  3. Cool thing I noticed you can do with clubs is the ability to add pages to the club I went ahead and added Bellarmine's schedule to the club for instance, https://intermatforums.com/clubs/page/1-schedule/

  4. If this is true, it really tells you what voters think of Trump and anyone he endorses. As others pointed out, so many things should have favored the Rs, but Trump has led the party down a path that revolves around him and his ego and not policy. A D next to your name makes you evil, dontcha know? That is an absolutely insane assertion.

  5. I've suggested for years that BTN pair a pro with a rookie for a season. Then you have a new crew of people who can then be versed in the sport and then train the next generation. Now that BTN proper is owned by Fox, we get their contract guys (like Ray Flores) who have to do a set # of events in their contract for Fox, and BTN events get lumped in there. I've lived in Big Ten country for 10 of the last 13 years and have gotten a call ONE time to work at Minnesota for something - the Day 1 stream of the National Duals in like 2013 just when I moved back. I would have loved an opportunity like Student U. when I was in college. I had two TV games before I graduated college - one as a sideline reporter for Comcast Sports Net and another for a locally produced women's basketball game where I had no color or even on-screen clock. That WAS my TV sizzle reel. The amount of reps these Big Ten guys get these days is so valuable.

  6. Goodale has really done a great job for The State University of New Jersey. The year before they hired Goodale, Rutgers Wrestling was on the chopping block and wrestled every match in front of 50 fans that didn't pay admission and had zero NCAA Qualifiers. They now are always top 4 in PAID attendance and Division 1 Wrestling in New Jersey is now followed by so many fans. https://www.onthebanks.com/2022/11/11/23454257/rutgers-wrestling-coach-goodale-picks-up-200th-win-as-the-scarlet-knights-down-clarion-29-4

  7. He was a risk too coming straight out of high school. But Coach Goodale has great presence and he knows how to handle Jersey folk. He’s made a career out of it and has taken Rutgers to new heights. He’s done a great job attracting the top NJ kids while sprinkling in a few from out of state. Congrats Coach Goodale!

  9. Thanks, I worked hard on that pic. I had to get the lighting just right and contort my face just so and it came out pretty good!! Ha. So I saw what was said to be Rankings and they didn't make any sense to me, this close after the WCs. If they want to encourage participation in the ranking series, then call it that, instead of the year end rankings. That's what doesn't make sense to me. I don't agree with how UWW does this. I think it is fine to award the top seeds after the ranking series are finished for the year. That is goodness. Just don't call them the topped ranked wrestlers after the WCs have just finished. Call it something different. Mike, I appreciate your patience on this. You brought light that I didn't have. It doesn't make it better but I sort of understand it now. I thank you for that. I'll bet your foot is not so tiny! mspart

  10. This will sound like I'm quibbling ... but generational talent? How many generational talents have been popping up the past 10 years? I'm guessing more than just Forrest. Spencer Lee? Gable Steveson? Yianni D? Kyle Snyder? I bet we can add more. Not sure the term 'generational talent' is right. Unless generations are all of 1 year long. But even so ... there are some other super high schoolers right now.

  11. Is anybody else having problems with wrestlestat? I know you need to have a profile to see results now, but I still can't see full season results even though I'm logged in. I've tried across 3 different devices and had the same problem.

  12. I think we're in violent agreement here. Since we're doing lists... I don't know why you think I don't understand. I do. You missed out Continental Championships The point is that BETWEEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND JANUARY 1, UWW wants to give out cash awards to the top 3 point winners in all 3 disciplines. This is for going to lots of ranking tournaments, etc, WHICH THEY WANT TO ENCOURAGE. If UWW didn't want to give these top 3 points awards and cash, they could just fold it into the World Championships. This is clearly intentional on UWW's part. You can disagree with the structure, the motivations of UWW, the unfairness of it all (stamps tiny foot), but you can't credibly maintain that we (at least I) don't understand what you're talking about. P.S. Looooooove the profile picture..

  14. You know where you might be able to get them? Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20221027182934/https://intermatwrestle.com/rankings/college You put in a URL, and it will tell you every date that they crawled that URL. Click on the result, and you get the page and some links that may or may not be the most up-to-date.

  25. Well Hawkes/Harman - Montalvo lacks a bit of luster after seeing what Saldano did to Montalvo. If Harman doesn't win comfortably and Hawkes os not on shirt, they should consider him in the lineup. He is a bit thicker so the brutes won't be as brutalizing.

  32. an example of what? that you don't need a weight in the middle b/c they can figure it out and still be uber successful? your thesis was that kids leave the sport b/c their isn't a weight class for them. i'm asking for examples. as a very small high school kid, i wouldn't mind 118 for the kurt mchenry's of the world. but pragmatically, that's an outlier. ask any college coach in the country what's the most difficult weight to recruit and he'll tell you 125. because they just never stay small enough.

  41. Honestly, those weights take away from the middle, which is where we already have a glut of wrestlers, and move them up top, where there’s (aside from heavyweight) fewer wrestlers. I get the idea of rationalizing with freestyle, but for the NCAA population, they make no sense.

  42. 1. He's not irreparably brain damaged. He has Auditory Processing Disorder. All it means is that sometimes he doesn't process things he hears correctly. The problem is mitigated through closed captioning technology and speech therapy. Unless you think deaf people are unfit for office, he's perfectly capable of serving. 2. Even if he were brain damaged, the people who voted for him have a correct understanding of our system. When you vote for senate, you are voting for an agenda, not an executive. He just has to show up and vote on the issues he supports. If you support the democratic agenda, why on earth would you vote for Oz? I'd vote for someone in a coma as long as the agenda I support is properly voted for. As for the overall night, Republicans need to look in the mirror and reassess the insane path they're on. This should have been a layup for them. A glorified corpse in the white house, inflation, gas prices, wage stagnation, looming war with a nuclear power, etc...And yet, the majority of the country looked at what they had to offer and said no thanks. Embarrassing. Eventually they need to ask if they are the people living in a bubble.
