  1. Noah announces his medical retirement from wrestling today. Thanks for everything Noah, you’ve made Mizzou fans proud. Best of luck on your future endeavors.

  2. Could you convince these? They look rather angry. My oldest was in Aero Eng. Senior design project was always a specific build and then flight competition against other universities, their university usually won. If the design specs had been flying headgear they could've made it fly fast.

  3. The ref had a choice, but he made the wrong one. The Easton wrestler did not slam it to the floor or throw it into the crowd. It's clearly outlined below.

  4. Conference finish. They rewarded Adam Kemp, who had 3 losses, for winning 2 matches to win the Pac 12, and Wolak, who had 4 losses, for winning the EIWA. And also put Welsh ahead of Starocci for taking 3rd at B10’s despite 4 losses including a H2H loss to Starocci. Edit: But even Nomad who is supposedly an expert on the seeding matrix called Starocci’s one of the 2 most surprising seeds in the whole field

  5. The author just got it wrong. The rule is unambiguois. The five free dates only applies to the first year of enrollment (true freshman year).

  6. I think he'd give Kerk a run now. Steveson is hard to understand how you take that guy down and gotta have a td to win.

  7. I was wondering much the same. Since the match didn't go all 6 minutes- couldn't the call be 1 match point and since it's now a 14 pt spread (I think- forget what the actual score was) do you keep going?

  8. I don’t know if it matters for the interpretation, but the headgear was discarded prior to the “end of match procedure” not after. Is taking off your headgear and flicking it aside after that final takedown in the same category as doing it on the way back to the bench or is it more like doing so between the first and second period? That there is a rule (based on a judgment call!) on the books that allows for team points to be deducted for chucking a headgear is something that a detail oriented coach would warn their athletes about. i can’t actually tell if ILB, my favorite poster, is joking here or not. It does seems to me that the the ref is afforded leeway to make a judgement call. Again, very poor judgement in this case unless there some context about the red team being warned about headgear tossing/throwing already. my perspective here is influenced by being a former track athlete and listening to coaches discuss in detail all the weird rules over how uniforms have to match for a relay team. I know all sports have quirky officials, but I do think track has a reputation for having some of the worst power trips by referees. I know that the coaches I mentioned above weren’t just basing their lectures on the rulebook, there was also real live examples of this that had to deal with over the years. Throwing a relay baton in celebration after a track race doesn’t get a team point deducted. It gets you DQed from the race. Just like in wrestling, these unnecessary rules tend to be more likely to be enforced the more important the competition is. Knowing all the rules is important. Needlessly flinging your equipment to the ground after a match is about as impressive to me as a kid who doesn’t know how to cover the bottom man in referee’s position. But that is all forgotten when noticing how smug the ref looked making that call. Who wants to win on a technicality anyway?

  9. Some YouTube account posted the dual thankfully and mannnn the ref was a bit of a homer. Shumate had a great reversal to the guy's back at the end and McCrone had his guy pinned clear as day and he didn't call it.

  17. You made it clear that you copied and pasted the information from your included link. What is just as obvious is that you didn't actually take the time to digest the "facts and data" that you were posting. It's as if you found something on the internet and blindly trusted it. Which, by the way, is is a literacy function... one that you failed. So using the information you posted as being actual facts: Let's check some math: #1 - 14% of adults can't read 258m adults in total = so roughly 36m can't read #3 - 19% of high school graduates can't read roughly 90% of adults have a HS diploma 258m adults in total = so roughly 44m can't read see: Census Bureau Releases New Educational Attainment Data These stats appear to be off by 8 million'ish - which is unacceptable BS. Another math check: #2 - 21% of adults read below 5th grade level 258m adults in total = so roughly 54m adults #6 - 45m adults are functionally illiterate (below 5th grade level, per your link) These stats appear to be off by 9 million'ish - which is unacceptable BS. Last one, and not a math check this time: #7 - 50% of adults can't read a book written at 8th grade level Given the way the last election went, I can almost believe this one. Almost. Just another friendly reminder. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Oh - and one last thing - How do these incorrect stats figure in with the Department of Education? They don't. Another literacy (and logical) function that you failed. Without the DOE, it is very possible the stats would have been worse. The relationship isn't directly causal.

  18. I appreciate having a diverse set of perspectives here. I just thought it was clear to me that based on both spirit and letter, that the referee made the wrong call to me. Ultimately, I suppose that each of our own opinions are less relevant than the collective. I don't have an accurate way to gauge that consensus, but if twitter reactions or reactions on this board are any indication, it would seem to be in favor of the wrestler from Easton.

  26. i didn't insinuate it change your worldview. nor should it. i'm just saying that many people on the right made the claim that feds played a part in it and, right on cue, they were called tin foil hatters by the mainstream news viewers. the same pillars of light that denied wuhan, got vaxxed and boosted 8 times, and believed the steele dossier.

  27. Because they were there on their own time. Do you know what informants are? They're members of the group they're informing on. In criminal cases, they're almost always still committing crimes. The information they provide protects them. Likely the case here. And the degree to which these people informed is not clear. The 26 could refer to anyone the FBI made contact with or received any information from. Trust me, the feds are well integrated into every political movement in this country. It's an open joke in left-wing circles (who are historically who the feds have targeted). It don't think it's plausible to say that this whole thing was manufactured by the feds, which I take to be the insinuation? I think it's more likely that these people were stupid, passionate, and misled by a man they deeply adored into thinking the election was stolen and things got out of hand. As someone who was present at a lot of Pro-Palestine protests, I can attest that though people didn't show up with the intention to be aggressive, when cops show up and start shoving, all bets are off. Just human nature at that point. That's my best explanation. And I'm willing to admit I'm wrong if more info comes to light, but what Willie posted is not that big and he misrepresented it on top of that (or at least the tweet he linked did).

  33. Yes, exactly. Somehow, now that some of the J6 crowd were willing to accept money for information. They've suddenly turned into paid FBI agents in some peoples' (so-called) minds. (It's almost as if 50% of adults here can't read at an 8th grade level.)
