  1. Didn't he try to kill his wife or something? Also, did Chittum's daddy sign off on it? Heard he was pissed that Swiderski was pushing him up to 165. Also heard Swiderski told Daddy Chittum to pound sand and to go chop some wood.

  3. The Federal buildings fall under the FBI’s purview, but they certainly didn’t utilize their vast resources (as they did for J6) to bring the perpetrators to justice. Four arrests out of 150+ at the ICE building vs. using credit card receipts, RFI scanners, facial recognition software, cellular geofencing, reassigning agents from investigating child trafficking, etc. to arrest over 1,000 for January 6. ….Not to mention, every “protester” at the George Floyd riots should’ve been arrested for attempted murder, since they were breaking social distancing guidelines at the height of the most lethal pandemic in the history of the world.

  4. Let’s be honest here, the US interferes with foreign elections far more often and at a greater level than Russia. Russia and China are more concerned with sowing division than they are with picking winners and losers.

  5. It couldn't possibly have been that you had a god awful candidate . It couldn't possibly have be that the conservatives were not giving the pollsters accurate data. The pollsters fell for it so did Hillary and her election team. Watching the media slowly melt down on election night was priceless.

  6. No, but to act so offended by their actions while we’re doing much worse is disingenuous at best. Also, where is all the outrage about China’s election interference? What about the Ukraine’s meddling in our politics?

  7. I don’t expect them (POL) to change that decision, ever. That country hates Russia. Little story. My wife’s grandmother is from Poland, near the Belarussian/Ukrainian border. She’s in her late 90s, nearly blind, and senile. Thinks my 4 month old is 3 years old, thinks my wife is her sister, etc. But if you want to get a moment of absolute clarity from her, find a video of someone speaking Russian and play it nearby. She’ll spit on the ground and start cursing in multiple languages. Polish, Urdu, Hindi, Spanish, etc. She and her sister, mother and grandmother were captured by the Russians and spent time in a Siberian gulag during WWII. Lost a finger and gained a really crappy tattoo. When the war ended they were released and traveled from Russia, through Kazakhstan, to Pakistan, then India, where they boarded a ship for Mexico. Lived in Mexico City for a year or two before ending up in Chicago. It’s not just the old Polish people. I worked with some Polish dudes on the far side of the world who said that they were itching to take some Russian scalps. They had never been personally injured by them, but hated Russia and Russians. Bobcia’s stories must’ve been pretty effective. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Why should we care what your wife’s siblings think? Are they lawyers? The prosecutors probably didn’t want the hassle of dealing with endless court filings by Hunter’s lawyers and likely having a personal and professional smear campaign waged against them had they not offered a favorable plea deal. It’s just better for everyone involved to slap him on the wrist and part ways.

  12. Technically, it was a run-on sentence.

  13. I kinda feel like Plas’ answer above is pretty solid. I’ve read numerous opinions (not social media/chat room but people in law) that say no one first time, guilty plea, would go to jail for this plea. Many would be fined and if without enough funds paying on those fines for a bit. But…that’s opinions.

  14. Geez… You see that “?” at the end of the sentence? That little guy there means I asked a question, not made a statement or any implication. Stick to what I said. None of the people charged with these crimes has ever been a President, nor a leading Presidential candidate for a major party, so all precedence goes out the window. I also believe the Secret Service has more say than you’d think. It was them who negotiated the terms of surrender and the manner for which the processing took place in New York (almost everyone gets cuffed, without exception, but Trump didn’t). Even with electronic monitoring, the Secret Service would likely raise serious security concerns. It’s equally insane that the FBI buried Hunter’s laptop and refused to indict Hillary because they supposedly didn’t want to interfere with those elections, which just so happened to be against Trump. Do I believe it’s all a big conspiracy? I don’t have to. The appearance of corruption is just as damaging as actual corruption. It’s like if someone has 20 shell companies and makes complex monetary transactions from foreign sources through them; it doesn’t matter what the reason for it is, because it just looks shady on its face. That being said, I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know much in the grand scheme of things... It’s mostly speculation and somewhat informed opinion, but it is fun to discuss this stuff and read different perspectives of real people (not paid shills). I never get worked up over politics on here, and, half the time, I’m laughing as I shoot off a post just imagining some of the other posters fuming about it on the other side of the interweb. I honestly don’t care what happens with Trump or Hunter or the Big Guy (I just hope he hangs in there long enough for there to not be a President Kamala).

  15. Do you really think the secret service is going to let him be held without bail? Electronic monitoring and/or home detention… maybe, but still unlikely. Really, any condition that limits his ability to campaign will be considered election interference, and I don’t think any judge will want to give that perception. Even for a prosecutor to ask for it could come back on them in the trial and subsequent appeals (if convicted) as evidence of malicious prosecution with the intent to disrupt his candidacy. On the other hand, I could absolutely see a backroom deal being made with all of the prosecutors involved and Trump’s lawyers, where Trump will cease his candidacy and fade from the public eye in exchange for all charges being dropped.

  16. I think that’s something to be expected, given those released on their own recognizance were likely done so based on the low probability they wouldn’t show up for court (I.e. strong ties to the community, no lengthy criminal record, no history of jumping bail, etc.). If signature bonds/ cashless bail were given out willy nilly to 50% and cash bail to the other 50%, it’s highly unlikely that the cash bail would bail jump at even close to the same clip as the cashless.

