It is what the fans of the smaller schools want. They want to see their team sell more tickets, they want to get up close and personal with the best. It is why many of these teams publicly thank PSU for scheduling them.4 points

Very interesting WKN. Here's a very interesting link that I think you might find very interesting. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/democrats-in-ohio-wisconsin-and-michigan-run-ads-touting-their-work-with-president-trump/ Democrats in Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan Run Ads Touting Their Work with President Trump Following up on Friday’s Corner post about Pennsylvania Democratic senator Bob Casey running an ad boasting, “Casey bucked Biden to protect fracking and he sided with Trump to end NAFTA,” several other Democratic senators in tight races are running commercials that tout their ability to work with Donald Trump. In Ohio, Democratic senator Sherrod Brown boasts in a new ad, “I’ve worked with presidents of both parties to do what’s best for our state.” Then there’s Wisconsin Democratic senator Tammy Baldwin; her new ad boasts, ‘Tammy Baldwin got President Trump to sign her Made in America bill.” In Michigan, Democratic congresswoman Elissa Slotkin is running for the Senate seat of the retiring Debbie Stabenow; a the end of August, her campaign started running an ad featuring the congresswoman saying, “I’ve been obsessed with lowering drug costs, passing the laws that allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices. And that’s why I wrote a law, signed by President Trump, forcing drug companies to show their actual prices.” Like I said, this is very interesting. D Senators, not touting working with Biden, but working with Trump, Why? Well that is very interesting really. Because they are anticipating having to work with Trump in the very near future. They are not saying they will be able to work with Karmela. Very interesting. I'm sure you won't find this very interesting. But that does not mean it is not very interesting. mspart3 points

I don’t know. Grow the sport? It’s like the same guy scheduling the tomato cans bo nikal has been fighting made this schedule though.3 points

People love to hate on Cornell here every time their fans point out how worse schools like Oklahoma State and Penn State are in comparison and how idiotic recruits and transfers are to go there instead. But who else is offering the opportunity to spend a year at community college and then graduate from a top 25 school in 7 years with an undergraduate degree in Aquaponics?3 points

So think how much better his second term will be now that he has work experience.2 points

It would be nice to see more working together to get things done.2 points

The first video did. Those articles are cities under financial stress due to illegals.2 points

Ivy League schools are no longer part of the EIWA. If Cornell wants to schedule this meet, they would have the flexibility and where with all to do so. Not judging, but guessing any issues moving forward would be on the side of Penn State.2 points

So, we will either get 2 on one side of the bracket or all three on the same side. i would love it if all three end up on the same side so we hopefully get all three go against each other I know that would suck for the guy who gets 5th place, but it’s the best outcome for the fans. This is assuming all three show up close to their top form. I have my doubts about Sadulaev, but would love to be proven wrong2 points

Here's a classic example: https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/20/politics/mcdonalds-donald-trump-pennsylvania/index.html Now one should first ask how does Trump dropping in to work at a local McDonald's thrust corporate into the political arena? But then you should ask why did Trump do this? Well it was because Harris said she worked at a McDonald's. So shouldn't CNN's lead be Harris thrusts McDonald's ... ? But no that's not how CNN rolls, they want to first bias the reader toward their political view.2 points

WKN is welcoming censorship from EU on American soil. What happens when they go after someone he supports? mspart1 point

Have you had a chance to listen to the JD Vance interview? Martha Raddatz suggests that the (Colorado) gang incidents were limited to "a handful of apartment complexes" and that the situation was being managed by local law enforcement. Vance retorted, "Martha (Raddatz), do you hear yourself? Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs." WKN, do you hear yourself? You are talking about Musk and glossing over the EU overreach?1 point

You know what I almost never find interesting? Something someone appends "very interesting" to. If someone who works for me send me a link and their email says very interesting, I tell them to read it and tell me why.1 point

The collective brain power you used to come up with that must have been very taxing for you.1 point

Man...you don't get it...talking about people's kids or family is off the table here so I would advise you to stop immediately.1 point

Or it could be that RBY (who went to the same HS as Vega) is now training at OSU. And that DT and co are now there and he sees them as the staff who can help him achieve his goals better.1 point

Also neither of those articles mentioned anything about people being laid off. So you just lied. Or are stupid and didn't read them. Or both.1 point
-
So requesting federal funding causes layoffs somehow? That's news to me. It would seem that doing that would prevent layoffs since they are getting money from outside of their usual budget. But I wouldn't expect somebody who thinks Trump would be a good president to have a very good understanding of how federal and local funding works.1 point

Not to get too off topic, but I'm hoping DT "flips" a couple of guys at Worlds!1 point

That's basically his thought process. Weird how he only says negative things about news outlets that don't always give him favorable news. He even spoke badly of Fox News when they dated to report something negative about him. He's a thin skinned chimpanzee. Kind of like somebody else who posts here. Hmmm.1 point

Sorry, responded to the wrong message. I was referencing the one by someone else saying "maybe 20 wrestlers getting more than 1-2K a year off of NIL at the D1 level." I'm saying if the 5th-6th best kid on a 20ish ranked team is getting $3000-5000 a year, its way more than 20 kids getting over $1000. And the top kids are getting way more money than that poster believes.1 point

Is that supposed to be some evidence of Trumps initiatives for the 2024 campaign? A bill that a congressmen wrote in 2018 that Trump signed? Or another who publicly spoke out against EV initiatives, but actually voted for them, and also five years ago? Do you read past headlines?1 point

He hasn't articulated a single plan to get a single policy implemented in this campaign for anyone to look forward to.1 point
-
Yes that's the response I keep loving more and more, since the guy has not articulated one single policy the entire campaign. Sure he says I'm going to....blah blah blah (like he said last time), but he has not articulated one single policy and how he is going to get it implemented yet in this campaign. Word salad doesn't even begin to describe articulation....kinda like a former candidate we used to know. But yeah.....it makes the minions feel better.1 point

This is how you look in the mirror the next day? Bad strategy.1 point

It's pretty amazing to me that there are still people who listen to him speak, and want him as some sort of 'leader'. Particularly since it is the same people who would listen to Biden speak and say, rightfully so, that he is nowhere near fit for office. They want to talk about lies , but the guy goes on TV, still this weekend, and says parents drop off their boys at school and the next time they see them they are girls, and they'll ignore it and look for a link to post about Walz or Harris.. The left was pretty bad about defending Biden, but it's no where near the level of the MAGA minions with Trump. We're at the point they are slobbering over 'what a good guy' because he did a photo op at a McDonald's drive thru, as a childish reaction to being triggered by his new opponent, whom his team won't let him debate because he got the shit kicked out of him last time, and each next time in front of the microphone is worse than the previous.1 point

The EU's potential penalties should not extend to all of Musk's businesses simply because of his management style. The core issue is about free speech, not the way Musk operates his companies. It is not appropriate for a government to penalize multiple companies for free speech on one platform.1 point

An understanding of what freedom of speech actually is and actually isn’t would help you.1 point
