I don't understand. The two things were separate. Pyles apologized, said it was there error. Separately, he (rightfully) called out the white knighting of people who claimed they were so aghast at the error and how it ruined Blaze's moment, all while conveniently amplifying the news so MORE people saw it (thus exacerbating Blaze's perceived loss) just to dunk on Flo/get the street cred. He never said it was other people's fault that Flo screwed up. The way people act as apology police is insane to me. "He apologized, but not in the exact way I arbitrarily wanted him to!"5 points

that its Elon is a secondary topic. 1) They are starting a Department of efficiency and 2) You don't like who is leading that department many of you nitwits are suggesting the department is unnecessary at all despite obvious incompetence, waste, and corruption for years, even self reported like in the above link on point 2 there are infinite avenues of inquiry into government waste. being utterly concerned with the 5 instances where Elon may have a conflict of interest is either sheer stupidity or simple stubbornness4 points

so basically "its not our fault for leaking it, its your fault for seeing it". That isn't a good point, its blaming someone else for your screw up.3 points

It was 2001, not 2007. We did so with 0 finalists, with Leroy Vega, Jared Lawrence, Luke Becker, Brad Pike, Owen Elzen and Garrett Lowney all losing in the semis(3 in OT). Damion Hahn and Brett Lawrence had to fight back a long way to AA2 points

Release the report. Gaetz needs to go through the same hellish nightmare confirmation hearing as all the rest will. If he did nothing wrong, that should be in the report. mspart2 points

The made a mistake and announced something that was going to be announced anyway, prematurely. Whooptie-doo! There are far too many real problems in the world to spend actual energy worry about something like this. Y'all should take this energy down to your local old folks homes/children's hospitals and go visit some people.2 points

The world, and the wrestling community, is full of real problems. This is not one of them.2 points

It was, "chicken shi te" of Pyle and Spey to say anything other than, 'Sorry, we messed up.' How anyone can defend them by using this, 'white knight' BS or any other nonsense is as silly as me responding again...2 points

They announced something prematurely. They apologized to the family. The family said its fine, no problemo. This should be the end of the story, but random people online are still losing their minds over it.2 points

Why does Flo have so many haters? Is it just the 10 minute soliloquys and occasional poor live feeds or is it something more?2 points

the left just aren't serious about anything. you got a million people including Vak, here, and liz cheney on twitter say 'how can it be efficient if there are two people for one role' i mean, you can't be serious. you guys are aware that DEPARTMENTS have more than one person, right? and that Elon and Vivek don't need the money. just say you're tribal, and move on. b/c you make yourself look silly. the American people pay in obscene amounts of money and politicians spend it with the indiscretion of a child. again, no one that pushes back on this has a serious argument. it's insanity. leftist tears and nothing else.2 points

All these things can be true at the same time: CP's finger pointing/deflection is super lame, and Flo's attempt to own the mistake via him and Spay was mostly halfa$$ed. ...AND... Whenever Flo screws up, there is mad rush to the interwebs to amplify it to the wrestling world and to build their own online cred. Some people really, really enjoy it. Most were not as upset about the mistake as they where about thrilled about the opportunity to take it to Flo again. That's pretty lame too.2 points

He's not just plain boiled potatoes, he's plain boiled potatoes pretending to be duck a l'orange in an incredibly time consuming fashion while constructing its own echo chamber and stultifying the promotion of the sport at its most significant media outlet.2 points

David Taylor's coaching debut... OSU against Pendleton's Alma Mater.... some good story lines and some good matchups.2 points

Perhaps, they will include him if he is that good. I just don't see where cutting wasteful spending is a bad thing, no matter who does it. You are more interested in the who, I am more interested in the get 'er done. mspart2 points

Below is this weekend's lineup. It is debatable whether it is an "All Star" slate. Using Flo's rankings, there is exactly one #1 ranked wrestler. And one matchup that features #1 vs. #2. The average ranking for the 20 wrestlers is #4. On the positive side, there are 6 guys ranked #2 and 4 guys ranked #3. But there are also 2 wrestlers ranked #8 and one at #9. "Star"occi is clearly an All Star. I get it though. Some wrestlers have other commitments. Some might be injured. Some see no gain in competing, and so on. But perhaps the event should be billed as "Al(most) Stars" or something of the sort. In any event, which matches are folks looking forward to the most? 197: #6 Stephen Little, Little Rock vs #9 Zac Braunagel, Illinois 285: #3 Nick Feldman, Ohio State vs #8 Taye Ghadiali, Campbell 125: #2 Jore Volk, Wyoming vs #5 Tanner Jordan, South Dakota State 133: #2 Nasir Bailey, Little Rock vs #6 Lucas Byrd, Illinois 141: #2 Jesse Mendez, Ohio State vs #3 Beau Bartlett, Penn State 149: #2 Shayne Van Ness, Penn State vs #3 Ty Watters, West Virginia 157: #4 Tyler Kasak, Penn State vs #5 Peyten Kellar, Ohio 165: #8 Hunter Garvin, Stanford vs #4 Peyton Hall, West Virginia 174: #2 Levi Haines, Penn State vs #3 Cade DeVos, SDSU 184: #1 Carter Starocci, Penn State vs #2 Parker Keckeisen, Northern Iowa1 point

