Welcome to leftist economics. All about the worker, not about the consumer or the business entity. Raise costs on the business, raise costs to the consumer, consumer decides he/she doesn't need the service. Basic Econ 099. mspart2 points

No one thought Wally Pipp, one of the best power hitters of the dead ball era, would lose his starting spot to Lou Gehrig just because he had a headache one day. After tonight's Rutgers dual we have to ask, will Starocci lose out to Barraclough? Will Kerkvliet lose out to Cochran? After all Cale has no loyalty to anyone. Just ask Nevills. How did I do @Jimmy Cinnabon?2 points

Con - has been very divisive. Said he would bring the country together and then immediately calls half of the country MAGA extremists who want to get rid of democracy. Very similar to Hillary calling half the country deplorables. This does not bring the country together, it further divides. If you don't believe that, ask yourself why we are so divided as a country and then ask yourself what he has done to bring us all together. He can't put sentences together without problems. Cognitively impaired. Ruined the border, gave us inflation like we haven't seen, put energy companies on notice that he is shutting them down and signed an EO to that effect on the first day. Pros - He's not Trump and completely dismantling his policy wins with stupid tweets etc. mspart2 points

I believe ESPN has rights to the NCAA championship for the next 8 or so years. Now they just need to promote that mf.2 points

Pro - Generally policies were good. Immigration, Israel embassy to Jerusalem, Agreement with many middle eastern states and Israel, Getting NATO nations to pay more for their own security, promoted national oil extraction keeping prices down, did not squander the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, did not see rampant inflation, Cons - Did not move quickly on border wall, did not clean out DOJ and FBI, did not drain the swamp or even get close, signed some bills that spent too much, I can't think of anything he could do different on the foreign front. Gets in his own way, can't let a good policy happen without sabatoging himself. I myself was tired of the drama. I would rather someone else be the candidate. mspart2 points

Is it pistols at dawn? Based on rankings alone they both come down to bonus points as PSU is ranked highest in 5 weights. But, I think there is a general consensus that Mesenbrink should be ranked higher. With only Hamiti above him from the B1G, I think PSU would then be favored.2 points

Can we all (even Iowa fans) just agree that the guy is a POS and should be ignored? He is a skidmark on the sport and is just a bad person who has nothing to offer the world besides healing crystals and date rape jokes. Can't wait till he goes MMA and gets his ass handed to him.2 points

Beau is the nicest most genuine kid. Always complimentary of his opponents. After his loss to Alirez last year at NCAA's he said he couldn't wait for the final to watch Alirez and Woods. He took his lumps for the team and aquitted himself well up a weight for 2 years. Mad respect for the smiling assasin.2 points

This is pretty stupid. So blacks are just supposed to sit back and let the man take it to them? That would make them last longer? More drivel from the left to keep the black man down. That is their MO. We will fight for you. they vote them in but nothing changes for the better. Where are they since the 1960s? In worse shape than they were back then. mspart1 point

It is now or never. She lost in the 800m free for the first time in 14 years last week. Pour one out for what was the longest winning streak in history, but now is the shortest.1 point

Trump certainly did open up some doors on the corruption in our government. It’s like he says “it’s you they’re after, I’m just in the way”1 point

The Big Ten correspondents (Kevin and Ryan) once again join forces with the ACC (Robbie) to bring you another addition of Conference Crossover Conversation. This week the guys talk about Nebraska stunningly dominant performance over Michigan, along with Penn State topping Iowa in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Robbie talks NC State's 125 lb situation and a possible Vito/Orine matchup in the Wolfpack's non-conference dual with Cornell. For the full show:1 point

Don't forget that I sent sentiments of peace and a peace sign a day ago. You responded like a jerk (again.) What part of peace and understanding isn't getting through to you? Start 'seriously' acting like you are open minded, objective and non-partisan. That will contribute. It starts with you. (Or just keep bitchin' like a jerk. Your choice.)1 point

Scott Adams, the creative force behind the Dilbert comics, has laid out a thought-provoking analysis in a post on X that has gone mega-viral and maps out exactly how we got here, step-by-step. Here’s what Scott said in his post:1 point

Someone should really come up with a pro con page for both. Just calling them dumb and evil misses the mark every time. We had 4 years of one and 3 years of the other. We should be able to objectively judge between the two based on their policy results. mspart1 point

Way to deflect without answering a question. I am not in a position to have influence over policy and laws, however I vote for representatives that have that ability. Democrats introduce bills to help make American's lives easier. How are conservatives trying to help when they vote no on any legislation that helps the US population?1 point
-
What help do conservatives provide except money and weapons for genocide and war crimes? Do they promote legislation to provide lunch for students who can not afford it? Do they promote legislation to help veterans? Do they promote legislation to help with the border crisis? No they just vote against. How can you in good faith say that when conservatives have not authored or passed legislation that has helped anyone in any amount in years1 point

When ranchers in a state like CO, UT, NV, or NM run their cattle on USFS or BLM public land for incredibly small head fees, yes, the US government is doing a lot of work to support that. Fencing, cattle guards, etc. All of that is put in and maintained on the public dime. Remember Cliven Bundy? The jackass who didn’t want to pay to run his cattle on public land? Yeah. We subsidize him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Is going to Russia even an option? It's been on the State Department's "Do Not Travel" list since the Ukraine invasion, and I'm not aware of any USA Wrestling-sanctioned visits to Russia since the invasion, nor since Russia was barred from international competition. I'm not aware of any specific rule barring a US athlete from flying to Russia and competing, but I suspect they'd be doing it without the support of USA Wrestling.1 point

Miklus only had 27 bouts. Never had a pigtail. 2015: 7 bouts to earn 7th (lost R2) 2016: 6 bouts to earn 6th (lost in SF) 2018: 6 bouts to earn 8th (lost QF) 2019: 8 bouts to earn 6th (lost R2) A finalist at NCAA will have five bouts. Non-finalist All-Americans pickup extra bouts by: Having a pigtail (+1) Losing in the first two rounds of the tourney and make the blood round (+1) Win the blood round bout (+1) Wrestling the consolation semi-final (+1) To have eight bouts in an NCAA tourney you need to make the consolation semi-final after: losing a 1st or 2nd round bout, or having a pigtail and losing in the QF It's only possible to have nine bouts if place top 6, and have a pigtail AND lose in either the 1st or 2nd round. The extra year for COVID makes it necessary to normalize by the number of tourneys. Only guys with 4-for-4 or 5-for-5 should be eligible. Adjusting Miklus' count and normalizing gives us the following for the list provided:1 point

That's 1! He was the 4 seed and lost to Corey Wallman (Wisconsin) in the first round. He came back to place 3rd with 8 straight wins including a consi pigtail. He beat the 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8 seeds along the way.1 point
