goes right away for Missouri I don't think he gets it done, hes incredible but he did struggle with the physicality of the more mature guys at the LCQ so I think he needs some time to mature. Connor Mirasola: For a heavier guy this kids ability to score in different ways on his feet are absolutely unreal. Ladarion Lockett: Would like to see his handfight evolve a bit he may have issues with guys that are super positionally sound if he can't open them up. Melvin Miller: He's only a freshman in high school but this kids ability to find angles on his feet are beautiful to watch if you have not watched him wrestled Id watch his run through cadets its unreal. Hes also probably going to end up somewhere between 174-197 which given his skillset I think is a huge plus. I just think one of the other guys will do it first. Dreshaun ross: just a specimen of a human being kids like 7 feet tall and moves like a lighter guy, Unfortunately I think we may lose him to football.1 point

Do you have a source for the 2–1 civilian deaths? Is it one of the sources that counts children women and journalists as combatants?1 point

No sir, these folks are lying and distorting the truth. I read an article that said a couple of inputs were derogatory but most found no issue or variance with Israel’s claims. It’s most egregious that you claim some level of fairness saying both sides are wrong, but Israel is somehow the worst. You claim that it’s genocide, that the IDF is killing 20 ‘civilians’ to get one terrorist, but the analysts say that the number of ‘civilian’ deaths are below 2-1. That’s the lowest known number of civilian casualties in history for urban warfare. It’s less accurate because 75% of those ‘civilians’ fully support what happened on October 7th, and want Hamas to continue killing Jews, while a large number of ‘civilians’ participated in October 7th and the mistreatment of hostages afterwards. So your malicious exaggeration and feigned objectivity make your antisemitism evident to anyone with a room temperature IQ. As for the protesters, there are some well paid instigators leading some well heeled skulls full of mush, aided by incompetent, elitist faculty, towards self destruction.1 point

Kolat and Bono wrestled at the Dapper Dan at 135. Same weight Cary won his 4th title. Cary went 140 at NHSCA tournament to go after Bono. Iirc Bono lost in quarters then Roger Chandler beat that guy in semis. Kolat then beat Chandler in finals. They would wrestle again in NCAA finals in ‘97. Vague recall of Bono beating Kolat one year at US open or trials, shortly after the weights switched from 138/152 (Kolat was in Olympics at 138) to 132/145.5 and they met at 145.5.1 point

Zahid dropped the ball and all that per usual, but the match was a battle, I think that alone keeps Brooks from #1 despite the DT victories. Dake is clearly the #1 probably Snyderman at #2 then its just feel, I personally go Zain then Brooks/DT (Which I may favor DT's style against international competition) then its just a crapshoot of who you prefer, Spencer, Vito, Parris, etc etc.... I hope Brooks becomes our next unbeatable legend, but not sure what to expect against Yaz, Naifanov, Kurugliev, etc..... Either way, more fun topic than I expected.1 point

@uncle bernard Putting aside the issue of where one stands on this conflict, do you think the nature of some the protests have crossed any sort of line? Examples would be visibly Jewish students walking to class being accosted/surrounded and chanted at? Reports of protesters chanting “kill the Jews”. Occupying campus buildings, which are clearly against university policy. Are their ground rules for how a protest should be conducted? And consequences when those rules broken?1 point

No immediate retirements, though I wonder how much longer we will see Richards, Megaludis, Gilman, Tomasello, and DeShazer. All will be at least 30 by the end of next month. I'd be surprised if they were all still wrestling in 2028. I hope they still are. Danny Felix made his one and only world team at 35 years old at this weight1 point

I mean, the two college women’s championships now (NCWWC and NAIA) go on during the current postseason. I personally think they need to be away from the men’s postseason to maximin exposure. Not that many outlets to actively cover the men’s side as it is, which puts the women’s divisions at a disadvantage even further down the pecking order.1 point

Great question, I would think it's a person who's exceptionally good and the best of the past 15-20 years or so. So good they stick out from the rest. I don't think Brooks can be defined that yet. Gable is probably one. Snyder for sure. Mike Trout. And then you got guys like Shohei Ohtani who is what, a once in a lifetime talent?1 point

I was kinda trolling by my post, it'd be incredibly way too long if it was added to the men's tournament lol. The Olympic trials were very frustrating to watch because there was too much going on.1 point

when uncle bernard conducts these wars against potentially suicidal, certainly genocidal maniacs who are willing to hide behind their own children in densely populated urban environments he just acts really nice and it all works out.1 point

I didn’t read all the pages here. But will just jump in. Hamas, the elected government of the people of Gaza, planned for, prepared for, and then executed a planned invasion of Israel with the sole intent of killing, mutilating, and raping civilians along with taking hundreds of them (old folks, kids, babies, moms) hostage. Doing this by hand, face to face, savagery. Freaking definition of evil. Pure, unadulterated evil. Like freaking sick, disgusting evil. Pure terrorism. Pure targeting of ALL civilians they could find. Picture some group / government / organization doing this to the US. Seriously, picture it. Then, Hamas runs back to Gaza and then hides behind and under civilians. Absolutely on purpose. Thus, clearly violating the ‘rules of war’ over and over again. What did they expect Israel to do? What reaction did they want? This, they wanted this. They purposefully brought this down on the people of Gaza. The people that elected them. The people that did not report that this horror was about to happen (many had to know but kept it secret). And now, Hamas continues to fight. Continues to bring the fury of Israel down on Gaza. Refuses to relinquish all hostages. If Israel wanted to target.civilians and commit genocide, we would be talking about millions dead by now. I feel for the true innocents. I do. But what Hamas did rightly unlocked pure fury and Hamas hiding behind the innocents is the true guilty party here. ‘1 point

sorry for the 2nd goodbye but couldn't resist. You used the term "indiscriminately target", which is an oxymoron and makes no sense. Why speak incoherently? Because you couldn't say they are "targeting" civilians because there is no evidence of that, you just like implying it.1 point

The lawsuit alleges DCI agents told the athletes they were not the targets of the investigation but rather were assisting in an inquiry of sports betting companies. They may not have been the targets but an investigator is always looking for others who show up during an investigation. Their defense is what... We Got Caught and that is not fair?1 point

Yes. That's how Rights work in this country. It is like an illegal search and seizure. Their Rights were violated so they are suing.1 point
