Hey neutral, Riddle us this. Why was Penny the only one prosecuted when there were at last two others helping him restrain Neely? And one of the was black. It is apparent that more than one person thought Neely was a threat. But I'm sure you would feel much better if he knifed or clubbed someone before being restrained. Why should someone have to stay in the presence of someone threatening their life? Because they are trapped on a subway train, that's why. On the street, a different story. Many on the train testified in favor of Penny. So take your fake outrage and put it to better use, like say with well reasoned arguments. mspart2 points

Because it’s unique. Lots of people murdered, but how many high powered CEOs? Murdered execution style, gangland style, not as a result of an argument, not a drug deal gone bad. Coinciding with an insider trading investigation and a protracted divorce. Until now, unknown perpetrator. People still want to know why and how he’s connected.2 points

Brown Sugar is undoubtedly the best. When I think of Pop Tart, that is the flavor that comes to mind. It actually was so good that it bummed me out when mom would buy Smores over it. That being said, Cherry is not too bad, but definitely not a top tier. Wild Berry is good. I actually prefer Blueberry if we are talking about the more fruity flavors. Chocolate Fudge flavor is pretty underrated in hindsight.2 points

Time to retire the "Friday mail bag." Sporadic, sophomoric content that's more about snacks, basketball, baseball, etc. and other topics that have nothing to do with wrestling. The questions are so bad and non-existent, it thankfully cannot be put out every week. Intermat articles and content are worth reading, but the real content is in the forum. The information is entertaining and informative, the mailbag not so much.1 point

Passengers said that Neely was threatening them and they were scared in a way they have never been after 30 years of subway use. One witness testified to the grand jury that Neely’s menacing words — which included ravings that “someone is going to die today” and that he was “ready to go to Rikers” — were “insanely threatening” and delivered with a “sickening” and “satanic” bent. A witness “believed he was going to die as Neely began approaching him,” the motion read. “He described the moment as ‘absolutely traumatizing’ beyond anything he had ever experienced in six years riding the subway,” the lawyers wrote. And a different person — this time, a retiree who’s been riding the subway for more than three decades — told the grand jury that she’d never been more scared. “I have encountered many things, but nothing that put fear into me like that,” she testified. Passenger Moriela Sanchez's 911 call said that Neely was “trying to attack everybody.” Passenger Caedryn Schrunk said "There was a moment where I truly thought I was going to die," Another witness — who was with her young son — told the grand jury that Neely said he wanted to hurt people. “I want to go to Rikers, I want to go to prison,” she recalled him saying, adding that her nervous son asked her why the man would want to be jailed. “Mother and son took cover behind her son’s stroller, shielding themselves from Neely, who was now making ‘half-lunge movements’ and coming within a ‘half a foot of people,” the attorneys wrote. Another witness, who was commuting from her high school, said she put her hand on her classmate’s chest and began “praying them doors would open” the second Neely said someone would die. Other passengers said that Neely was throwing trash at passengers I cannot find the 52-page motion with eye witness testimony available to the public. Above are lesser discussed newspaper quotes from passengers.1 point

You know it wasn't too long ago that words (I'm anti-abortion, I'm anti-trans, etc) were considered violence and could be met with violence. But now that it went the wrong way, words are not considered violence. Make your your minds all you lefties. It is either violence or it is not violence. You can't have it both ways. The words used in this case were absolutely violent leading Penny to take action. I' bet he wishes he just left aft the next stop too. So much for trying to protect innocent people. mspart1 point

Love the people that know EXACTLY what happened and EXACTLY how they would act, and even better, they know how others should act. We need more people like Penny who will stand up against the crazy whackjobs who threaten the lives of other people. People who are against doing so are the pathetic ones and suck as human beings.1 point

If someone on public transportation screams that they are going to kill me and they don't care if they go to prison, I sure as hell am not going to sit around and see if he is bluffing or not.1 point

Adam waters I believe teched or pinned his way through as well. Neither guy was at the most competitive weight but its still ironman so obviously the competition is still stiff. Andrew Alton may have pinned his way through back in 2009 as well.1 point

Not to get all fanboy about Bassett, but ... has anyone ever had a more dominant run at Ironman than Bassett's run this past weekend? He won every match by tech, including in the finals in 2:23 -- which was the LONGEST of all his technical falls. I mean... c'mon. That's insane.1 point

Barr looks like a serious NC contender. I can't wait for him to get into the meat of the schedule. He has a chance to wrestle Buchanan, Cardenas and even Elam in duals this year.1 point

Barr over Beard was the biggest shock to me. I wasn't shocked that Barr could possibly win - but that he would do it so convincingly...1 point

The Flo app ok your smart TV is frustrating for many reasons that have never been fixed. If you go to a tournament and look at the match replays that recently occurred, you either cannot scroll through the entire list of all matches that have occurred or it will just perpetually repeat the matches it just showed you when you scroll to the bottom(been like this for years). Very hard to watch select matches. So I used to click on the matches I wanted to see on my phone and then reload the TV app and watch the Continue Watching videos, but that is gone now. Not sure when Continue Watching disappeared, but this shouldn't be what anyone has to count on, but if you're watching one match at a time because there is no split view on TV and it is the quarters and multiple mats have matches you want, then you need to be able to track down replays of matches that just occurred.1 point

Also, I'd like to point out that this event appears to have promoted positive changes for Americans who are insured by BCBS and required anesthesia for upcoming surgeries. See? This guy is a martyr already. /s People often say that governments should fear their constituents. Perhaps the same should be said of corporations that feed off of those same people.1 point

It is a cowardly act to shoot an unarmed man in the back. It used to get you hung quicker than anything. Most of the Scandinavian and European countries that have gov’t health care are either encouraging or moving to private health insurance. Gov’t does nothing as efficiently as the private sector. That people don’t want to give up gov’t healthcare or social security is not proof of its superiority, it’s more an indication of their fear of being unprepared to manage the expense. For most, had the money they contributed been invested at mediocre return rates - they’d be better off. Those with gov’t healthcare still face denials of procedures and medicine. Long wait lists, denial of high cost prescriptions, wards as opposed to private rooms, and a shortage of supplies is ubiquitous. Canada has now resorted to euthanasia as a solution. Healthcare is expensive and caregivers are in limited supply. Wealthy folks will always get more and better than the poor. But money doesn’t guarantee health. Life isn’t fair. And you don’t have the right to take or make demands of someone else’s.1 point

Concussions are just one of those things you don't mess with. Saying a kid is faking is 1) impossible to prove, and 2) extremely bad faith and the ultimate adult child response. We had a kid on our team in college, absolute world beater, built like a brick sh*thouse, total monster in the room, and on the mat for the two occasions we were able to get him out there. Problem was, he had an issue with concussions. Flick him in the forehead the wrong way and congratulations, he can no longer retain anything that he reads for the next six months. This is not to be messed around with. Wrestling is a sport. It is of zero significance against the livelihood and wellbeing of the people who participate in it as athletes.1 point
