  1. Spelling is in honor of Fleetwood Mac's legendary album. But in terms of actual rumors, there have been posts suggesting that: 1) An Ivy coaching change could send ripples through the coaching carousel 2) Virginia Tech will be announcing a former head coach as a key hire for them (rumor is its Roselli) 3) Oklahoma State will be finalizing their head coach announcement next week. Probably will be Coleman, but a few desperate last minute conversations will take place (and will be unlikely to materialize) 4) Connor McGonagle rumored to be headed to Virginia Tech with Latona bumping up to 141 and Crook redshirting

  2. Listen, when I think of gross things in wrestling, and I’m sorry to bring this back up, but David Carr’s booger flapping like a windsock still pollutes my mind. I’ve seen the YouTube videos of neck/spine injuries, but that booger is just the thing that gets me. I truly am sorry. I had to get this off my chest. Kind of a sticky memory.

  3. Back in 1980, the Chicago Sun Times published a review by Roger Ebert about a movie that "never finds a consistent comic note of its own," that also "never develops a plot," and that never allows the "central characters" to get "involved in the same action." He was writing about Caddyshack. By way of explanation of the comic strip below for the younglings, here's a very short :23 video of one of the greatest movies ever made: How does this relate to wrestling? Well, because Jombo™ has become involved. Also, it is my firm belief that the least likely person in the history of mankind to have ever liked amateur wrestling is Roger Ebert. And yet, in 1985, Ebert gave Vision Quest 3½ stars. I think that's pretty interesting.

  4. Key word is "bonkers" (mad/crazy)...If we are to believe the word was used correctly it would be something of the magnitude of a Terry Brands, Brock Lesnar, or some random dude off the street taking a head coaching position in the Ivies. My guess is it wont be so bonkers

  5. It’s long overdue. Only way to drain the swamp and keep it drained. No reason these people should become multi millionaires for representing their country. That being said 72% of all Americans believe you need a valid ID to vote no matter what state you’re in and that’s not happening either.

  6. I remember in the 1996 OTT when 2 defending World Champions failed to make the team - one KJ was also the defending Olympic Champion. Cross beat brands in a wild best 2 out of 3 series and Gutches beat KJ 2 in a row to back up the win he had earlier at US Nationals. Gutches had just graduated from Org St. and was new to the Senior FS scene. Anything can happen - that's why we wrestle the matches and I for one am glad that the USA picks their team this way. .

  13. There is certainly wide support for reform of term limits on Congress.. In a 2023 Pew research poll, 87 percent of Americans expressed support for congressional term limits. Constitution center.org : "The argument againstfor term limits supporters argue, term limits could reduce corruption and increase independence from special interests and partisanship. By rotating leadership, lobbyists and advocacy groups would not be able to “invest” in campaigns and curry favor over time. Plus, “power tends to corrupt,” so if power is limited, the thinking goes, so is corruption. On the other hand, defenders of unlimited terms point to the experience and independence gained from long service. With such a large and complicated federal bureaucracy, members are most effective—and most resistant to special interests—when they are most knowledgeable. Defenders also claim the idea is undemocratic—why shouldn't a constituency be able to reward and punish its representatives as it sees fit? (An incumbency rate well over 90 percent and the increasing levels of money in politics suggest elections may not be as effective a check on congressional failure as this argument contends.)" 90 Percent rivals the lifetime position of the supreme court. There have also been calls for the Court to go from a lifetime term to 18 years with a one term President able to Nominate 2 justices and a two term president can nominate 4 justices. Which sounds reasonable. The argument Recently, Rep. Ralph Norman and Sen. Ted Cruz proposed a congressional term limits amendment in Congress. The proposal limited the terms to six years served in the House and 12 years in the Senate. In September 2023, the House Judiciary committee voted down the resolution in a 19-17 vote. Will term limits ever be passed when congress themselves have a say in it? Power corrupts. When we continually elect the same representatives we are giving them the green light to steal and enrich themselves. The last report I saw Pelosi is worth nearly 250 Million, McConnell 180 Million, Gold Bar Melendez and countless others are getting loaded off the backs of Americans. When we elect a person for the first time we are essentially give them a golden ticket. See AOC and the squad of morons that are enriching themselves and we get nothing in return but to pick up the tab.

  16. My knee-jerk was Mike Grey getting poached by someone in the big ten. He's done a great job a few years in a row, Vito just graduated, and Vito was the last light weight guy he had a lot of years with in the room before becoming head coach. It would be lame for Cornell, but with the "Ivy League" becoming a thing, that will really take the shine off of Cornell's dominance in the future, going from a tier 1B conference to a tier 3 conference impacts schedules somehow. Grey is also coming off the best result he will have for a very long time as a coach, great time to find a new place somewhere else. It would have to be a really top team though at a school that really supports its program. Harvard gives zero craps about its program. They just have more money than god, and Weiss (seemingly) does a very good job of keeping the team on the university's good side. And not to intentionally poo-poo the idea of Tanelli going to Buffalo, but it seems like he's got the Columbia team built to a higher standard than Buffalo has been performing at, AND he has access to NYC, his high school stomping grounds for recruiting, and the pull of New York City. With another year or two, Columbia will be the perennial #2 behind Cornell (assuming Grey stays). Punching someone through to the semifinals this year was a big big deal.

  17. In order to “start a coaching carousel,” it would have to be a HC leaving right? If that’s the case, slim chance it’s at Cornell, Penn, Princeton, or Brown. My guess would be either Harvard coach to retire (he’s been there 30 years), or Tanelli to Buffalo?

  26. All of this is so stupid. I agree with VakAttack about this ridiculous obsession with Pyles, fueled by idiots like Mineo as if he owns some moral high ground. I think Pyles does good work, he's an excellent match commentator, and from people who know and work with him, I've heard he's a pretty decent guy. Not sure the same can be said for the folks who bad mouth him almost daily (ie Mineo, Kania).

  37. I think the difference between you and I is that I haven’t realized (until now) that his talking head content isn’t very informative. Honestly, my only reason for ever purchasing Flo and keeping an active subscriptions is to 1) watch live content and 2) watch Flo Films. I rarely, rarely watch any of the shows or discussions these guys have. So, I would say that I don’t “hate” CP, because frankly I have seen very little of his stuff. I think what peeved me about this video is that I thought he had some inside info (which one may assume that if anyone has inside info, it would be a big outlet like Flo), when, come to find out, he didn’t. So, I wasted 12 minutes thinking I was getting something more than the obvious. But, we all know what assuming does, so it’s my fault for the wasted time.

  41. Let's apply some Lobster Logic: Millions of people voluntarily build fences around their properties. Public servants in every jurisdiction wear gold stars proudly and conspicuously. Tattoos are displayed with joy by people. Free food, clothes, transportation, and health care are sought by people the world over. Therefore, if a government were to provide these things we all would be in a form of heaven. Anyone whining about having to wear a thin easy to attach gold star to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass. Anyone whining about having to get a small easy tattoo to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass. Anyone whining about having to live in a secure gated community with free food, clothing, health care, and all the exercise you want to help each other out needs a swift kick in the ass. There have been several such a benevolent governments that gave all these things to special people and also gave swift kicks in the ass to whiners with the temerity to complain. Lobster just loves those types of ass kicking governments and the type of people who implemented them.

Why did it take two centuries for India to gain its freedom in relation to the USA? What impact did the American Revolution have on British colonism and how it managed others like India? What impact did the USA have on India gaining its freedom?
