I’ll be doing an updated show on this as soon as I get a confirmation on two things - the moratorium on creating single sport conferences is over and the CAA interest in sponsoring wrestling again. I shift my structure every time there is a conference move and now it’s time to update.2 points

Oregon State has a significant endowment and is 100% supported by the university...it's not going anywhere.2 points

It's the Democratic party man. It's about inclusion and Identity politics. Screw the masses and parade the freaks. Teach kids that perversion is OK. Push racism and sexism disrespect for elders. Disrespect for our History and disrespect for our country. This Russian guest on Bill Maher explains it perfectly in less than a minute.2 points

There's objectively much less to do in the areas surrounding Columbus, Ann Arbor, State College, and Iowa City than the Bay Area, LA, and Seattle. The same is true for Utah, Oregon, etc, for those who like hiking/camping/the outdoors. That's just a fact.1 point

Not true, in Illinois you can stare out your picture window one year it'll be corn and the next year will be soybeans ... diversity man. But sure, in Georgia it'll always be peanuts.1 point

I think a big thing for Cal, Stanford, and Washington is that there’s professional football in the Bay Area and Seattle. So nobody cares about college football. There didn’t used to be in LA, but now that there is, I wonder how that impacts USC and UCLA.1 point

MW, WAC and N. Col won't leave the Big 12 for another conference. The only way that happens is if the Pac-12 and said conferences merge into their own conference. The schools would then be members of that new conference and would have to compete in the new conference as members. The Pac 12 is in discussion with the MW right now in the formation of a new conference. One question, is will the Pac 12 name swallow up the MW teams or vice versa. There are several scenarios at play. In the ultimate wrestling world, your scenario above plays out, but it won't unless those school are formed into a new conference.1 point

The only thing I love more than a what about argument is a made up what about argument.1 point

The problem here is that you've made a claim and just assumed it's true for the purpose of making your argument. Not every death is a huge news story, tragic though it is to the deceased person's family and friends. A certain segment is trying to weaponize this tragedy with no evidence other than they were employed by the Obamas. It's the Seth Rich tragedy all over again.1 point

We would enjoy his services at the Dallas, Texas castle lol. Then he might be rumored to be the leading HC candidate for the hopefully proposed D1 program in Texas. They haven't raised the money, haven't made an official announcement, but Tony Ramos is currently rumored (by the clowns in Texas that claim to know everything about the wrestling scene) to be the leading candidate for the HC job. Please donate.1 point

Yes, they had a lot of seats left.... The capacity of Pac12 stadiums is very low in comparison to B10 or B12. The average attendance of B10 football games is approximately 4k-5k more than USC which had the highest avg attendance in the Pac 12. The average B10 attendance is 15k fans larger than every stadium in the Pac 12 except for USC and Washington. Just some perspective. https://www.si.com/college/stanford/football/ranking-pac-12-teams-by-average-attendance-in-2022#gid=ci02b8bac4200125d6&pid=6-arizona-state1 point

Jail time coming up if proved guilty. Can’t drive a 2000+ lbs hunk of life-threatening metal down the road impaired. Not right. Feel the same about passing on a blind hill / curve. Unacceptable. Need severe penalties as deterrent for other a$$holes%.1 point

I disagree. First of all, the Big Ten will only accept AAU schools. There are research funding standards that have to be met to become an AAU school (among other standards). Thus, it is a huge part of conference realignment. I believe the ACC is almost as choosy. About AAU schools: "Sixty-one percent of the total research funded [by] the U.S. government, or $25.6 billion annually, is performed by AAU faculty. Thirty-eight percent of all Nobel Prize winners are faculty members at AAU institutions." The media deals that the Big Ten signed are worth $1 billion annually. That is divided by a bunch of schools. Now, here's the game: Let's say a school gets almost a billion dollars in funding from the federal and state governments and various manufacturing companies. They put that money into research and innovation. Then, they get to option and license any lucrative new processes or patentable inventions. You want the best possible partners in this research to gain prestige and print money. Now, it is not all about research by a long shot. Administrators are going to not leave a dime on the ground when they can pick it up and pocket it. So, TV media markets, compelling sports teams and other intangibles like fan interest come into play. But don't forget that it is not Athletic Directors who are voting on conference realignment. It's Chancellors, Presidents and Deans. The stuffy business people.1 point

In a related development, the NCAA has opened an investigation regarding allegations that Messrs. Husker_Du and Bob Dole have been promoting an illicit "sig" betting scheme on the internet. They have retained the services of prominent attorneys Vinny Gambini and Vak Attack to represent them in this matter. Most legal analysts are predicting the alleged wrong-doers will walk away either scot-free or with a Hunter Biden type sweetheart plea agreement. Stay tuned to this forum for further developments.1 point

For years now I’ve played the lottery. And in doing so, I’ve wasted so much time and money. Not only that, but I end up losing more than I win. Heck, I’ve never won! Well, okay, fine. That’s a lie. I did buy of those cheap $1 tickets before, and guess what I won?! Another ticket! Isn’t that just the bee’s knees! But that’s not even the worst of it! One day, they had a special lottery offer. The prize was millions! I went out and bought as many tickets as I could afford. Which was quite a few, mind you. Apparently, I’m not the only one who likes to gamble though. There were tons of people waiting in line after me. And oh boy! When they found out that I had bought the last ticket, things start getting interesting. People yelled, screamed, argued. Most surprising of all though, people started whipping out their money to buy the tickets from ME. At first, I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t dare give up even a single ticket. What if one of them was the winner? If I gave up even one of them up, would I give up my chances of winning? But, as quickly as I thought those things, I asked myself, “What are my chance of winning really?” Like, honestly… I’ve never won a thing in my life. Except for that other ticket of course. But here, right now, I could sell the tickets I had already bought and make a tidy little profit. So, I sold them for a little more than I paid, and by the end of the day I had made about double of what I had spent. Plus, I still had two tickets with me! And being in good spirits, I went home and gave one of the tickets to my newly 18-year-old brother, absolutely free. And what happened then you ask? Well, the next thing I know, the numbers were announced and, like always, I didn’t win. But someone I know did! And that someone was my brother. The brother to whom I gave the ticket to! The brother who had never even played the lottery before that day! The brother who didn’t share a single cent with me!! Didn’t even say thank you!!! The brother who then moved out and we never heard from him again! What luck!1 point

No way is Snyder P4P 2. Lost to Sharifov in 2019 worlds and was literally seconds away from losing to Goleij of all people in 2021. He's a slight favourite if Sadulaev at 97 disappears but I would put a few guys over him p4p.1 point

Apparently, the video of the Shaman was not available to the shaman at the time of his trial. His attorney apparently was idiotic and got a plea deal that included no appeals. He got 41 months for walking around in the Capitol in a strange costume. It is mandatory for the government to provide this evidence that they knew they had and did not provide it. The Shaman has a great basis for appeal if they can figure out how to make that happen. His trial was patently unfair due to lack of esculpatory evidence that was withheld from him and his attorney unlawfully. I know some of you are not concerned about that but this is legal malpractice on the part of the Federal Government. If you (speaking in general here) are one who doesn't care about the Shaman, is this really how you want the Federal Gov to work? It can easily be reversed to apply to you or someone you support. Isn't it much better that justice be applied evenly across the board? Isn't that what we should all want? For my part, I do. If an rioting arsonist was imprisoned and the prosecution did not provide all evidence they had, that is a breach of legal ethics and that case would be ripe for appeal. From a legal standpoint, there is no difference here. mspart1 point