  18. Primarily each circuit w/in Florida seems to have a "bail/bond schedule" that gives suggested amounts for each charge, but the judge is allowed to alter it as they see fit. My personal experience arguing bond motions is that every judge I have been in front of has told me that a person is entitled to a reasonable bond, not an affordable bond (or some variation of that argument). When the judges are doing their analysis of the bond amount to be set, I've not one time heard them take into account an individual's financial resources. It's only enhanced by various GPS monitor programs which the individual is required to pay for themselves, and they have to pay an upfront fee. Typically it's $100 up front and then something like $12 per day. Within my circuit, the way it works is this, except for certain charges (domestic violence charges, DUI, or any arrest pursuant to a warrant that has no bond) a person has a bond as soon as they're arrested in most cases pursuant to the schedule. Then, at first appearances (typically the first morning after an arrest) a judge sees everybody and bond can be altered. We (defense attorneys) can file bond motions to have it heard, but at least in front of my current judge (I'm a Public Defender, so I'm in front of the same judge all the time right now), the bond is rarely ever modified unless it's being revoked totally.

  19. Reporting on some of their economic woes is hardly speaking ill of China in comparison to what they report on Russia and Putin, even in personal manner, that they never do with Xi.

  20. What corporate news organization dares speak ill of China? Fox is the only one that even feigns consternation of Ukraine. When it comes down to it, if we don’t want other countries f’ing with us, maybe we should stop f’ing with them. We are supposed to provide the moral compass for the world, and we fail miserably on that accord.

  21. Well.. despite the apparent and obvious Chonk that is Sadulaev's new nickname there have been some who have said he hasn't weighed over 100 KG. While I doubt that, it leads me to believe that the injured Cox is pulling a White Goodman in anticipation of Snyder winning another Worlds Gold medal. Even though I think Chonkulaev got considerably heavier than 100 KG at his highest, I think Cox is more at this point.

  27. Well said. Also there are little safe guards to prevent it from happening. There are very little repercussions if you do get caught .There really is know way to know who is actually voting on the ballot . You have ballot harvesting . You have mail in ballots.Who is actually voting. Some polling places have 100 percent plus voting .Really !! Lets face it in the last election there was know way in hell that any court would ever touch an election regardless of much illegal voting was found. The country would never recover from the massive effects of a fraudulent election . Voters would never trust or have confidence in the election process.

  33. All you need to do is go to the Colorado HS state tournament to understand why. Sure, they can get 10 mats on the floor, but the mats are right up against the dasher boards and the scoring tables are in corners or in penalty boxes. The 200x85 NHL-sized ice sheet makes the new arenas pretty tough too. St. Louis had the Olympic ice (200x100) for a short time, so their floor space is wider, which is why head tables and scoring tables at the Enterprise Center were optimal. New arenas that have hockey aren't going wider than NHL boards with their floors as much as they used to.

Hillary herself was complaining... why am i not 20 points ahead...

  37. Have you read Robert Caro's biographies of LBJ? In "Means of Ascent" he tells an amazing story of Johnson having his first election stolen from him (by Lone Star beer of all entities) and then using what he learned there to successfully steal his next election. He put in just enough fake votes to win earning him the sarcastic nickname Landslide Lyndon. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_13_scandal

  38. Some current happenings to unpack when discussing our country’s need to be energy independent: Saudi Arabia negotiated a peace deal/ normalized relations with Iran with the help of China, completely cutting the US out of the talks. Saudi Arabia is looking to join BRICS. BRICS is looking to replace the USD as the world’s currency. Saudi Arabia just cut oil production another million barrels/day, while we are just beginning to come out of an inflation crisis. This decreased supply of oil will likely cause inflation to creep up, thus prompting more interest rate hikes. The increasingly high cost of borrowing will continue to cool our economy until it tips into recession. A recession will destabilize the USD, thus giving incentive (an excuse) for BRICS to ditch it. A weakened USD not only means its value will decrease, but our ability to impose sanctions will decrease. If we cannot effectively sanction “bad actors”, we lose our status as sole superpower.

He also use to say about dumb guys, "he couldn't spell cat if you spotted him the c and the a. So one day I am doing a crossword puzzle and one of the answers is cat. I finish the puzzle except for the t which I leave blank. I take the puzzle in his office and tell him I am struggling with the last word and need his help. He looks pretty self satisfied until he looks at the puzzle, gives me a disgusted look, and throws it at me.

  40. Host selection is a bid process and an NCAA school or conference must be affiliated the with bid. It doesn’t have to be a school that sponsors wrestling or school near the host city or in the same state, but usually those kinds of schools are the ones interested in bidding. The closest school with wrestling to Las Vegas is Cal Baptist in Riverside, CA followed by Bakersfield, ASU, Cal Poly, and Utah Valley. Hard to imagine any of them would be really Motivsted to bring NCAAs to Vegas, but perhaps if some person/entity in Vegas really wanted to get the tournament one could be recruited to join the bid. Cal Baptist and Utah Valley are in the Big12 but it is unlikely the Big 12 would be motivated to bring NCAAs to Vegas. The PAC-12 is the only school or conference I could see that would want Vegas to host and try and put together a bid. It could be seen as a somewhat central location for all the schools. “A member institution or member conference of the NCAA must be designated as the host institution/conference for the Division I Wrestling Championships.” https://s3.amazonaws.com/ncaaorg/championships/marketing/2019_bids/wrs-d1.pdf

  45. I am not a conspiracy theorist but, in my opinion, we would all be pretty stupid to think that voting fraud doesn't happen more than we know. Hell, there is cheating in every single thing people do in the US if there is a chance for financial gain, so why wouldn't there be cheating in regard to one of the biggest money and power grabs there is...the presidency of the United States?