I'm guessing they will use him for a few key duals (maybe Neb, Iowa, tOSU, Mich, SDSU) where a forfeit could make the difference in the dual. The press release said they expect him for Campbell on 11/24, who has AA Ghadiali at Hwt. More information about his schedule has been said to come out on Monday.1 point

I'm bringing my son Sunday. He was always more of a football guy (probably from growing up in Texas), but we made the trip to Corvallis in March for Pac 12s and he had a blast. He can't wait for Sunday.1 point

At the end of the day, I don't care if Musk (or Pelosi) makes billions (or millions) if the country cuts trillions in spending.1 point

This: Musk said on X that he'll launch a "leaderboard" to track spending and crowdsource ideas for cuts. SNL will have to much material lol. so many folks are going to hate him for this…. Calling out the crazy spending the gov does on total nonsense. This may be fun.1 point

He may be a nutcase. Not defending him. Pyle still wanted to blame the folks that posted about it instead of just taking the blame like an adult. He used the, 'yeah but what about them defense.' It's childish and comes off weak. We wouldn't be talking about it if Pyle said, "we ***ducked** up" and left it at that.1 point

You can take the quote marks off of conflicted. It is a long, high dollar list: Tesla is the largest beneficiary of zero-emission credits from the government that they turn around and sell to other manufacturers for billions (you can see this in Tesla earnings). Note: Weren't you against EVs? Tesla's Gigafactory in Nevada received $330mm in tax credits. What are the odds he will determine a tax credit for one his projects is not efficient? SpaceX has a $2.89 billion contract to develop a lunar lander. Is there any chance that putting people on the moon will be deemed redundant by Musk? Do we need people on the moon? What if it costs $3 billion? SpaceX, Blue Origin, and United Launch Alliance all compete for government contracts. What are the chances a Blue Origin contract proposal will be deemed less competitive? What happens if Musk is allowed to see a Blue Origin or United Launch Alliance contract? Is that anti-competitive behavior? In total SpaceX has gotten in excess of $19 billion in contracts. Who will decide if those are efficient? Do we expect Musk to tell us when he padded the contract too much? Musk has often broken securities laws which sometimes lands him in trouble with the SEC. Will he decide the SEC is inefficient and move to cut funding? What about other agencies that regulate his companies?1 point

Bassetts birthday is August, 2006 he is 18 I may lose my mind if I see his age mentioned again he will graduate at 19 turn 20 before his freshman year. Yes he is old but its not something that has not been done before and will be done again.1 point

Because they are smart and know how identify problems and solve problems. In real business it is mandatory if want to be successful.1 point

The office that is already in place does not seem to be doing a very good job. Matter of fact they are doing a piss poor job. Trying to cut back on government programs is going to be met with a great deal of resistance. It might take an Army to pull their funds from their cold dead hands.1 point

if you're losing your ***ducking** mind over an attempt to identify and curtail massive amounts of taxpayer money that gets wasted by bureaucracy you've been indoctrinated. frankly it's one of the more important things that need to be done in DC and frankly, i won't take anyone who says differently as a serious person going forward. you're a joke and a clown and in denial b/c you're married to your party.1 point

Untrue. How do you think the waste got there in the first place? So that this Senator, or that Representative, could brag to their constituents that money was being spent in their district (and that is the benign view). Everyone wants to cut the other guy's waste, not their own. But they all make deals with each other of the form, if you vote for mine I will vote for yours. It is mutually assured destruction. Kind of like the cop shows where the dirty cops need to make sure ALL the cops are dirty. Now, Musk's idea to publicize it all has promise. It is the only thing I can think of that MAY work. But let's not be naive and pretend this isn't promised in every campaign, but never delivered. Trump's swamp draining promise is still a pipe dream, after all. I side with @VakAttack in the worry that the fox will be in charge of the hen house. The government already has a Musk problem. He violates numerous rules for contractors, but gets away with it because they no longer can launch a rocket without him. There is a saying in finance. If you owe the bank $1 million and cannot pay, you have a problem. But if you owe the bank $100 billion and cannot pay, the bank has a problem. The same is happening with Musk and the government.1 point

It really is not a quote if you replace it with your own words. Nor did I make the claim you are objecting to. Caveira asked a specfiic question that I gave a direct answer to. As for streamlining operations, it is related to why advertisers cut back. Those streamlined operations included cutting back on content moderation to such an extent that advertisers were appearing along side content that they did not want to appear along side of.1 point

It may be funny that it takes 2 people to find inefficiencies. But what if they do? There has never been a serious effort such as this to find wasteful spending and innefficiencies. What if they are successful? Would that be a bad thing? What is the real problem here? mspart1 point

This is super exciting. I'm not sure how one of the best young guys of all time returning could be less than exciting. Especially with a defending champ in his weight. And it probably indicates he will resume wrestling for the USA at a time when we didn't have a single champ. And somehow people want to downplay it?1 point
